American Sewer

The service was great. I used another company 6 months ago and their tech only managed to get a small blade, not the normal 4" or 6" blades, to clear all the way through. That is probably why I ended up with another backup in such a short time period. Dave, the American Sewer tech, seemed more experienced than the last person we worked with. After getting stuck even with the small blade, Dave explained what could be going on in the pipes that would cause this type of problem and then discussed the usefulness of a camera inspection with me without making me feel pressured to add the extra work. By taking a peek with his camera, he found our that there was no pipe damage or shifting, which meant that what the job really needed was some elbow grease. After pulling out a pile of tree roots, he managed to work not only the 4" but the 6" blade too, all the way to the street. Mission accomplished, Dave packed up everything and left the basement a bit cleaner than when he arrived. i am hopeful I won't need another clean out for the next few months, but when I do, I won't hesitate to use American Sewer again.

Called at 8:30 at night, so a hundred was emergency afterhours service. They arrived by 9:00pm. Cleaned a four inch pipe with a four inch bit, snaked about fifty feet past the clog just to be sure. Great professional service and very nice friendly individuals. Very pleased.

Jon and Jaime were class acts, down to earth and thoroughly professional. Identified the problem and got to work quickly and fixed the issue. Cleaned up after and was able to take time after the job was done to talk through other plumbing issues. Awesome job!

The people at American Sewer were friendly and easy to deal with. Seth showed up on time and was really confident and positive about what needed to be done to resolve my years-old slow drain issue. He was right, it was easy and pretty quick to fix (for the professional with the right tools), I had poked at it with my homeowner's snake but only fixed it for the minute. It is now truly fixed. I will call them for any future drain or sewer issues.

Dave arrived and was able to quickly resolve the clogged pipe. I had disconnected the sink trap so he reassembled and made sure that the sink drained properly, along with the other sinks/tub attached to that drain.

He was informative and was able to get the main drain flowing.

Tech did a good job. Talked me through the status of my sewer line and how/why of issues. Turned out the line was in good shape (new home to me, but built in 1967).

Things went incredibly well! The guy that came out was professional and really great! He did a great job and cleaned up - it was perfect. I've had other companies in the past that tried to exaggerate things and up sell me. I felt like these guys were really honest and were good at what they did. Thank you!!! He did a good job. He found the problem. They came out right away and it didn't take long once he got in there because he had the right equipment. That was a good price to get that done. He's pretty professional.

I had a clogged floor drain in my laundry room which caused a flooded floor when I ran the laundry. I called in the early morning and they were able to send someone the same day which was great. He fixed it, it is working fine now. He was professional and knowledgeable.I bought the $95 special and that covered it, which was a more than reasonable price. Happy with sevice!

Dave was 30 minutes late but called to tell me. He apologized. After that, he was very helpful and knowledgeable. He identified the problem and fixed it well. I felt very comfortable with everything as well as his competence. I will definitely use American in the future.

I had a floor drain backing up that I attempted to clear with a drain snake. I wasn't sure that I had gotten it properly cleaned out so I called American Sewer. They had someone out to the house within a few hours. He snaked the drain and then ran a camera through the drain to ensure it was cleaned out. He was prompt, very professional, cleaned up when he was done. I was happy with the service and will definitely use American Sewer again if needed.

quickly done and no issues in the year following

We noticed water in our basement on Saturday morning. We gave American Sewer a call and they sent someone out to our home within 2 hours. The representative that came to our house, I believe his name was Johnathan, seemed to be in a rather unpleasant mood and was not very friendly. We brought him to the basement and showed him the drain and described the problem. He promptly figured out that our sewer drain was backed up, and recommended a cleaning and camera inspection. We agreed to both. After he had cleaned our drain, he explained that some roots were giving him a problem and he was not able to get them all out, despite doing everything he could to get rid of them. There was very little clean-up done as he was leaving. He left a ball of roots in our basement sink and a rust stain on our driveway. There was also some water on our floor and the drain cover was left off. All-in-all, we appreciate Johnathan coming out on such short notice on a Saturday, but we would have liked to see a more professional attitude and a more thorough clean-up effort.

They did an excellent job, I was really happy.

It was a very difficult problem. Two other sewer companies came out and neither could cut through the blocked line. Jonathon, the owner of American Sewer, worked for several hours on the job and DID IT!! He is professional, responsive, and capable. And he and his assistant cleaned up after. A very good company.

American Sewer was very responsive, I was able to have someone come out the same day I called. Both people that came out were pleasant and knowledgeable. The first individual that came had a machine to clean the main sewer line that was too large to fit through my narrow hallway, they were able to send a different person with a smaller machine within 30 minutes of the first guy. I was happy with the main service line video and cleaning and added a snaking service for my tub. I will definitely contact them again in the future.

They did a great job! There were some issues around clean-up, which is not typical of them. Jonathan was REALLY responsive and strove hard to resolve the matter to our satisfaction. I have never come across a vendor who was so committed to his customers. We would definitely use them again!
