Description of Work: They were able to quickly schedule my AC inspection. They were on time for the appointment and sent an email reminder before the appointed time to let me know they were on their way which is very nice. I've used them a couple of times and have always appreciated their great service and responsiveness.

Description of Work: I chose to purchase our new Furnace & A/C from DuctWorks after several quotes as they had a good price and seemed knowledgeable. I cannot, however, recommend them. |First the PROS: 1) Great price, 2) Friendly staff/crew, although they did need prodding at times to keep things moving. |Now for the CONS and why I cannot recommend them: 1) Marked up walls pretty good bringing equipment in and out of house (in fairness they did pay for a painter to paint the walls) 2) They disconnected the doorbell transformer and threw it away without saying anything or reconnecting it. I had to hire an electrician to find that out and why the doorbell wasn't working. (Again in fairness, they paid for the electrician.) 3) Didn't vent the furnace to code (minor j-hook issue) and city inspector found a gas leak in the furnace. 4) The next day I discovered that the humidifier did not work on the newly installed furnace. On a return visit to investigate the problem, they found that humidifier was incorrectly wired to the new furnace and it was not verified as working during the original installation. 5) Didn't hook up the outside thermometer in the A/C unit to the system & didn't even know it was there to hook up. This is required for the indoor humidity windows protection system feature. This feature would not work until after a few calls to get the issue resolved. (They needed to learn how the equipment they sell and install works.) |Again, unfortunately I cannot recommend DuctWorks after having this many problems which, although they did fix them, should not occur in the first place causing me to take extra time off from work.

Description of Work: Vendor showed up on time and provided the work I requested, a new furnace humidifier and humidistat. My only note is that they took my original humidistat with them which was brand new and had intended to repurposed it. I called to get it back along with noting that the new unit was not turning on often. The vendor offered to send someone out but it was not practical at that point for me to take time off work for the appointment. I ended up just taking the new humidistat off and checking the wiring myself, after reinstalling the unit the system worked fine. I decided to just let the cost of my old humidistat go as it was too much trouble for me to follow up on. While not thrilled with losing my original new humidistat I cannot give this vendor poor marks because they did offer to rectify the issue I just couldn't take the time during the period to be off work to make that follow up appointment.

Description of Work: I needed the AC unit disconnected from the house to have some regrading done on the side of the house. The work went well. The technician was professional and efficient.

Description of Work: I scheduled Ductworks heating and air conditioning for routine cleaning of the furnace; my furnace stopped working that week. I thought I might need a new furnace. But Ductworks just gave the gas furnace & pilot a thorough cleaning, and the furnace was back to work. Ductworks also had the right size furnace filter, so I had that installed as well. I will use Ductworks again!

Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for $75 for 20-Point A/C Tune-Up & up to 1 Pound of Refrigerant. I had them put in two furnaces and an A/C unit, the entire HVAC system for $9,000.00. Afterwards, they didn't respond to any of my maintenance calls so I haven't been able to use this big deal.

Description of Work: The forced air furnace had stopped working. The burner ignited fine, but the main blower would not come on. It was April, so not exactly an emergency, but they still came out the day after the call. I was with the technician as he diagnosed the system. A relay had gone bad, and was soldered to the control board, so the entire unit had to be replaced. More than I wanted to pay, but that was what the problem was. The cost was for the board, installation and the time to drive to get the part (an older furnace so parts not in his truck). Did an excellent job and I would use them again. Payment was instantaneous via iPad.
