Dave was on time and went above and beyond. Not only did he snake the drain, but he cleaned up the dirty area and left the room looking better than when he arrived. Top work!

Pipes were all clean... I was surprised to see that there was nothing in the pipes at all. The job went pretty quickly, and there was nothing to clean, so it was only a camera inspection. The plumber (?) was polite, and left no mess.

American Sewer did a fantastic job for us and saved us when we were in a pretty tight spot. We had another, much bigger company clear our main line of roots almost 3 years ago. This other company recommended we get this done every 2-3 years. So this year we went back to them for the same service. Long story short they basically told us we were looking at anywhere from $10k-20k+ for all new lines, etc. We couldn't afford it and were, naturally, very concerned. This was a few weeks ago and, this morning, the water stopped draining from our house. I went to Angie's List and started making calls for another company to check out our situation. American Sewer was able to send someone same day and, upon hearing about our experience, assured us we were likely fine. The technician that was sent (Rob) was thorough, professional, reassuring and kind. He cleared the pipe and ran a camera after the work to show us what it looked like. What was previously a scary-looking line full of roots and what we were told was impending doom (broken lines! a sink hole growing under our house!) was now entirely clear. It was recommended that we get this work done every year and, if we do, we should be in fine shape indefinitely. We will be going back to American Sewer for all plumbing work we need going forward. Good. They came out a long time after the purchase. I don't believe I was charged extra. There was a little bit of clean up I had to do but it wasn't that bad but I didn't appreciate having to do that. I really didn't have much interaction with them, they did the work and that was about it. Good price. The quality was good all except for the clean up.

It went great. They came on time and they were very efficient. Also very professional.

My sink clogged last night after supper after I ran some peels through the garbage disposal. I was impressed that they could fit me in right away the following morning. The work performed and the price were excellent. He did a great job not only taking care of the clog but also ensuring it was pushed all the way through so that it would not back up further down the system. He made sure everything was put back and not leaking before he left. He also showed me why I was unable to unclog it myself with my auger and showed me how I could do it myself next time. Only problem I had was that when I call he gave me an 8-11 time slot and said he would put me in the first spot of the day so that I could get out and get to work at a decent time. He didn't call until 10:30, so by the time the work was finished and I was able to head to work it was almost 11:45. He was still within the window, but it was obvious that I didn't get placed in the first spot of the day light I was told. Beyond that minor issue, I would absolutely recommend this crew as their prices are very reasonable and the work was well done.

Great experience. Called early morning and guy showed up around noon. Super friendly and professional. Highly recommend. This is the second time we've used them in past few years. I won't call anyone else when I have laundry drain issues.

Our sewer had backed up into our laundry room; it was of course late on a Friday. The (very very long) pipe to the street was full of roots. It took hours and hours over a couple of days. At one point, it wasn't looking good, and we thought we might need to have our yard dug up, but Jonathan kept working and working and eventually got through the entire length of the pipe. We were very pleased with the service and would definitely hire this company again.

I'm new to Angie's List and this was my first time using the program. Due to my newness :) there were some communication problems at the beginning because I'd contacted the wrong vendor. However, between them and Angie's List, they sorted that out and within just a few hours I was contacted by the American Sewer folks. I purchased one of their specials to clean a kitchen drain and receive a complimentary toilet check. American Sewer met all my expectations: they were very responsive and professional, they came when they said they would and performed the service very satisfactorily. Kudos to John, the technician: he gave me some very helpful tips to keep my drains running clear. John was polite, professional and cleared the drain promptly with no fuss. He tested the work to make sure it was clear, and cleaned up under the sink afterward. I am very pleased with this service and this vendor. The price was exceptionally reasonable. I will definitely use them in the future.

Had some difficulty with kitchen drain but was successful as the plug was in a pipe in the basement Other drain was done without problems.

I was surprised when water backed up in my basement. It was 6:00 AM and I had to go to work and this put the kibosh on my getting to work early. I called several plumbing companies, only one replied back and they referred me to American Sewer since the referrer didn't do the work. They came on time exactly at 8:00 AM. The technician was prompt in getting work done and made sure to keep the job as tidy as possible. The work was done right: he ran a rooting snake through the line and got a bunch of roots. He got it done in under an hour and it they stuck with the agreed upon price of $120. The only real downside was that their services are a la carte, so if you want them to run a camera in your plumbing, that'll cost you an extra $120. Aside from that, they do good work and I didn't have any problems with them.

They were early. They guy was very personable. found roots in the main line (showed me on the camera). Fixed the problem with the clogged floor drain then I set up another appointment for them to come back and do the main line. Second appointment went as well as the first and was less expensive that I thought it was going to be.

Seth, did a great job. He had to snake it twice, and the second time, he got the rough area. Very nice person.

Our basement floor drain was clogged and backing up every time we did dishes or laundry. I was concerned the showers were connected and considered it an emergency. I found American Sewer on Angie's List and gave Jonathan a call late on a weeknight. Not only did he answer, but he ensured me they would send someone out the next day. What happened the next day? They delivered! Seth came out and fixed the plugged drain in about 30 minutes. He was super cool and knowledgeable. And considering I was the last job of the day I truly appreciated the excellent customer service! Thanks guys!

I needed to have the floor drain cleaned again within 6 months so I don't think they did a very good job.

The person arrived in a black shabby looking van without any company markings on it. No uniform or ID showing that he was from American Sewer. He began working on the bathtub drain and said he had to check the drain trap, which was located in the basement in our tuck-under garage. He proceeded to bang on the cap, located on the ceiling of our garage, with a hammer and screwdriver. After plaster from the ceiling began coming off, he told my husband that he couldn't get the cap loosened or removed, and that he usually can't because they are hard to remove. It would have been nice if he would have said something FIRST before he tried this! He did not unclog the bathtub drain. He did unclog the bathroom sink drain. My husband called and spoke with Jonathan and told him what happened, and he stopped by our house and said the same thing; that these drain trap caps can be difficult to remove. My husband told him he felt he shouldn't have to pay for a service he didn't receive, and Jonathon told him because they did come out and unclog the sink drain, we would still have to pay. Jonathon then gave my husband $40 cash and told him he'll likely need to call a plumber if a handy-person cannot fix it. Although our bathroom sink drain was unclogged, the tub was not. In addition, we now have water leaking into our garage anytime we turn on the water in the bathtub! Wow! Never again!

It went very well. The serviceman was friendly and worked very hard to get the job done. I would definitely use them again.

He came by the day I called and after checking out the drain, had it cleared in about 30 minutes. He was polite, friendly and fast. It was only $89.

They could not find the main drain cover anywhere in my basement so they had to remove the toilet and then charge me for that. The price was fair for what they did.

Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Company coming for dinner tonight? Check. 10 million other things to do today? Check. Plugged up drain, water spilling into basement? Check! Called American Sewer at 7:30 on a Saturday morning and Jonathan was on-site, as promised, 2 hours later. Problem fixed 30 minutes after that. In addition to fixing our plumbing and drain clearing problem Jonathan was incredibly personable and professional. All at a very reasonable as-quoted price. Thank you, Jonathan for a job very well done and helping us get back to enjoying our weekend!
