After my basement flooded due to roots in my main sewer line I initially contacted a well known national company. They came out promptly but upon arrival the plummer wrote up an estimate for nearly $1000.00 I asked him to pack up his stuff and leave. Unbelievable. I then looked on Angie's List and found good reviews for American Sewer. They came out the following morning and arrived within the time frame they specified. The plumber took precautions to protect my basement carpet by laying down tarps along the route he needed to take through the house to complete the work. He provided a quote of $215 before he began the work, executed it promptly and did not leave a mess behind. Better yet he stuck to his price estimate. This is a good company that recognizes the value of treating their customers with respect and does it at more than fair price. I highly recommend them.

The guy that came out was fantastic, made a follow up call with our city, the city had another plumber come out and confirmed what the original contractor had told us. I had purchased a big deal for $99 for main sewer line cleaning and they let me put that $99 towards the work.

After a few trips to the local home improvement store and my own attempts to unclog the kitchen sink, first using a chemical drain cleaner and then an auger, I threw in the towel and decided to hire a plumber. I had no idea who to call in my area so I went online and joined Angie's list. Am I glad I did. I called American Sewer and the plumber was at my door within a couple of hours. He was courteous and professional and got the job done in plenty of time for me to make dinner. Great job!

They went out of their way to do a tremendous job. They went above the call of duty. It was a blockage that extended way out toward the main line (120 feet out) and he cleared it.

Great company. Called them back to have them install a basement toilet. Outstanding work.

It went fine. The plumber was at the home for a ½ hour and no follow up was done.

It was fine. I didn't pay more than $124. They fixed some kind of valve issue, the water would run. Afterwards we just had a leak in the bottom of the toilet, so somehow they had to resit the stool .

Jonathan was not able to clear it after working it for a long time. Found out the pipe was corroded after using his video cable. Recommended another awesome plumber (Kok Lee) to dig up floor and repair the line.

Contacted the company and got a 3 hour appointment window for later in the day. We received a courtesy call 30 minutes prior to arrival. Service tech got right to work and fixed the issue. No hidden fees. Happy with service.

One of the drains leaked after and they had to return to tighten my bathroom sink. One week later another drain backed up to my kitchen sink. He had to go through a bedroom closet to clean the kitchen drain, which lead to damaged shoes and clothes.

Prefect! I attempted to improve the slow tub/sink draining resulting in it becoming completely clogged - no more showers! Call Jonathan, and he was able to come out the next day. He kept in contact about where he was and his estimated time of arrival. Jonathan resolved the issue w/o much problem. I would not have been able to fix it. Next time I will not waste my time, but instead pick up the phone and call American Sewer.

I was babysitting grandkids and needed them before their window of time. They came within 30 minutes and spent hours at my home! Jon wouldn't leave until I was assured the problem wouldn't happen again. Because Jon could see from his camera that my issues also included the city of Blooomington, he suggested calling them and involving them in the final result. All of that took place before 9 p.m., my issue was resolved and I am most thankful for his persistence getting to the real cause of my problem.

This is my first use of theis company. When I called they were very pleasant and scheduled my appointment quickly. The day of the appointment they actually arrived early, but had called to let me know when they would be here. He cleaned the drain after having to do some extra work and quickly came to the first floor bathroom to do some work on the toilet, All was accomplished within the $89.00 charge time. The young man did a really good job and was vey pleasant. I would definately use them again and recommend them to others.
