American Sewer

They were pretty quick considering the project, and they even saved off some concrete chunks for me so I was able to show the contractor responsible for the concrete seeping into my drain, and get reimbursed from that contractor.

The whole experience was great. After purchasing a Living Social deal to get my sink unclogged and finding out the vendor could not complete the work he recommended American Sewer and called him while he was standing in my kitchen. Later that day American Sewer came out to my home and fixed my problem in less than 15 minutes. He was friendly, informative and cleaned up after himself. I'd most definitely use this vendor again.

It went well. Jonathan came out and cleared out both our drains, and they're working much more smoothly now! I wanted to wait a little bit to write this review to make sure they remained clear, but after just shy of a month, they're still working much better! He also fixed a very minor issue with our toilet that I now know how to fix if it occurs again. I'll definitely use American Sewer for future drain issues!

We were happy to have same morning Saturday service. The technician was prompt, professional and clean (if you have had your drains cleaned in the past, you know this is not always true). He gave us an estimate which was accurate,c leaned up, and tested his work. We were happy to get his taken care of so promptly on a weekend.

Jon and Seth were concerned about meeting me at a time convenient to me, arrived right when they said they would, were very nice, and finished the job quickly. What a great experience with American Sewer, and a great start to my relationship with Angie's List.

OK...didn't say much or follow up as my wife and I weren't home...only my son. Didn't know what caused the clog. Would have been nice to get a follow up call.

American Sewer cleared out my sewer and floor drain. I paid every additional cost the worker suggested, including a new drain cap, which made my bill $190. When I asked the employee if the drain had looked clogged, he said that it wasn't too bad, and that I would not have to get it cleared out for two years. He also indicated in writing that I would only have to get it cleared out every two years. Three weeks later my drain backed up. I called the company and the owner, Jonathan and another employee came out (neither were the original worker). He stated that for him to clear the drain would cost me an additional $80 an hour. When I told him his employee said it wouldn't have to be cleared again for 2 years, he said, "I don't know what he said." He refused any assistance to finish the job that I had already paid $190 for without my paying additional money. He refused at the time to even negotiate. I asked him to stand by the work of the representative of his company, and he insisted that the pipes must be damaged (they are brand new pipes, not damaged according to the worker who came out 3 weeks previous). As Jonathan left, he told me that I was "difficult" and "Good luck finding someone else to help you with this." After he left he sent texts and called repeatedly to try to work it out, but offered no apology. As a single mother, 5'2" tall, who lives alone in her home, I felt very shaken by this whole experience. I hope to never have any contact with Jonathan or his company again.

The drain cleaned out was quite clogged, took a while, and was well worth the labor swap. He also replaced a plug in the drain for no extra charge - the previous was super-rusted. Very impressed and pleased, would definitely call on them again for drain cleaning.

Technician arrived promptly and cleaned out the floor drain. Service was completed within an hour. He even went above and beyond and mopped up the residue water on the floor from where the drain had partially flooded the floor.

The technician arrived approximately 30 minutes after I called. I showed him the problem drain and he immediately went to work. Within 30 to 45 minutes the clogged drain was fixed. He tested the drain to ensure it was working properly, and then he went above and beyond by mopping the residual water on the surrounding floor where it had flooded the floor. The service call was all around a good experience. I would utilize this company again and I would recommend the to others.

He did what he was supposed to, was prompt and communicated well.

Covered stirs and area to drain and completed work timely was a little late due to another job but did not call to let us know in advance.

We use them every year to clean out our main line. They worked quickly and we never have any problems with backup after they do the job. Everything is cleaned up right away and they respond to all phone calls very quickly.

They were able to determine that the clog was from flushable wipes and told us to not use them anymore, this was something another plumbing service did not tell me when they came out a month earlier to unplug the same toilet.

Very punctual and professional. Conscientious about keeping the area clean. Very thorough exploration and effective service.

Jonathan answered the phone on a Sunday afternoon. He listened to our problem, and sent a technician out within two hours. The technician, Seth,carefully reviewed the work that was done just 30 days ago, and determined that the last vendor used a smaller blade to do the work. He was polite, respectful and laid down pads and runners down the steps, and around the work area. He gave us a discount, and said to call right away with any additional problems.

We had sewage back-up in March, a month prior to calling American Sewer. at first I called a "$99" place to root the main line. with the additional fee just to drive there, the fee to remove the toilet, and I forget if there were other fees, but it ended up being about $325, and nothing was accomplished. they told us that there was probably ice in our sewage line, at 48 feet out. they kept trying to get us to pay to steam the lines for $1500, but given that it was March, we figured we'd rather wait a bit than pay that exorbitant amount. also, we weren't too confident in their analysis anyway, since they themselves didn't seem too sure, and they seemed so shocked that we wouldn't just pay the $1500. Fast forward past the 4-6 weeks of hardly using any water, with gurgling every time you brush your teeth or flush the toilet.... We hoped that the frost had finally thawed, and looked on Angie's list and found a few names for some better plumbers. the first one I called was still quite expensive for the first hour, the rooting, and if we needed to steam the line. Then I called American Sewer. I believe the owner was the one who answered the phone and gave me lots of info. the $125 deal on Angie's List, to root the main line (for the first hour), is apparently their everyday low price. and $80 for the second hour. and rather than charging more to steam the line, they could just run a hose with hot water down it, as long as the ice wasn't more than 50 feet out. seems so logical and easy! so unless it was further out, there wouldn't be any additional steaming charges either, even if we had ice still. (I really wished I'd had called them first!!) They rooted their way through the sludge, and removed tree trunks and such (the first plumber at the other company told me there were no branches...) and then took care of a couple more drains that had gotten quite plugged as we waited the month in between plumbers and the place is back to working like new! After a month of gurgles and sputtering in the lines, it's such a relief! I'm extremely pleased with American Sewer. they're great at what they do, and very reasonably priced.

Called first thing Monday morning, and he was able to come later that same day, as opposed to other companies who were unable to help for at least a week. Superior experience. Called me again before he came to give an arrival time. Explained what he was going to do when he got here. Very pleasant and professional. Had protective mats to protect my kitchen floor. His experience with this type of issue was evident. DEFINITELY would recommend.

Great - he was right on time, very professional. Did not push additional services. Clearly knew what he was doing - switched blades to deal with blockages, etc. Helped us understand what possible issues could be (part of the pipe might be slightly offset) but was able to clean it of tree roots (and baby wipes - and we don't have a baby!!). Will definitely use him annually for main line cleaning. It took two hours, versus one, but it also hadn't been cleaned out in two years (is supposed to be done every year) so I wasn't surprised about that.

Great - I called to set up a future appointment and they said they were able to send someone out in 20 minutes. The job ended up being a little more involved than anyone thought and due to some crazy plumbing from a remodel. They were GREAT and reasonably priced. Very professional - would highly recommend them.

He ended up not doing a lot, but he did come and give us the answer that we needed. He gave us everything that we can get out of him so it was a good visit. They were very helpful and friendly.

That was a positive experience. He discovered that one of my drains is really clogged. I didn't disliked anything about him. He seemed to know what he was doing and he checks to make sure that everything was running smoothly before he left.
