Description of Work: I gave the contractor a week but they never returned my call. Doesn't leave a good impression.

Description of Work: They remodeled a bathroom for us. We ran into several issues regarding the remodel, specifically with their sub-contractors. The end result turned out quite nice, and we feel as though this added to our homes overall value.

Description of Work: I bought a deal $149 for custom kitchen, bath or basement design! It was fine. They drew up a basement plan for us.

Description of Work: They gave me a quote for remodeling my kitchen. The design they came up with was creative. I felt they were high in cost and weren't really interested in my business - the sales person seemed rushed.

Description of Work: We contacted Ohana to get klitchen drawings and a bid on some remodeling work we were considering. Although Sean was very nice and the drawings were just OK, we were rather taken aback that we were quoted a price on the remodel of almost twice what we told him we had the budget for. We'll be looking for another contractor that can show us what we can have for the amount of money we can spend rather showing us designs we can't afford. Disappointing.

Description of Work: The entire experience with Ohana Construction was outstanding! Ryan, Maggie and Shawn helped navigate us through our entire re-model process and the sub-contractors they used on our project were great! We did a complete kitchen re-mode and a small master bathroom re-model. Both rooms were gutted and brought back to life. Everyone was very good at listening to our ideas and helping to translate them into good re-model designs that were followed by great craftmanship to complete them. The project was done on time, with the added benefit of getting a weekly wok plan schedule every Sunday night. All cost variances were due to our requests and agreed to ahead of time. In the kitchen we ended up using cherry cabinets, Cambria counters, stone backsplash, and oak floors. We couldn't be happier with the final result! We have had several compliments from family and friends who say, "Wow, this really reflects you guys...". In other words, everything really came together for the final result. But the best part of the whole experience was to meet and share our remodeling experience with Ryan, Maggie and Shawn. We were extremely pleased to work with great people who care about their customers and their work. We highly recommend them if you are thinking about a kitchen or bath re-model!!!

Description of Work: Ryan came out and gave us an estimate on behalf of Ohana Construction to take out an old deck and construct a new one. Many of the planks that were visible on the surface were rotting. We were definitely way overdue for a replacement. However, when they began to remove the old one, they determined that the foundation and footings were still in good shape and there was no need to replace them. Ryan let me know and reduced the price appropriately. The job was done beautifully. It was done promptly. Everything was cleaned up and the old deck was removed. Besides ending up with a GREAT finished product, I paid less than I had anticipated paying because this is an HONEST company. Because we were so pleased with their work, we also had them replace a garage door that leaked around the bottom and was causing the garage to get wet after a storm. Again, we were very happy with the end product. I have already scheduled Ryan to come and give me an estimate on some bathroom upgrade that we want done. Now that we have found such a good and honest company, we will just keep moving through the house until we get everything done.

Description of Work: Ohana Construction/Ryan's Repairs & Remodeling Inc gave me an estimate for a bathroom remodel. This would include re-plumbing, doing the tub and surrounding areas.

Description of Work: Corrected deck railing so that I could pass city inspection. (The contractor I used to build the deck couldn't figure out how to get the railing to the correct height and finally just quit returning my phone calls.) Power washed and stained deck.

Description of Work: Deck stripping and re-staining. Ryan and company power-washed the deck and allowed it to dry. They then put 2 coats of Cabot stain on over a 2 day period. It looks great.

Description of Work: In our bathroom Ryan layed a cement underlayment and then set ceramic tile on the floor.

Description of Work: Ryan's Repairs and Remodeling installed slate tile on our kitchen backsplash.

Description of Work: Ryan repaired some joists on my deck.

Description of Work: Ryan did a ton of repairs around our house to get it in condition to sell. He stabilized our deck by adding another footing, replaced boards, powerwashed the deck, stained the deck, replaced boards on the exterior of the house, painted the exterior boards, taped puddied and sanded interior walls, spot painted interior walls - I'm sure there are things that I'm missing - and it came to $800, about half what we were expecting to pay, given he was at our house several times a week for several weeks in a row.

Description of Work: Ryan installed 330 sq. ft. of ceramic tile in our kitchen and laundry room of a house we were selling. He laid the tile, grouted, cleaned up, and got the job done in just a couple of days. We also hired him for a number of handyman jobs around our house - taping, painting, deck repairs - and he did great work, efficiently, for a great price. Our house sold in 10 days in this lousy market!

Description of Work: Remove existing floor and subflooring, prepped and installed slate tile.
