Went very well. Very prompt and efficient.

Because of the snow he couldn't see anything on the outside of the house and in the inside of the house he couldn't see any evidence. I contacted him a few days later and he came right out and inspected the house and gave us a few traps and we haven't seen anything since. He was very responsive and fair.

I called Jon after I heard something (!) chewing under my floor boards from an unfinished basement. Jon came out promptly and located some mouse poop - phew - since I live relatively near the Mississippi, I was concerned it was rats. On pretty much the coldest day of the year, Jon walked outside the perimeter of the house and located and sealed the mouse entry point. He then put down pet-safe mice bait in likely spots. He couldn't have been more knowledgeable or comforting: I'm in a 1940's house and I was concerned there would be a rodent invasion. Nope, not on Jon's watch. He also guarantees his mouse-proofing for 6 months. Crisis averted. Further investigated the roof vents to ensure nothing was coming in from above. I really recommend this fella and used this service once before to deal with carpenter ants.

Jon came the day after I called, was polite and prompt, spent a lot of time inspecting my foundation, is sure he found how the mice were getting in and fixed the problem. He was thorough, priced right (especially if it turns out that he's solved the problem), and he guarantees his work and will return if I find any more critters.

I believe that Larry came on the day that I called Midwest Pest. We discussed how often and where I'd been hearing and seeing mice, and for how long, and that they had been stealing dog food and storing it. We walked around the house and he discussed possible points of entry. He showed me something I'd not known about my house: an area under an overhang that is not stuccoed, a possible entry for the mice. He was able to see it by use of a mirror he carries. He used spray foam to seal some entry areas (one area that he mentioned didn't get sealed....I'll probably call him back to bring it to his attention, but I'm not convinced it's a problem. Of course, I'm not the mouse specialist....) He set black boxes containing large poison chunks, two outside and four along the top of my foundation in the basement indoors. He was pleasant, personable, and said that likely, my problem would take 3 - 4 weeks, as they had been collecting dog food for quite some time. He also made the recommendation to close the stucco gap. 24 hours later, and for 6 days following, we heard or saw no evidence of mice, a huge difference. Day 7, we started to see droppings and hear them again. I saw bait pieces dragged out of the black boxes a couple of places, and started to suspect the boxes were empty. I called, talked with John, who assured me there was no way those poison boxes could be empty. He said wait another week. I waited two weeks, just to be sure. Called, got Larry on the phone, who came out that day. To his amazement, the boxes were empty. He refilled them (a quick job) 15 minutes, tops. Since then, one slow sad mouse was captured with an inverted yogurt container. Yesterday, two weeks later, I hear a mouse, I believe. Time to check the boxes! I'm under the 6 month warranty, and happy to be working with this company...it's clearly making a difference. I expect we'll come to a long term solution without additional expense.

Overall the experience was great. Jon was very professional and provided detail explanations of the service and what to expect. It was painless. I fully expect to see results within three weeks. He also explained what his company does not do and provided references for those jobs.

The job went wonderfully. Before even getting the job I was given all of options including free options! I also offered up an opportunity to be up-selled and I was turned down! I can't imagine a more honest contractor. After performing the work the bee problem I had was completely taken care of. I hope to use them again and I would recommend them to anyone!

I called around 8:15 am on a Monday morning in mid October. Jon answered with a cheery voice. I explained my concern about a possible ant problem. Jon explained that the birds love older homes with cedar shingles because they think the hollow sound means there are ants inside (even if there aren't any). He also said that, even if there are ants, it wouldn't do any good to treat for them now because they're dormant. He suggested that I call back in May if I actually see signs of ants. He was very friendly and willing to share his knowledge--and willing to save me money! I will definitely call Midwest again if the need is there.

I spotted a wasp nest about the size of a soft ball on the eave of my house. I called Midwest Pest that morning and Jon came out that afternoon. The nest was on the eave of my house in the front so Jon had easy access. It took him about 15 minutes to remove it and then he was gone - no wasps returned to the site. Jon was very professional and polite and answered all my questions. I will hire Midwest Pest again for any pest control needs - not just wasps.

The guy who came out did a good job. They made sure that the house is odor free. They kept some traps inside the house and found some areas through which the mice were getting in. They had come a few years back and did a really good job then. Since we had some construction, there were possible openings in the house which they were able to find. We liked their responsiveness and they also helped us with the mice problem that we had.

