Description of Work: Fixed a toilet that was leaking. They couldn't fix everything but they told me what was wrong, how I could do the work myself (if I wanted to or call them back to do the work), so I appreciated them showing me what to do in order to save some money.

Description of Work: Had American Sewer send a camera down the main sewer line to check its soundness/health as it runs along my driveway and I was about to replace my driveway. My line was healthy and it was fun to track the camera's progress as it made its way to the street.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for $129 for floor drain line cleaning including video inspection. Everything was great.

Description of Work: I bought the big deal without looking at the location of the provider. Once I realized that they were out of my area, I called them and told them that I made a mistake and I needed a refund. They were very professional, they told me to call Angies' list and that I should be able to get my money back.

Description of Work: My main sewer drain was backed up and I needed to have it cleared. It was a saturday and I knew I might pay extra for the weekend service but didn't think it could wait until monday. I was told that someone would be at my house between 4 & 6pm. Rob showed up around 6:15 but I was just happy someone was able to come at all so I didn't think it was that big of a deal. He was super nice, very efficient and professional. He did the work necessary (it was a fairly straightforward job, no issues) and I thought the price, $225, was extremely reasonable. I paid Roto Rooter a heck-of-a lot more than that 3 years ago when I last had the drain cleaned.

Description of Work: I called about a sewer blockage. They responded on the phone with good information indicating that they knew what they were doing. A technician came out according to the appointment made. He was courteous and professional. Unfortunately, he did not stop the blockage. When i called a second time, they sent a person the next day. He was also courteous, professional and explained what he saw needed to be done. The second application worked and I was not charged. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: On may 21 2014 the guy came from America Sewer came to fix my toilet which was backing up. He brought in his tools. He had toilet snake. He put it in my toilet. He could not get though my toilet though all his efforts. He tried every tool he had but he still was unsuccessful. So he said that he would have take toilet up. He asked me if that was alright to do that and he charge $100.00. I said that it would be alright. So he pulled the toilet. He checked the floor drain. It was fine. Then he tried to put the snake in the bottom of the toilet. though his best efforts he could not get the toilet unplugged. He show me that there was something in there. We could not tell what it was and I would have to buy a new toilet. I bought new toilet and put it in. Broke the old toilet to find what was in there I did not find anything.

Description of Work: This was routine maintenance of sewer line, which has a history of significant tree root invasion, causing a backup. He said he was able to remove the roots that were there now, and deemed the line as clear. I did not witness the video inspection, but he said that was done.

Description of Work: Unclogged kitchen sink drain. Left message on a Sat. Evening, got a call back in 5 minutes and scheduled work for Monday. They were done in less than one hour.

Description of Work: Put camera down main sewer drain and showed me the clear line all the way to the storm drain down the street. Cleaned out bathroom sink drain that had been draining slowly. Both of these processes went quickly, without a hitch. Service rep. was pleasant and respectful of my home and time. Extremely pleased.

Description of Work: They were on time and I liked that they called to let me know when they were on their way. They were able to schedule my appointment within a couple of days of my call. I'd purchased a "big deal" but it turned out that this was their regular price. Either way, they cost less than the roto-rooter guy. I'm not sure if they have the camera to further evaluate problems if they're not able to clear your main line, so if you need that, you may have to hire someone else.

Description of Work: We were having recurring problems with a stoppage in the basement. We found American Sewer through Angies List after our home warranty service came up empty handed. American Sewer responded immediately and had someone out within a couple hours. They fixed the immediate problem and then put a camera down the line to see what was going on. Turns out the pipe that keeps clogging is almost level rather than at an angle. Not really something we can permanently fix without tearing up our finished basement. He gave us ideas to help such as using RV/rapid dissolving toilet paper and flushing twice after a BM. So far, these things do seem to be helping because we haven't had a stoppage again so far. The guy that came out was professional and he kept the mess to a bare minimum by covering everywhere he went in plastic. I hope we don't have to call them again but now we know who to call if we do have this problem again.
