They did good work. They came out when I was not home. They left the receipt in the door which had my credit card information on it. They informed me this was not their policy and apologized. I was happy with the work.

Jon arrived on time, was very professional, and performed the work as he had said he would.

It went wonderfully. Jon showed up on time, thoroughly explained what he was going to do and even did a little extra by plugging up some holes in our foundation in which mice were entering the house. Jon was very honest and didn't try to force me into a year 'round plan -- but did mention one was available if I was interested. Best of all, the carpenter ants are gone, gone, gone!

We were very impressed by Jon's knowledge and honesty. He told us about carpenter ants, provided us with written information, and described several options to deal with them. Since it does not appear to be a major problem now, we decided not to do anything about it. However, we will certainly call him in the future if we notice any more pests.

I found carpenter ants in my kitchen that were just huge on Thursday. I called Jon Thursday afternoon and he came out on Friday morning, after providing me with some reassuring information in the mean-time. Jon was perfectly prompt, and after providing me with information about these monsters, outlined his action plan and got to work. He sprayed the foundation (inside and out) and baited. He will be back in about thirty days (he will call me, how great is THAT?) and after that visit Jon guarantees no more ants for at least a year. Seriously superior service. This company should be supported.

I called Midwest Pest early on a Monday morning regarding the nest. Jon was very friendly and helpful. He said he would be able to take care of the nest the same day and he would be able to do it without anyone having to be home. Jon called back by early afternoon and said the nest had been treated. The cost of $110.76 was after an Angie's List member discount of $25. Jon left a receipt and additional company information at our home. Midwest Pest was the second company I had called that morning. The first guy, who was not as friendly as Jon, quoted a price of $185 and said he might be able to take care of the nest on Wednesday. In the future, my first call will be to Midwest Pest.

I talked to Larry who gave me an estimate over the phone and explained thoroughly what work would be completed. The appointment was made within a couple of days and Larry arrived on time and completed the work in a timely fashion. He took a lot of time to answer questions. He offered information on the company's pest control programs, but did not pressure me to purchase one.

Jon was prompt in returning my call. He was eager to schedule and came out to our condo building. He worked with one of the other owners who told me he was friendly, efficient and explained what he was doing.

Jon arrived when planned. He was very professional and informative. He listened to our concerns and started treatment immediately. He did a very good job overall. I will continue to use him in the future.

I was not so pleasantly surprised to see a mouse in my kitchen on Mother's Day, and immediately decided to find an exterminator. Jon called me back within 24 hours (this was not an emergency so I didn't require immediate response) and we made an appointment for the next couple of days. Jon was absolutely very knowledgeable about pests and in addition to mice I had already decided to have him take care of general house/basement bugs. So he plugged some holes and sprayed for bugs and also lightly treated for carpenter ants. I tried wooden snap traps which didn't catch any mice so I opted to try the plastic kind and I did catch a mouse in about an hour after placing those out. It has been a week with the new traps, and 2 since Jon was here, and I haven't seen any further evidence. I was very happy with the service I received. Jon also gave me some glue traps which I put out, but they have not caught any other mice.

They came out when they said they would, and did what they said they would do. They said that if I still had a problem they would come back out and get rid of them again.

Very well! Jon arrived on time, he explained all tasks he would perform; he explained what he looked for, what attracts rodents (my bird feeders!). He was finished within an hour, he found 2-3 possible holes and sealed them. He set baits in the basement area and left several traps if I wanted to set them.

Jon was extremely friendly and helpful. I had been seeing evidence of mice recently and had trapped a few. Jon came and looked everywhere inside and outside my condo to see where they may be coming in. He sealed up a couple of spots. Because I live in a condo, I share walls with my neighbors. John's diagnosis was that the mice were most likely coming in from my neighbor's condo and because of the structure of the units, there wasn't really any way to seal the wall. However, he suggested a way to eliminate their food source by moving my cat's food dish. Because Jon couldn't actually seal up the wall, he did not feel he could charge me for his visit. I would have been happy to pay him as he gave helpful advice and did everything he could. I have seen no further evidence of mice nor have I trapped any since his visit and suggestions. Overall, Jon was a great guy and I would highly recommend his services!!

He explained everything in detail, what kind they were and what he was going to do to get rid of them. Reasonably priced and would recommend to anyone.

Jon was very congenial over the phone. He got here when he told me that he would. He explained his program. He is quite articulate and businesslike in his manner, but also has a sense of humor. I don't see in little critters running around, yet.

Rep was on time, professional, confident, friendly and seemed to know exactly what action needed to be performed.

Based on the Jon's rave reviews we called him to take care of a mice problem. He lives up to his A rating. Prompt, thorough explanation on what he was going to do and what we could expect. Jon left several traps for us and explained how to set them. We caught a mouse within 24 hours and are confident that he has plugged the correct hole that the mice were using and that soon we will have a mice free house. I appreciate that he was able to do an early call, 7:30 am so I didn't have to miss much of work. Jon is great!

We had been hearing noises in the walls and our cat found mice in our home a few times over the past year. Jon came in and was absolutely delightful, after a long phone conversation that he disclosed exactly what he would do, did exactly what he said he would do. He found 4 holes where the mice were coming in, he sealed them, put down bait traps and told us that we needed to better store our dog and cat food and to move their food so that the mice no longer had a food source.

They are very thorough. We were having problems with centipedes and found mice droppings. He explained a lot of information and didn't pressure us to buy monthly treatments. He said that the mice were not pervasive. Also, it would take a week for the spray to take effect. We have a pet, and he assured us that the spray would not bother the pet.

Jon was very nice and prompt. He knows his bugs. After initial treatment and follow up, I have not seen another carpenter ant in my house. We have a lot of fish, and Jon was considerate of our safety concerns. He made his follow up treatment without a confirmation from us, as we were out of town. While this is good, in a way, it was mildly frustrating, as I had wanted to talk with him before his return visit. All in all, I would use his services again if needed.

A lot of good things have already been said about Jon Hagel and his company. I DISagree that his pricing is too high. I AGREE with just about everything else positive that's been said. The only thing I can reiterate - the thing that always means the most to me - is that everything Jon said happened EXACTLY the way he said it would. He really knows what he's doing; he doesn't try to sell something you don't need; he gives you realistic expectations so you can feel positive about the outcome; and his outcome was outstanding. The ants are GONE!

Jon is very personable, and fully explained what he would do and what we could expect it would accomplish. Is very knowledgeable about insect behavior. So far we have seen no ladybugs or box elder bugs inside, and the wasp activity seems to have completely stopped.

John responded to my inquiries quickly, and the service was performed promptly.

Jon was a pleasure to talk to. He was very professional on the phone and genuinely cared about what was happening in our rental home. He showed up timely at our rental home (per the tenants) and quickly, yet thoroughly sprayed for the roaches. He called after servicing our rental home and explained exactly what he did. He then called a month later (like he said he would) for a secondary spray for the roaches. Again he called to let me know how everything went and gave me an update on the situation. I found Jon to be very through with information necessary for me. I would highly recommend Jon and Midwest Pest, I don't think you'd be disappointed.

I like that I did not have to sign a contract. He was very responsive. His initial cost was in the middle of the other two estimates but his ongoing cost was lower. He did a great job of taking me around the house and giving ideas on how to control the moisture, which is the source of the bugs.
