Midwest persy very informative, quick yet thorough....very professional. I has no ants within 48 hours and have not had any since. I would give them my highest recommendation. I will be signing up with them for monitoring service on an annual basis.

I had a wasp's nest by the soffit on the gararge side of the house. I had tried an over the counter spray about a month ago, but it didn't help. Early this week I noticed a lot of wasp activity early in the evening. So I called Midwest the next day and they came out the same day. I appreciate how quickly they came. They took care of the problem. They also left me information on the treatment and informaton about the waiting period, biology, and warranty. These are very pleasant folks to deal with. I definitely would call them again if I had another similar problem. Thanks again, Angie's list.

Their services were a little pricey. The quality of services was good. The guy was knowledgeable and gave good information. We've used them a couple of times.

The owner of this business comes himself and is a professional, he's quick, he's thorough, effective and reasonably priced. I HIGHLY recommend him.

I haven't seen another ant in my house. They called about a month later to verify that I hadn't seen any more ants and are returning again this week to spray outside. I also inquired about having the house treated quarterly for other insects & spiders. I leave for work very early in the AM and they said that they could come at 5:30 AM. Don't find many businesses who will fit their service into your hours. Very impressed with this company

I bought the special through Angie's List for up to 4 treatments in a year for insect control. I had an extremely bad ant problem on (under) my paver patio, as well as those pesky black/orange beetles plastering stuff all over my new siding. I also had lots of spiders in the basement and garage. All treated and all totally under control. Company had a special through Angie's List which I purchased. They were very busy at that time (understandably). They still showed up right on time and took their time explaining everything to me. The price was reasonable but I complain in general because I hate spending money on stuff like this.

We live in the woods, so we have a lot of spiders and ants. After they sprayed the frist time, I saw a lot of scattering of the bugs so I called them to come out a second time. After the second spray, we have not had anymore bugs or us. They company was very responsive and they were flexible around my schedule. The president, John Hagil, sent a follow up letter thanking me for using his services and I very much appreciated that.

I called and he came out the very next day. He was on time. He sprayed inside and out and i've not had a problem since! They gave a 90 day guarantee which really shows me that they stand behind their work. They have a yearly pest control deal where they come out 3 or 4 times a year and its' under 100.00 each time. I'm considering doing this. My only concern is that I had to push him to come into my home to spray. I had been warned by a friend to make sure they come inside and spray in the basement and on the main floor before doing the outside. The guy said that wasn't necessary but I insisted and he did do the interior before the outside. If he'd not done that the bugs would have just come indoors to escape the spray. I've only seen two or three very sickly earwigs indoors since the spray (which the guy said might happen) and nothing since. These things were all over inside my basement and main floor, on my kitchen counters, my curtains, the walls, etc. It was a nightmare. I'm very satisfied with the job that was done and like I said am thinking of using them for yearly pest control.

I called Midwest Pest on the 27th of July in the afternoon. Larry answered my call, was very helpful, and he was able to set an appointment to meet me at my property the next morning. He was friendly and informative, and I will call Midwest Pest again. I rated B on price because I think the service could be provided for $125 or no more than $150. I rated B on quality because the spraying has a 90 day warranty so I cannot say if the spraying worked although I believe it did. Excellent service.

They had to come out twice, since the first time they didn't fix the problem.

For years, we have been trying to get rid of our carpenter ants ourselves with a variety of substances (boric acid, vinegar, pesticides that we purchased)?all without success. At one point, we considered hiring someone to treat our home, but the prices quoted then were not in our budget. This year, we saw a huge increase in the number of ants in and around our house and decided we really had to call in the pros. After reading the reviews of Pest Control companies, I chose Midwest Pest. Not only were the reviews very positive, but I liked the fact that it was a small company (essentially the owner and one other guy). We felt pretty confident that if we had a problem with their service, we'd be able to talk to the owner about it. His prices were about in the middle of the range, and seemed to be pretty consistent among all the ant customers. This also was a good thing, since we didn't want any surprise extra charges. I called Midwest Pest, got the owner, John, and we made an appointment for two days later. He arrived right on time, and was very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and had a good sense of humor. He also reassured me that our house would not fall down as a result of the ants' activity. I agreed to their standard carpenter ant treatment, which involves two applications of pesticide, spaced about a month apart, and a 3 year guarantee that if ants return, so will Midwest Pest for more applications. We haven't had the second application yet (as far as I know), but as of right now we're not seeing any ants. This is a huge relief and we wish we'd contacted Midwest Pest earlier.