Rats, unlike mice, are cautious, careful little beasts so are much more difficult to remove. Jon had to come to the house a couple times to put down traps: once to place unset baited traps to train the creature that traps were safe, then to set traps and place poison here and there. We eventually got the not-so-little guy. Jon would have come back for disposal had we been squeamish but we were OK taking care of it.

Good. The mice started eating the poinon and started to dwindel. When we noticed a new opening outside and still mice after 2 weeks, he came back and sealed that opening as well and checked the bait

Ground bees/wasps were nesting under the threshold of our back door to our patio and attacking anyone who came near. With a garden party coming up in a few days we needed effective help fast. Nothing I threw at the problem worked (including internet remedies). Since it was an outdoor problem, Midwest Pest was able to treat the nest while I was at work. I do not know how the cost compares with other companies, but the results were: no bees since( even after six weeks.)

They sprayed for ants inside as well as outside our house. The guy who came out to get the work done was very professional and courteous. We were very comfortable with the job that he did. We had used their services once before.

Contacted Midwest based on Angies list...he was prompt in returning my call and we set up service . He arrived and evaluated the situation and made recommendations and set bait etc. He did not put a hard sell on packages etc. (as many pest control people do) but was more interested in taking care of the situation. I was particularily impressed with his checking not only this spot but all entry points in the house (many other companies would only look at this area for similar fee). He was polite and very professional and while I cannot guarantee we will not see another one I feel that Jon did all possible to make the situation better and I feel he would follow up quickly if we had further problems.

I was very pleased with the service and would use the company again in the future.

Very well. Jon explained the situation, where the hornets got in and what the process would be over the next few days as the nest died off. I was also advised how to prevent the problem from happening next year.

My husband noticed a lot of spiders in the yard and was afraid they would come inside this fall. I called three A-rated exterminators for estimates, and they were all about the same price. I chose Midwest Pest because they were the closest. I was able to get an appointment right away, and he came early in the morning so I wouldn't be too late to work. He took off his shoes in my home (he put on some kind of rubber booties), was pleasant, and explained that it was common to see spiders in the fall and ants in the spring. I can't say yet if the service worked, but they were certainly punctual and professional.

We had a great experience with Jon at Midwest Pest. I had initially called for him to come and treat our house for carpenter ants in the Fall and he informed me that they were already dormant for the winter and it would be a waste to treat until the Spring. When I called back in the spring, Jon came out and explained the necessary treatments to eliminate the carpenter ants. We went ahead with the two-part treatment and have not seen any ants in the house all summer. Jon was great to work with - very prompt and professional.

Professional, punctual and friendly. Gave reasonable advice and treated me like an intelligent human being which I always appreciate. Seemed to have much better knowledge about why and how the mice were entering and why they might be returning than a previous exterminator a year or two ago. Immediately spotted sites of entry and nests. Guaranteed no mice for at least 6 months. We haven't seen one since.

Their service is outstanding! Very professional. The owner of the Company came out and treated my home inside and out. We decide to go with a quarterly plan. The price was very reasonable.

The company came out right on time, the day after I called. Jon explained what he would do and what to expect. He was friendly and knowledgeable. The treatment was successful and the price was fair.

I searched Angie's list to find an exterminator who rated highly in most if not all categories. Many customers were competely satisfied with Midwest because of the small size of the company, the personal touch and the one time application success...I settled on Midwest Pest Control. They were called, responded immediately and made an appointment for 4/17/2009. I had been seeing about one to two ants a week...maybe two weeks, no big deal but I wanted to get them before they became infested. After the fisrt application, I immediatedy began seeing about five ants a day, after two weeks they had multiplied to ten to fifteen a day. I called him again, he returned on 5/4/2009 to repeat the application. Whatever he was spraying, they were loving it, the numbers began to climb again peaking out at 20 a day. He returned again on 6/9/2009,,,this time he added a second element to the application. To date, 7/2/2009, I have not seen an Ant anywhere in the house. I'm confident that they have been defeated...we'll see.

I was very pleased overall. The service was successful and I believe Midwest Pest is probably a better value that many pest control services available.
