Everything went great, they were very professional and tidy.

Called for an estimate. Was told that the owner, Scott, was on the phone and would call be back shortly -- which he never did. When I called again two days later, the conversation was underwhelming -- no apology, attitude, asked for my address, and then said "I can just have a guy just come out and do it without an estimate. We have a $500 minimum." They may be great for larger jobs, but certainly didn't seem to care about this type of work.

It was a routine check and went well

Before going with any company, I got several estimates for the job. Rhod was the representative sent from Ductworks to inspect my home and give me an estimate for the job. I found him to be trustworthy and did not once feel that he was trying to upsell me anything I did not need. During the inspection it appeared as if my chimney liner had either collapsed into the chimney or was not installed. Installation for this item was about $275 but Rhod mentioned that they would remove this cost if they found that the liner had simply collapsed (thus wasn't visible) and did not need to be installed. I want to reiterate that Rhod never tried to upsell me, in fact he explained that there were several options for the furnace and A/C but suggested that I could go with the cheaper model and get the same results. After getting the estimates I went with Ductworks because they had the best price. were the most respectful and, I felt, trustworthy. Again, I never felt pressured to make a quick decision or to buy more expensive units. The furnace model I bought was a Bryant 57,000 BTU model 925TA42060 (96% efficiency) and the A/C was a Payne model PA13NA018 (13 seer). Two technicians from Ductworks (Josh H and Brian L) were sent to do the work. They arrived on time early in the morning (don't recall exact time but between 8/9 am) and were very friendly from the get-go. The installation first involved removing an old Lennox furnace from the basement which is where they started. I stayed home that day just in case they needed anything. I stayed mostly upstairs while they did the work, but occasionally went down to see how they were doing. Each time, they were very friendly and did not seem to mind me asking what they were doing or checking stuff out. They also explained what they were doing and why. During the day, they discovered that the chimney liner was in fact installed but had simply collapsed so I was not charged $275 for that. I mention this because, honestly, I didn't know any better and they could have not told me that they found it there and charged me extra. I am a bit cynical and thus was very pleased with their honesty. The work was completed by about 2pm that day. An electrician also installed a new programmable thermostat and moved it to a different side of the wall which, I believe, didn't cost extra. While the techs were still here I found that one of the ducts that was already present in the house was not fit properly and was blowing hot air into the bascement. Even though this had nothing to do with what Ductworks was paid to do, Josh and Brian fixed it for me. They were quite clean and did not leave any mess to speak of. All of the old furnace and A/C parts were picked up by a scrap company while Ductworks was still here and there was again no mess. Because the A/C was high efficiency and the thermostat programmable, we were eligible for rebates from Xcel and Centerpoint amounting to ~$1000 (Total cost before rebates was ~$7600). Before they left, Josh and Brian provided me with all of the paperwork for these rebates in a stamped and addressed envelope. All I had to do was fill out some basic information and put them in the mailbox. All of the rebates came through without a problem within about a month. After the installation, Ductworks sent me a signed thank-you card in the mail, which was cool. Since the installation in July, I have used both the A/C and furnace and both are working perfectly. The inspection was completed within about a week after the installation and everything was good. I recall that the Minneapolis city inspector distinctly stated that "Ductworks always does a good job" while he was here. Overall I am very happy with the work and would definitely give Ductworks my business again. Thanks for doing a great job.

They do an excellent job, I have used them for several years

He looked at the furnace and gave me an approximation of what he thought it was and how many years he thought were left in it and then he gave me all kinds of great advice of how best to maintain it. He even had crazy advice like it is best not to have kitty litter around it. He was hands on and was not selling me anything. He was wonderful. He made a couple of adjustments. He was very down to earth.

The service tech was on time, polite, thorough and very professional. No mess was left behind.

Reasonable pricing, compared to what I received from other competitors. I found them to be very honest and upfront about what to expect in terms of the work to be performed, energy rebates I would be eligible for, and their pricing. The sales-person and the technicians were knowledgable and professional. They seem to be a small firm and that posed a problem for them: on the original installation date, their technicians were out sick and they could not make it to the installation. This is the only reason I gave them a 'B' for punctuality. It's a good thing my 34-year old furnace although struggling, was still working, or else it could have been a problem, since this was early January and the polar vortex was driving temps. to -20 degrees. But, they called and apologized and rescheduled right way, even working on a Saturday, so that I didn't have to take time off from work again. They seem to take customer satisfaction seriously and were mostly very prompt about returning my phone-calls and e-mails and getting the work completed as they had promised. I would hire them again.

Called them on a Saturday after waking up to a cold house and finding that my furnace had stopped working sometime during the night. They were the 3rd or 4th company I called, and the first that was able to come out the same day and fix the furnace right away. The same day availability on a Saturday was what got them hired. The guy arrived exactly when he said he would, he was friendly and professional. Of course the furnace started working again the minute I tried to show him what was wrong with it (isn't that always the way?! lol). But he did some testing and checking to figure out why it had stopped the first time, and determined that it was a sensor that was starting to go. So he fixed that as well as replaced the batteries in the thermostat. So we should be good for the next cold snap now. I also asked if he'd mind taking a look at the copper gas line to my dryer as long as he was here, and he was happy to do it. He ended up replacing that for me as well. The charge for the service call was a bit more than other companies I had called, but it WAS a Saturday, and it WAS short notice, so that was to be expected. It was worth it to me to pay a bit more and get the heat going again right away. Also I didn't want to have to miss work during the week to stay home and wait for a furnace repair. All in all, this was a good experience and I would definitely use them again. He did thorough work, he got it done quickly, and he came out the same day I called. No complaints whatsoever. We called, set up the appointment and they came when they said they were going to come. Perhaps the bill was a bit steep, but technician suggested how to prevent the ac unit from becoming a mouse hotel again in the future. Great work, punctual and respectful.

