DuctWorks did a great job. The person who helped us (can't remember name) was very professional and helpful. We had a leak due to clogged condensate drain and he cleaned it out for us, which fixed the issue. He also gave us an inspection of both the air handling unit as well as the compressor for a very low price. I highly recommend them for any HVAC service.

Vince did a great job and took time explaining options and his recommendations. What I most appreciated was that there was no pressure to attempt to have me spend money on questionable repairs or a new furnace. I will definitely be contacting Ductworks for an estimate when I decide to replace the HAC system. Based on the prompt attention and manner in which I was treated, i feel that I can depend on this company to be honest and to perform work fairly and at a reasonable cost.

We purchased The Big Deal for a 20+ Point Certified Fall Furnace Tune-Up as we are looking to put our house on the market & our furnace if over 25 years old. I was very impressed with the work that was done. The technician was very honest as to the status of our furnace & was clear as to risks involved with such an old furnace. We would definitely use this company again.

They did a great job. They installed the unit. They did the work in one day. I was really pleased with their punctuality, service, and everything else. I would use them in the future.

They found that the heating element of the furnace was cracked and the burners were so corroded that they shut down the furnace. They recommend that rather than repair it to replace it with a new furnace which in fact I did. On their recommendation it ended up being $8500 worth of a new furnace and air conditioner. According to them the danger of carbon monoxide poisoning was real. I felt that the sales guy whose name is Rhod was really honest with me. I thought I had to really trust him in what he recommended. They came in and installed a brand new furnace one of the 95% efficient one and Rhod threw in a humidifier because I got an air conditioner. I thought they were just wonderful. I cannot say enough about them. Price wise I do not know whether it was reasonable or not. All I know is that I really had a sense of trust when they said what I need. I trusted them otherwise I would have got a bunch of bills. They shut down the furnace just when it was getting cold. I will use them in the future. I am a single straight woman and things go wrong with the furnace or the car I freak out and think I don’t have a husband to deal with this. But the Duct Works people were so nice and I absolutely trusted them. I put myself in their hands. I was not planning to spend $8500 on a furnace. It was not high in my list of priority. But I feel really confident that Rhod the sales guy recommended that I get the 95% efficiency one. He took the time to explain to me what the benefits were of that. He even explained that even though there was anything wrong with the AC and that the furnace and the AC worked together and it would be smarter to get both of them replaced at once. I absolutely trusted them and that is what I needed to do. One of the things that they did was that they showed me their Angies List rating also. They were rated number one for the last couple of years. Seeing the Angies List certificate and knowing that they were very well recommended by Angies List added to my confidence. Rhod is real nice young guy and he came across as being so honest and so full of integrity and when he said that I needed a new furnace that I sanctioned it. They were very professional. I had a couple of questions, there was some water leaking and I was concerned about that, and there were a couple of things that were wrong and I called them and told them that I do not know whether it was normal or not. But they came right out the next day checked it out found that one of the screws were not tightened properly and fixed it. They were very responsive that they came right out. They did a good job and they were great though the two cats that I have freaked with all the banging that was going on downstairs. I would probably have to replace the furnace if I were to sell the house and now I can have the benefit of it for the next five or six years and lower the cost and all that. The humidifier that they threw in is really going to help because it is so dry here in the winter. It so matters that you trust the people that are working in your house.

Arrive on time. Took about 45 minutes inspecting and cleaning the furnace. After he was finished, he spoke to my wife and informed her that we were missing a vent cap on the furnace exhaust duct work.

We purchased the furnace tune-up using an Angie's List BigDeal coupon. The humidifier tune-up was extra. Scheduling was easy. Vince arrived on time. He worked efficiently. When the work was completed, he reported on the tune-up, explaining various readings. He also pointed out some things unique to our model that we may need to watch for in the future. He installed a humidifier filter that DuctWorks had brought us last year, which reduced the humidifier tune-up charge.

