All About Upholstery

Matt came to our house the same day we called and gave us a quote on the work we wanted done. He was very friendly and definitely knew what he was doing. He took our cushions and chair seats that day. When we got them back, we were thrilled with the job he did. The chairs looked new and were very professionally done. Would definitely use him again. He does excellent work!

We contacted Tonya and Matthew DuRoche (DeRoche is a misspelling) to inquire about re-upholstering a bed headboard which we planned to purchase from a bedding store. Tonya suggested that not only could they do the upholstery but they could also construct the headboard. Her ballpark pricing information for doing both sounded attractive so we decided to take the next step with her. She came by to look at our bed, made a detailed proposal, and had a large array of fabric samples from which we could make a choice. She was very knowledgeable, professional and personable. She had lots of great suggestions. She wrote up a purchase order and was willing to modify it to include things we wanted such as the use of non-toxic materials and a "complete by" date. The next step was for Matthew, who would construct and upholster the headboard, to stop by to look at the bed. Both of them stopped by and worked collaboratively with us to plan the dimensions and configuration. Matthew delivered and installed the finished headboard a day or two after the due date which was fine with us. We can't say enough good things about the finished product! The detail on the seams is perfect. The upholstered headboard looks great, is just the right size, and mates perfectly with the bed. Matthew even designed the upholstery so the it fits snuggly with the mattress as it raises and lowers. Note that the DuRoches also do business under the name White Cloud Industries, Inc.

I haves used them several times in the past. They do fabulous work even reglueing and staining worn areas.

Tonya and Matthew DeRoche came to the house the day after I called, with fabric samples and measuring tape. They were able to a make pattern off an existing slipcover for the same chair-and-a-half, and had samples of the exact fabric I needed to coordinate with our couch. They estimated a delivery time of 7 to 10 days, which I thought was very reasonable for this large chair. They apparently went to purchase the fabric that day, and completed the slipcover in 2 days. It fit perfectly, and was much better put together than the previous slipcover. Matthew noted that the older version pulled a bit where the arms met the back, and added a gusset to improve the lie of the fabric. He also eased the fit to allow for shrinkage when washing (very important with a white cover). The result is everything I could have hoped for! The cost was at least $100 less than any other company, and they were very responsive. I loved that they are a neighborhood business, and use locally available fabrics as well.