Things went good. Actually, it was my daughter who contacted them. She runs a town house for me. When things break, I look in Angie’s List who can come and fix it. I pick them out and tell my daughter to just call them and they will come and fix it. I trust them. They are reliably good. The price is very fair. I do not feel like they are gouging me.

They did not service my area. While their customer service was fine, they should have mentioned in their ad that they service a limited area.

I apologize to DuctWorks Heating & Air Conditioning, LLC for putting this out. I imagine there services are top notch. Like I said, filling this out will hopefully get Angie's list to stop hassling me about rating a service I didn't get.

A guy came and out and said a part needed replacing. He found a squirrels' nest in it and cleaned it out and put the part in. It was running but 5 minutes it stopped. A another guy came out and put in the correct part.

They were prompt, professional, and on time. They were very personable and responsive to the fact that there were pets in the house. They explained the process before starting and answered any questions.

I have a gravity furnace in a rental property and wanted a quote for replacing the gravity furnace. I contacted Ductworks to come out for a quote. Initially they were very fast and responsive and were great to work with. During the review we saw that the gravity furnace wouldn't turn on. The person I was working with called one his service people who was able to come out and replace the thermal coupling. During this process the service person suggested repairing the chimney liner because it was in bad shape. I agreed and the work was done quickly and promptly. I, being no wiser, thought they did a good job. Fast forward 10 months when I needed to have my furnace inspected to receive my rental license. I contacted Ductworks several times via their website and with calls. No response. So I contacted a competitor to conduct the inspection. The service person from the competitor said that he was unable to give me a pass on the furnace inspection because some the duct, which runs from the furnace to the chimney had pinholes. Whoever worked on replacing the duct decided to replace only some of it. A brand new piece of duct emerges from the chimney where it meets the old, unreplaced, pinholed duct and then a new piece of duct is connected to the old piece to the furnace. New, old, new. The competitor could only speculate why a portion of the duct work wouldn't be replaced when pinholes were clearly visible. So now the competitor is replacing that one piece of duct. TL;DR: I'm having a competitor complete an earlier duct work job so that I can pass inspection and receive the rental license for the property. I wish Ductworks would have returned one of my calls or emails.

The service went well. They did exactly what the deal stated at no extra cost. One technician came out for the job. He was very helpful and gave me a lot of information on how to work the machine. He was a very thorough worker and did a nice job. I had no problem contacting the company or scheduling the service.

The furnace, AC, and water-heater were all original to the house I recently bought. I needed to decide if they were worth repairing or if I should replace. Their diagnostic helped me do exactly that - and we were told the best option would be to replace. It wasn't cheap to do, but it has already made a big difference.

We had a very positive experience with this company from our first contact to set up estimate all the way through the installation. The customer serivce rep that set up the appointment was professional, courteous and very helpful. The sales rep, Rhod, was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. We have a split level home that was built in the 1970's with electric baseboard heat and no duct work. We wanted an air conditioning option other than window air conditioners. Rhod came out to the house and went over the options with us. He recommended a two unit Mitsubishi mini split air conditioning system. He took the time to explain the system to us, worked with us to determine best locations for the units, evaluated outside options for the condenser untit. Rhod presented us with the estimate for the matierals and labor. This was the third estimate we had received for this type of system. Ductworks came in with the most reasonable recommendation for units (one other company had recommended smaller units for same price and yet another had recommended much larger units at a much higher price). We felt confident that Ductworks was recommending the right install for our home -- not too large and not too small. It was obvious to us that the estimator knew what he was talking about and took great pride in the company and the work they do. We agreed to the job the next day and the install team showed up the next week. Again, a positive experience, he install team was prompt, efficient, professional and did a great job. We are now enjoying our mini split air system and are very pleased with the new air conditioning -- just in time for the heat wave this week.

My experience was fine. There was one technician here doing the work. Scheduling an appointment was good.

First, they were obligated to contact me within 2 days. The arguably didn't complete it in 2 days, maybe 2.5. However - they scheduled for one of the open times I needed, so accepted as good. Side note: I had a non-angies list person do previous work and basically rip me off. Brad showed up on time, did a great job checking the system. He found something the other person didn't in 2 trips and fixed it (just opening valves). He cleaned the system and did an analysis. He identified other simple setting changes that needed to be made and even labeled my duct valves clearly for me and explained quickly and well so I can do it in the future. Overall VERY helpful and VERY kind. I need a service company I can trust if I'm not home to help my wife - and these guys are it now.

I contacted DuctWorks to tune up furnace and provide an estimate for a new one. DuctWorks tuned the furnace (which I believe is 20 years old) and provided me with an estimate when I am ready to purchase. I thought the estimate was extremely fair (I had quotes from at least two other companies). Also, DuctWorks did not pressure me into purchasing a new furnace. I was very impressed with the attitude and advice. I will definitely call DuctWorks when I am ready to purchase. Impressed with attitude and advice of serviceman from DuctWorks. He spent time explaining how the furnace worked, potential problems and what to look for. Very prompt response. Very punctual. No sales pressure. Excellent advise.