I appreciated they worked with me on the price. They included the labor cost for installation of the stove exhaust and the bathroom exhaust. The pricing was a little bit higher than it needed to be, in my opinion, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.

We were able to schedule an appointment without any problem which is not always easy (we travel a good deal). The serviceman was quite punctual (a little early in fact), professional and polite. Our unit was in good shape so we really didn't need any coolant, repairs, etc.; however, as my husband pointed out, it would be hard to get someone to just come out for that price. Overall made a very good impression.

Our A/C stopped working, so based on Angie's List reviews, I called DuctWorks to come out and look at the A/C. When Rick arrived he did a quick inspection of the unit and tried to put coolant in it, but the compressor was blown and wasn't holding any coolant. He said the compressor could be replaced, but recommended based on the fact that we plan to own the house for many years to replace it. I set up a call with their sales person. Rhod came in and did a fantastic job explaining my options, listening to what I wanted from a new A/C and furnace and explaining why DuctWorks is different from other installers. I really appreciated that DuctWorks installers are NATE certified and not just a handyman. Most importantly, he took the time to measure the doors and windows to get accurate sizing information. The other contractor I got a bid from did nothing other than ask how big the house was and based the size of the equipment on that. Once the equipment was sized, Rhod drew up a proposal including many of the discounts and upgrades that they were including. He also included a duct cleaning, which needed to be done badly. The installers arrived on time and were very friendly and professional. They took care to not ding any walls or leave any scuffs while carrying in and out any equipment. They were done in less time than I expected and cleaned up once they were done. DuctWorks provided all the forms for the various rebates that had much of the information filled in for me, so sending them in was easy. At each step of the process, no matter who I talked to, they would always make sure I had all my questions answered and made sure I knew they were there to help. DuctWorks made what was a stressful situation into a pleasant experience. Their attention to detail and helpfulness was great. I would highly recommend them and use them again.

Vince arrived early, which was fine with me, and began inspecting the furnace. He then went outside to inspect the Bryant air conditioning unit and related hoses. His findings were that the system is running as expected, even though the A/C unit is inefficient. He recommended that I replace the furnace filter, which it needed. At my request, he provided me with some good information on replacement systems (just in case I needed one).

The serviceman was on time, very polite and friendly. Promptly went to work checking out our old central air unit. He also checked out the condenser hose(?) and explained everything he had done.

I purchased DuctWorks' "Big Deal" offer of an A/C tune-up. This was as a result of lack of cool air being generated by the central air unit and I was concerned the whole thing was failing. I felt it was necessary to turn the central air off to prevent any damage which didn't make my very pregnant wife for happy over this past inferno like weekend. Anyway, I called on Friday for service and explained why we (my wife) was so desperate to get this fixed ASAP. DuctWorks shuffled their schedule to accommodate us and showed up early on Monday! After doing the tune-up thing and adding some refrigerant, we are again feeling the cool air flow! Very happy with the price, scheduling, and performance. Enthusiastically recommended.

I emailed them to set up an appointment and Jenn got back to me right away. Vince was right on time and very professional. I was fully expecting him to find something or there to be a surprise extra cost somewhere but there wasn't. He told me that my AC was running fine (although it's older so it's not as efficient as it could be) but that we really need to get our furnace checked out. We are planning on replacing it as it's original to the house. Because of their good work we will consider them for this replacement.

Repairman was conscientious and thorough. Although courteous, followup from office to customer was nonexistent if it wasn't for my numerous calls. I expected credit on final bill for lengthy wait. I did receive Angieslist discount for AC tuneup. Added note: After work was performed, I later noticed oil on area of furnace under area where AC part was installed. I wiped area clean and followed where oil came from. It was also saturated within the foam insulation of copper tubing. A connection made by repairman was covered with a large wad of black sticky tape. Entrance holes into furnace were not resealed with caulking as was there before work was performed. I made call to company for follow up to address the issues and owner was scheduled to fix the problems. His solution was to put plumber's putty on leaking air holes where caulking should have been used. He did not address the oil mess and didn't replace tape with original insulating foam. I think my furnace is now degraded in its efficiency. I will call a different heating and air conditioning company to correct their careless workmanship.

