A-Plus Carpet Cleaning

After we discussed the job I was to call him back to confirm the time. Paul actually called me back to say that due to the nature of his cleaning process the silk in our rugs could cause a problem. He didn't want to do any damage and suggested we try other cleaners. He gave me three names to contact. I very much appreciate Paul's honesty and would recommend him and his company to others.

This is the 5th time in 5 years Paul and Jim have come to my home. Their friendliness, professionalism continues to impress. I've recommended them several times. I will have them back next time!

This was repeat business for me. I called Paul's cell phone to make and appointment, and he called back within 15 minutes. He remembered my husband personally from 18 months ago and asked how he was doing! I scheduled an appointment within a week of this call. Paul called me while he was 20 minutes out to let me know he was on his way. He and Jim arrived exactly on time. They told me the front door would need to be open a crack to do the work, as they were concerned my 4 cats might escape. While I secured them downstairs, Paul and Jim measured the upstairs dining room/living room. I showed them my chief area of concern, where my cats had urinated outside of the litter box. They treated these areas with enzyme deodorizer AT NO EXTRA CHARGE and also gave me a 20% discount for being with Angie's list. Paul explained all charges and wrote out the invoice. They moved furniture and put it up on blocks. The work was done to perfection. They have my business for life!

Job 1: Very friendly and professional. Our alarm system went off while he was there due to some error, and was very understanding when the police showed up. Will definitely recommend to others and use again. Job 2: Our house is on show for sale, and our son dumped out a bucket of dirty water on the white carpet in the main room. I called Paul and he came out within hours and gave us a $25 dollar break on his minimum because it was such a quick and easy job.

They were very responsive, very thorough, and did a nice job of explaining what they could and couldn't fix. Originally they weren't available for my first choice date, they later had a cancellation and were able to work us in then.

Jim had a second person with him to assist moving furniture, etc. The appointment was scheduled for 8:30. They were courteous enough to call us when they were on their way and showed up as scheduled. We showed them the area to clean. Jim asked if there was anything else we needed, I asked if they would clean the runner, Jim said no problem. If he noticed any spots he went over them as many times as needed. Our carpet looks wonderful, we will not be replacing it for several years.

They were terrific! They called me within a half hour of their arrival, were right on time, came in, knew exactly what to do, and I was able to leave and go back to work within a few minutes of their arrival. They finished the job, locked the door behind them, and did the job very well. I will definitely hire them again and recommend them to my friends.

Paul and Jim arrived on time as promised. Both are friendly and were able to finish the job in the time indicated. I have used them previously and will continue to use them.

They are great. The owners came to the house to give an estimate. They were on time and informative. I will use them again.

Paul's co-workers were from my neighborhood (West St. Paul) made for friendly conversation. We felt confident in our choice when they told us what the cut rate contractors did for similar money. A thorough cleaning job done quickly and with every detail done right.

Because we lived in another state when we arranged for this work, I consulted Angie's List, and chose Paul Sievert's company. Although we had purchased the house, we were not yet living in Minneapolis, but still residing in Lawrence Kansas. Mr. Sievert promptly returned my call, and was very good about scheduling the cleaning around another company that we had hired to do the interior painting. The work was completed before we moved in, which was a great help. He even did extra, a couple of small rooms that I had not contracted for, at no extra charge. His bill came in right at where he had estimated, and the work was thorough. I will definitely use this service again when I need to!

Paul was extremely courteous and professional. He arrived on time. He assessed our furniture, which is covered in a difficult fabric to keep clean not to mention our 95 lb. Labrador Retriever claims the furniture as his own. It took maybe a couple of hours. We are very pleased and impressed with the results. The cushions looked fuller afterward. While I don't think it is possible to extract ALL of the pet hair, they did a great job and definitely got MOST of it. He provided a cost estimate range when I scheduled the appointment. The actual cost was right on, plus we had the choice of a 20% discount or free ScotchGaurd treatment. Everything was great. Thank you!

I called Paul, who is a very nice person and stated what I need to have done. I set up a date to have work done. Paul was punctual and ready to begin work. Paul measured the rooms and sat down with me and discussed the price. The work was performed quickly and professionally. My carpets look great, and he even shampooed 4 rugs for free. My compliments to Paul and his cousin for a job well done.

Paul promptly returned my call and scheduled the job with me. He was quite accommodating when I called to reschedule as well. He arrived on schedule, got the job done in less time than estimated, and charged less than the estimated price too! I cannot believe how well the older carpet has cleaned up. It looks great!

This is the third time I have used this company. As usual, they were prompt with their return calls and for the appointment. He provided lots of ideas to deal with an area with pet urine. They did a great job of cleaning the chairs and carpet. I would definitely continue to use them.

They did a great job! Despite the carpet having been neglected for quite some time they were able to come in and quickly and efficiently bring it back to presentable status. I called and they were able to come on relatively short notice to make sure my carpets were cleaned before Christmas. You could tell that they are experienced and knew what they were doing (they were often able to tell what caused a stain on my carpet without me telling them and using the appropriate cleaners/solvents to reduce or remove the stain). The stain on the old upholstered chair is also mostly gone, although I didn't think it was possible. The Angie's list discount was nice, and the bottle of spot remover they left behind for me came in handy after my Christmas party. I would hire again in the future.

I have used them for about 5 years. They are reliable. He is almost obsessive, in a good way. He has to do the whole thing right. He takes great pride in his work. Customer service is important to him.

Good communication throughout the process. They answered the phone when I called, set up time to meet immediately prior to cleaning to make sure all information was clear. They were extremely friendly and thorough; it was very important to Paul that he do a good job and that works met excellent standards.

Did great work, showed up on time, explained options and went over areas 2-3 times. Professional and friendly, would use and recommend them in the future.

Excellent! Our carpet is 10 years old and we have two small dogs and a teenager so needless to say we had a lot of spots and high traffic. After Paul got done cleaning the carpet, it looked like new. This was much more cost efficient than replacing the carpet! I would definitely hire him again.

I was very pleased with the results. They quick and thorough.

Jim Merriman (co-owner) and a helper arrived on time, moved furniture as appropriate, put plastic pads or foam blocks under furniture, did an excellent job. I had to make a medical appointment for 9 am, and they were very accommodating, and worked without me being there. Everything smelled fresh and clean, carpet looks almost new. I was very pleased. The whole job took them about 1 1/2 hours. I will definitely use them again.

He made the interesting comment that they prefer to work for Angie's list customers because they are interested in keeping up their homes and the best to work for.

Excellent service. Arrived on time with appropriate number of assistants. Worked efficiently and thoroughly. Carefully moved and replaced furniture where necessary to completely clean the entire carpet. Results of the carpet cleaning exceeded my expectations.

Jim and associate arrived on time. I was pleased from the start. Jim was wearing an "A-Plus Carpet" shirt- I liked this because it showed he was proud of his company. He was easy going and very professional. In the past, when I've had a new company come into my home to clean carpets from a coupon or discount, the individuals themselves seemed tired and not very clean themselves. Concerned that they would track in dirt as they cleaned my carpets! Jim and A-Plus had none of that. Very smart, professional and took a lot of time re-doing the carpet PLUS wiping up the tile floors and cleaning up after themselves. Their pricing was right on, in line with their phone estimate; my total square footage was bigger than I estimated. They where not the cheapest, but I knew that going in. It was worth it!
