Midwest Pest

I noticed an ant problem in our basement and a few ants upstairs. I called Midwest Pest based on their Angie's List ratings and a man from Midwest Pest came out that afternoon. (I'm sorry I don't remember his name.) He explained what kind of materials he was using, that is was not toxic to people or pets, explained the charges and the warranty. He was professional, courteous and efficient.

The workers at Midwest Pest did a great job. They did a good job at explaining what I should expect. They answered all of my questions and they were super nice.

My tenant is happy, so I am happy! Jon came out within a week, explained the process to the tenant and answered her questions. When a landlord is living 1000 miles away, it is such a relief to have a service provider that is punctual and treats your tenants with respect. Even though I have never met Jon, his professionalism reflected well on me as a landlord.

Jon (the owner) returned to check for places that mice might enter our home. We had used his services a few years ago for mice and carpenter ants. We have an older home that had a lot of possible entry points for mice. The first time we worked with Jon it took 3 visits to locate all of the entry points, and Jon only charged us for the first visit. We had a minor recurrence of the problem this spring, and he very thoroughly rechecked the house and found the point where a mouse had eaten through one of the places that he had sealed the house previously. He reinforced the seal with metal and placed a few bait traps. He is extremely responsive (always returns a call within a few minutes), is very pleasant and clear in his explanations of procedures, reasonably priced and effective. We will continue to use his services whenever we have a problem with pests and recommend him very highly

It was a great experience. Jon/Midwest Pest is professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and thorough. It was a quick, clean experience and he set my expectations by explaining what would happen in the next 3 weeks. I also told him about a mouse problem I had had this winter and he did a quick check for holes and foamed them.

I called and he solved the problem, and was here for less than two hours. His prices were very reasonable, and I was very happy with him.

They came out the day after I first saw a mouse in the house. They would have come out the same day, but I couldn't be home when they were available. They were very polite and knowledgeable. They guarantee their work.

During his first visit, John talked about what types of bugs I should expect to see in my yard, what might come into the house and talked about what type of service I might need. I elected to just have a one time treatment. A month later there was evidence of mice and he was over within a few days. He located the hole, talked about other issues that may be created by my deck and placed bait in the garage. We were mouse free for a month and then we saw evidence of another one. He was back out in a few days, found a new hole and sealed it. We have been mouse free for months, I even put out some Chex when we left on vacation to see if any mice were left and the cereal was still there when we returned. John and his partner are great to work with!

Jon is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He began by listening to the experiences I had, then examined the inside of the house. He then went outside and found the places mice were getting in. I was very impressed--I'd looked myself several times and missed them. He plugged the holes, then explained to me what to expect. An excellent experience.

They were very good. They were on time and they did a good job. Its been really good service. The mice are gone and I would recommend them to anyone. They were just really good.

Great. We had a nest that was getting worse, but the urgency to get it removed came when our contractors set a date to start work on our exterior repair from a hail storm. The date was sooner than we expected, so we were anxious to get the wasp nest removed. To our surprise, Midwest came out that very same day and removed the nest. We were told exactly how long the nest would take to clear, and signs to watch out for later. Everything went well and the contractors were able to start on time.

He was very informative before he came out so I knew what to expect. When he got out here, he did what he had promised. He told us if it wasn't better in 30 weeks he would come back out & he is coming back out to help us out.

They were very professional, and they seemed to really know what they were doing. I was satisfied with the work that they did. They were here on time and were helpful. They gave me a lot of verbal advice about our situation.

Jon was extremely helpful and responsive. He reworked a quote for me on the spot and was extremely flexible in scheduling. We ended up not using him because we found out we needed to replace some soffit and fascia as opposed to plugging the holes. Otherwise, I would consider him in the future.

Came to do the baiting the same day that I called to order the service. I had gotten an estimate from another company who came out to do a free consultation and estimate, but talking to Midwest Pest on the phone, their estimate was lower, so I went with them. They offered a 30 day mole free guarantee - so far no moles...

Jon arrived within hours of our call, dusted the nests, and left us detailed information about the pests and what we could expect. Within three days all the yellowjackets were gone.

We had mice problems during each of the last 2 Falls and then again this Summer, so we decided it was time to try to take care of the problem for good rather than just continuing to trap. Jon was great. We got an appointment just a couple days after my call, he arrived right on time, and was very thorough, really seeming to take his time inspecting everything. He found the likely entry points and sealed them up. Then, he left bait stations in spots in the basement and garage. He explained things very clearly. I felt the price was very good for what was done and seemed less expensive by a good deal than some of the other companies. He will come out again for free if I do have any mice anytime in the next 6 months, but he feels sure that he found where they were coming in and I feel confident my problems with them are likely over.

They are very responsive. They do an excellent job. The people that they sent out were friendly and informative.

Over the past 2 years we had caught 15-20 mice (several in just the past few weeks before Jon came), and with a newborn in the house now, we decided to go the next step and try a more (hopefully) permanent solution. Jon arrived just days after our initial call and inspected interior/exterior and found several potential entry points, filled them, and then placed poison traps that are inaccessible to children. Jon was very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. The best news - 2 months and not a single mouse since!!

They took care of the problem without incident.

It went well. They responded promptly. They told me that it is not advisable to seal up the crack until October, as there may still be larvae on the inside. They also said it takes a few days to see the results. After a few weeks, I have not noticed them flying around anymore.
