These guys were absolutely great. We had a sudden and significant mouse problem starting Spring 2014. It took a couple of months to figure out all the entrances and solve the problem but it is done and we have not seen any mice in months.

I left a message asking about getting rid of bedbugs on the afternoon of Christmas eve. John returned my call a few days later due to the holiday, which was appropriate. Midwest Pest does not currently do bedbugs. He did recommend three regional companies that do provide bedbug extermination service, all of which seem to be experts and highly professional. The referral was very valuable as all three companies have teams specializing in bedbug treatment, and I will likely hire one of the companies recommended.

Found where mice were entering, blocked entrances, and baited traps. Was so impressed we hired company for yearly pest controls.

I have no issues with Provider or with Angie's List. I cannot provide access to the provider under Deck because it is too close to ground and because of this he may not be able to properly do his work.

Outstanding service. John is professional, knowledgable, punctual, and friendly. I would highly recommend him and will use him again for any pest problems in the future.

It went very well. The technician was very professional and helpful. He patched an entry point in my garage wall and thoroughly checked the foundation of the house as well as siding to be sure that there were not other locations with potential. He also gave advice on filling cracks in the foundation and also gaps between the concrete driveway and sidewalk and the garage - advice that my neighbors also are using. He set bait in indoor areas of concern too - but recommended that outdoor stations not be filled right now as they tend to attract mice to the foundation of the house. He will check back in a month to see if the problem is gone.

Basically, they did all the things I've been doing to help eliminate mice. The $250 would have paid for all my supplies for the next ten years. Unless you don't have the time or interest to do basic maintainence, you're better off keeping a large stash of steel wool, re-usable traps and bait.

Great service, we recently bought a new home that had mice infestation documented in our inspection so we wanted to make sure this was fixed/solved for ASAP. They were able to clearly identify where mice have gotten in by filling the holes and guaranteed up to a year. I will need to call back since I think some are still getting in but I can tell the problem has gotten a lot better.

I received a call back within 20 minutes of leaving my message. Jon was very clear that insects in siding are a very rare occurrence and that the best way to prevent woodpeckers from harming siding is to provide food for them. He provided some helpful information about how to feed the birds and obtain bird feeders. I have used Midwest Pest before with complete satisfaction, and I appreciated again his honesty and the time he takes to explain best practices.

The mice created some new openings a few months after the initial work and I was catching quite a few mice inside my house. I called and they came back right away and sealed the new openings and re-baited the traps. Joe was very professional and good to work with.

We had just moved into our home when my son was stung by a bee. We soon discovered that there was a steady stream of bees coming and going from a hole by our front steps. I called around to a few places that could get out to us in a few days and would have charged a one time fee for the removal of the bees. Then I called Midwest Pest... Jon was able to come to the house within 20 minutes of my phone call and sprayed the bees that morning so that we wouldn't have to worry about future stings. The treatment was effective. I signed up for the maintenance plan so Jon came back out to complete an inspection of our home and treat it for it's specific needs. He also took care of a few mice that had found their way into our basement and sealed up the hole that he discovered had been letting them in and out. He is great about returning calls and getting out to the house in a timely manner. It's such a comfort to be on the maintenance plan with this company, I feel like they really want to make sure that I'm happy and well taken care of.

I called Jon with wasp and ant issues - he responded in a reasonable time frame and was able to do the wasp control within a week. He talked with me over the phone and provided me with good options and info regarding the seasonality of wasps and ants. I had Jon come out to treat the wasps as they were housed in a crack in our foundation. Jon treated some ants for me while he was here too - had several mounds where the ants had killed the lawn. He let me know it was not the best time of year to get rid of them due to inactivity. I will connect back with him next year if they continue to be a problem. I used Jon several years ago at a different house to control carpenter ants and wasps - never had another issue with either after his work was done.

I thought he was just fine! I liked him very much, very honest, very easy to work with. When I explained my problem, he had a simple solution.

They rock! We used them for SIX YEARS and loved every part of our experience. They know what they are doing, and charge fairly. The only reason we stopped is because we moved.

Joe was very professional and diligent in his inspection for mice and filling foundation cracks. Really impressed. Over 3 weeks, and no more mouse sightings!

I initially contacted Midwest Pest because of the sounds of creatures in my ceiling and walls. Larry Sr. came out, set mouse traps, and closed a couple of holes along the foundation of the house. The noises went away that same day, although we did not catch anything in the traps. Seemed like Larry's mere presence was enough to scare the critters away. (BTW, Larry only charged the price of a recent Angie's Big Deal, although that offer had expired.) When the sounds returned a few months later, Larry Sr. and Larry Jr. returned and set rat traps, at no cost. Caught a rat that night, and have had no more problems since. We suspect that the rat got in through a hole in the siding on the second floor, which was not accessible during the winter months when the animal entered the house.

I called Midwest Pest because I discovered mice in our basement. We've had this problem in the past and my husband did a lot of work to try to seal up any holes. My husband is no longer able to do this so I needed some help. The technician was very nice, he looked around the foundation on the outside and did not see any obvious areas were the mice were coming in. We have a three season porch that is an add on and does not have a basement so it leaves an area that is inviting for mice and hard to get to to try to find any holes. He also looked around the basement inside. He did not remove any insulation to check for holes, but placed several bait traps and showed me areas where there was definite mice activity. He suggested I consider having a company spay foam above the walls/floor area. He said that other customers have done this and found that it solved the problem. He also said that trying to find the hole would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. He gave me information on two companies that other customers have used and one is also on Angies list. I have called and made arrangement to have the spray foam done. Given that this is the first time I have used a service like this, I am not sure what to expect. I did find the information the technician gave me helpful, but i don't feel that the service helped to eliminate the problem.

I purchased an Angie's list deal from Midwest Pest for mice exclusion and elimination for my home that is currently occupied by a renter. Prior to coming out to perform the service John spent a considerable time on the phone helping me understand how the problem developed and what he would do to resolve it. On the day of our scheduled appointment John arrived exactly on time, and made a careful examination of my house both inside and out. He was patient and understanding of the concerns my renter had, and thoroughly answered all of her questions. He showed us how he sealed the two entrance points he found, including one that had previously been sealed only with foam by a competitor - the mice had chewed through that to get back into the house. John filled the entry points with a fine copper mesh prior to filling them with foam. John gave us both his card, and assured my renter she could call him any time with questions. With a year guarantee this was a great deal, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Midwest Pest to anyone.

Large fee up front and 79.00 per critter captured...

Initially, I had purchased the Mice Exclusion deal via the Angie's List Deal. They came out, and quickly determined the entry point of the mice and that they would be unable to perform the repair, as it would require special equipment and likely a mason, or cement contractor. They had me request a refund for the package, as they were unable to perform the services included, and just charged me a nominal fee for their inspection. They were very prompt, and knowledgeable.