It turned out we did have some carpenter ants among some other smaller black ants. Larry arrived on time and explained the whole treatment process for the first visit, future visits, what to watch for in the future, and let him know if we see any more carpenter ants. We have not seen a carpenter, or any other ant, since the first treatment. Larry is a pleasure to deal with and the price was great as well.

I called Midwest Pest to eliminate the box elder bugs that were dominating the exterior of my home. The salesperson I talked to on the phone was very nice and explained the treatments used for box elder bugs. I received an estimate over the phone, which I thought was a bit high, however, he explained that estimates were based on the size of the home. They came over as soon as weather permitted and treated the entire exterior of our house. So far I have only seen a few bugs, so that is great. They have a 90 day guarantee (they'll re-treat if the problem arises again within 90 days), so that is reassuring.

Larry was very prompt, fair in pricing (discounted since we have a small treatment area for our condo). And, definitely less bugs since. Will definitely use Midwest Pest again!

Arrived on time. Was very personable, straight forward and answered all questions/concerns before treating the problems. Worked quickly and quietly and we haven't seen a mouse or carpenter ant since!

They are on Angie’s List. I spent about $250 for their service. They were good since the ants are gone. That’s all I wanted. There is nothing I don’t like about them. The guy who came out was responsive. He did what he said he was going to do. He comes with a year long guarantee as well. He calls you back if you leave a message, which is something not everybody does. So, I really like that. If you have a problem today, then he probably can’t come today, but he can come within a few days. So, that’s good when you have things like ants or mice. You wouldn’t want to wait for three weeks in such a case. I have nothing to compare their price to.

This is the second year I called Jon Hagel to spray the house for spider and bug control. I contacted him last year for the first time because of his A rating on Angie's List. That was also the first year I had tried spraying for spider control. I was very pleased with the results from last summer and decided to do it again. I really hate spiders so when I find a solution that works, I'll stick with it. Jon is very thorough...not only in his work, but in explaining what he does, how the product works, and what to expect afterward. He also asked if I had any other concerns and I mentioned that my brother, who had stored some boxes in my garage attic, thought he saw mouse droppings in some of his boxes. Jon got up in the attic to look, but said he couldn't see any evidence of mice in the attic. He suggested that maybe it was a type of bug that my brother saw, and recommended that only airtight containers be used in the attic. We also discussed chipmunk and vole control, which I may consider doing later in the fall. One note...there is overspray that ends up on the exterior windows, especially the windows that are way up high because it's tough to control the spray in the breeze. I also schedule window cleaning for the same day to take care of that.

He did a good job but the price was pretty high for the services that were provided. He was very professional and polite. I would use the service again if it weren't for the very high price. Service should have cost $150 maximum. No technical aspects, just laying traps.

Jon (owner) called me back on the phone the same day and went over in great length what he would look for, what he would do, and how long it might take to remedy the situation. He arrived on time and looked over the inside and outside and explained to me what type of ants we had (pavement ants) and treated both inside and outside. I was so impressed with his knowledge and professionalism that I decided to retain him for a yearly service, which means he comes back quarterly and you can call him out anytime at no extra charge. They gave me a good overview of their services on the phone. When they came to the house, they handled everything. They did superior work. They plugged holes and did things like that. They could not do the outdoor work because of the winter, but now they are going to come back and do the work.

We found this company through Angies List. They did inspection, set some bait traps and sealed the external potential hole entry ways into the house. The job went very well. They took care of the problem. My wife was there and she was pretty pleased with the service. They took care of the pest problem, which were mice. They were quick to respond. They gave us a quote and were here the following day. Honestly I cannot compare the price.

We got fed up on our annual pest control schedule on them. They took care of all of our mice issues. They sprayed and got rid of annual problem. They even laid traps for the mice.

The first visit was in January 2010 and he guaranteed to get rid of the mice. He did sealing around the house, put out bait and suggested we get some work done to also seal up the holes. We hired a separate contractor to seal up the areas he suggested. The mice did not go away and he came back in February did more sealing and put out more bait. When they sitll did not go away he suggested we wait until spring so he could find the holes outside. he came back two more times and every time sealed more holes and left bait. He finally gave up and we had to hire someone else.
