DuctWorks was very accommodating in setting up a time to do this when my son was available. Since I purchased this service online from Iowa and my son did all the dealings with DuctWorks, I did not feel very compelled to write a review. However, Angie would not give up asking for one, so here it is. By the way DuctWorks found the furnace to be in good condition. Must have been true, since it has worked well for the next two seasons.
Description of Work: DuctWorks Heating and Air Conditioning performed a furnace check-up. This was an Angie's List Big Deal.

They provided us with good direction on how to use it/set it when to change filter, etc. We are now 'shock-free' in our house and have noticed a positive improvement in our house during the winter months. Would recommend this service and company to our friends/family.

+ -1 moreThey were prompt and professional, start to finish. They tuned the furnace and AC, and also discovered a nest of Moles in the condenser unit out of doors. Removed the debris and calked the wiring for me. Only a week later, I had issues with the furnace, and although it was totally unrelated, since they had just been out, they didn't charge me a trip charge, even though it was on a Sunday. DuctWorks communication was impeccable, they returned phone calls promptly, kept me informed when we needed to shuffle the time of their arrival. The office followed up with me a few days later to see how all was working.
Description of Work: I purchased tune ups for both the AC and the Furnace.

+ -1 moreThe service tech came and did a thorough job of cleaning and checking all parts of my furnace and A/C. He helped me locate the appropriate dampers to close off heat to second-story rooms that are now unused. He discovered the ignitor was not firing at an acceptable level, and offered to replace it on the spot (for an extra fee, of course). He was complete with all the work in less than 90 minutes. I purchased a monthly maintenance plan that will provide 2 x year tuneups and lower trip fees if I need additional service. I was very pleased with the work.

+ -1 moreIt went great! Although there appears to be a freon leak, due to several factors, it was decided that the freon would be replenished and we'd wait and see. The air conditioner made it through the summer and fall. Hopefully, it will go for another year or two. Clearly, at 20+ years old, it will need to be replaced in the not-too-distant future. When a replacement is needed, the folks from DuctWorks will definitely be asked to participate.

He arrived on time, explained what he was going to do, how long it would take, and asked if I had questions before he started. He then promptly got to work. He was polite, professional and knowledgable about his product. He completed the job in the time he said it would take and cleaned up after himself. He demonstrated how to operate and maintain the humidifier and gave me contact information for questions or problems. It is too soon to know if I like the product, but I am very pleased with the work that was done and will recommend the company to others. .

Primary reason seem to be that ductwork offered me a more intensive furnace system then I probably needed for my small house 978 ft. The salesperson and the office people and the Technicians were all very present pleasant and very professional.
Description of Work: Ductworks came out to tune up my furnace and AC has a special fall offer The technician was very informative but also told me that my exchanger was cracked And I needed a new furnace. I then had their sales person come out and we reviewed what I might need for my home.

He performed a detailed inspection and cleaned within and around the furnace, even brought his own furnace filter to replace. He checked my dryer vent as well, and cleared out the outside vent to ensure good airflow. I even noticed that he vacuumed the top of my water heater and other areas where dust had accumulated.