I purchased a Big Deal for the furnace tune up, and when I made the appointment, also asked for an A/C tuneup. Since I live out of town, they were very accommodating in the date/time to meet me at my property. Vince, the tech, was right on time. He was professional and friendly. He said it would take about 1.5 hrs to do the job, which turned out to be very accurate. During the A/C tuneup he discovered a leak, because the unit hold 6 lb of Puron, but only had 4 lb. He asked if the house had been cooling properly, but I didn't know since the tenants never mentioned anything wrong. He didn't know if it was a slow leak (from when it was installed in 2003), and didn't know where the leak was coming from unless he did some additional testing. I decided to wait on this, since it couldn't be done that day, and just had him fill up the Puron. He said the first pound was free, but the second pound was $39. He also noticed that the furnace humidifier filter needed changing. I was planning on replacing it (and the annual furnace filter) after he left, but since he had one in his truck, I had him do it. It cost $18, which is about what it costs at home improvement stores. I had a good experience tihe Duct Works and would use them again in the future.

They did a good job. We are now talking to them about possibly installing a ductless A/C unit.

From start to finish, I was extremely impressed by DuctWorks? professionalism and helpfulness. Unlike four other companies I called (including the original installer of the air conditioner), DuctWorks were the only ones that were willing to handle parts for this air conditioner under warranty?they even offered to check before they came out for the diagnostic whether or not the warranty was still valid. Vince was the tech that did all of the work; he was quiet but friendly and extremely thorough. The initial diagnosis was exhaustive and took about 1.5 hours, and confirmed that the compressor had failed. Ten days later, the new compressor was installed and functioning again. (The repair took about the same amount of time as the diagnosis.) Prior to the compressor failure, the unit had not been cooling very well since about its second year; we had had the original installer out many times to look at this problem, but they always insisted everything was fine. After the compressor was replaced, the weak cooling problem persisted, and DuctWorks happily came back to take a look for free. Vince immediately noticed the outside unit was frosting up, and after another couple hours of diagnosis to rule out any other problems, determined that the cap tube was partially clogged and needed to be replaced. He also said this was probably why the compressor failed after only 5 years. One week later, Vince was back out to replace cap tube, and the unit now works the way it is supposed to! (I feel like such an idiot for listening to the original installers when something was clearly not right.) DuctWorks handled the entire process of dealing with the warranty on the parts; all I had to do was provide them with a copy of the original invoice and they handled everything else. They were also prompt about returning phone calls, and everyone I spoke to was happy to answer any questions I had. The initial diagnosis was a trip charge of $89, which was the lowest of the companies I called. The compressor replacement was done at a flat rate of $800, which seemed a bit expensive since other companies quoted me labor costs of closer to $500-600, but with the part handled under warranty it still ended up costing less. The second diagnosis was done for free and the cap tube replacement was billed hourly for labor cost only, which was extremely reasonable. I would absolutely recommend DuctWorks for anyone that needs work done on their air conditioner. They are top notch, and seem to really care about making sure that everything is done right.

Rhod, the salesman they sent out, was up until recently one of their installers so he was extremely knowledgeable. He spent 3 hours on a Friday with me which sounds like a lot but didn't feel like it. He did a heat loss inventory and explained the extra steps Ductwork takes to ensure a top quality installation and longevity of the system. It turns out that Minnegasco had bid too small of an A/C for our house. Monday the team arrived, including the owner of the company. They spent the day installing a top notch system. They had envelopes and paperwork filled out for rebates ($1500 in all) so all I had to do was sign them. In fact, he took $300 off the top for being an Angie's List member! They were professional and courteous from start to finish. I'd recommend them to anyone.
