Updated comments, 4/13/13 - Adam's contacted me shortly after my original Angie's List rating. They admitted the rep I was working with was misinformed and that I should have gotten retreatments for 90 days as I understood. They offered to continue treatments, but I had already hired another contractor to treat the property. Adam's then offered to refund my payment which I recently received. Thanks Angie's List and thanks Adam's for making this right. Overall a B. Original comments - Adam's told me over the phone that they would treat interior spaces for ants, but couldn't treat exterior because of winter conditions so results may not be 100% effective. However, I was told they would come back and retreat if problem persisted for up to 90 days. I contacted them to come back and treat at least once (maybe twice) after giving the product time to take effect. They wouldn't come back within a week because "it takes that long to for the poison to take effect", but they did come back for some retreatments. My major disappointment was when I called back after a month (because the issue wasn't resolved) and was told if I wanted further treatments I would have to pay again. I said I was told during the initial phone consultation that I would get retreatments for 90 days. I was informed that was not correct and they only retreat for 30 days. I shared my frustration that I paid for a product based on a certain commitment and felt they weren't holding up there end of the deal. The person told me they record their calls, so they would check into it and get back to me. I called them back a week later and was told they had found all the phone conversations on record, but couldn't find the initial conversation -- how convenient. They told me they would look into it further, but I never heard back from them again. I gave up at that point. I would NOT use Adam's Pest Control again. I feel ripped off. I gave a B on price based on initial quote versus competitors. Obviously, it didn't work out as promised. I gave a B on responsiveness because the technician made it out to the property quickly after the first call. Responsiveness by Adam's was not very good later on when it came to keeping in contact to resolve my complaint. I gave N/A for punctuality and professionalism because I was not present during the treatments. My tenant worked directly with the technician and I didn't get any feedback from him. I captured the major disappointment above under the quality grade, F. Overall a D.

They did a good job. They came in and they took care of the immediate problem but I don't know if it's going to come back. So far so good. They were prompt and did a good job. They seem to be very thorough. They offered to come back when it warms up. They gave us a good explanation of what they were going to do.

We use them and we will continue to use them. They were so inexpensive. They didn't even charge me for a full rate. They were the nicest people in the world. He moved into this new house and we had a pest problem and they didn't disclose it. They have been very helpful. There was nothing to dislike about them. They were just honest and very helpful. There was nothing to dislike. I called them and they came right out and then I had to call them again and they came right out. They were reliable and honest.

Adam's Pest Control Inc was very thorough and he did a good job.

The guy who came out was fabulous. He was very knowledgeable. He spent a lot of time talking to us. He had a very good service. The price was comparable to everybody else, however we had to wait a lot for him to come.

We had mice in our storage room that we simply could not contain. We finally phoned Adams and soon learned that we had the perfect shelter in that room for pregnant mice trying to cool off and that it had been the worst season for our technician in the 12 years since he started working there due to the extreme heat. After researching, he used a mirror next to the foundation to find the holes that were not seen with the naked eye. Between bait boxes, repaired holes, and new traps, we were all set! What an amazing experience. We have now been mice free for 6 months!

Their service representatives are always informative and take care of any problems we might have.

The experience went very well. The tech was very good and explained what he was going to do. Was very pleased with the company how they responded.

They were thorough, personable and fixed the problem.

The technician seemed to be very knowledgeable. He showed us places the mice could be getting in that we weren't aware of. He also made suggestions as far as bait traps and plugging up the holes. This was what we were looking for. Whether or not his suggestions were effective is partly up to us, but we received the service we requested for a price that was reasonable.

I have occasionally had mice in my home and have sealed cracks that I found with Great Stuff, while catching the mice in live traps and taking them to a nearby wooded area. But recently, I had another infestation of mice and could not get rid of them. I called Adam's Pest control and they scheduled a visit within a week. Frank came early to the appointment and immediately pointed out some things that attract mice: I have a dog (mice go for the dog food), have bushes growing close to the house, and set out bird food. He then went into the basement and left traps, etc. He plugged up holes in the foundation outside and pointed out exit points in the garage. He left bait outside, in areas where the dog will not go. Frank worked efficiently (he was finished in about an hour), and told me what I need to do in the future to deter mice. He also made suggestions for an ant problem that I have in the summer. He told me to call him if I see any more evidence of the mice, and stressed that he values his good reputation and wants to be sure that the problem is eliminated.

I used Adams first at a Business I managed. They did such a good job when we had some rodent problems in our condominium common area I suggested Adams. This was in the mid 1980’s. When I moved to my home in 1997, I continued to have Adam service my residence quarterly. I did suspend service for a while due to scheduling problems but that person is no longer working for Adam’s Pest Control. I have no problems scheduling my quarterly service since. If I am having any problem they take care of it. This summer spiders were bad and Leo removed a hornet’s nest that was in my carport both were taken care of promptly by my Adams Technician Leo Karst.

I would not use them again.

Since using their service, we have little to no issues with bugs, spiders, or wasps. They are very professional and he even wipes down all of the spider webs outside the home. They are very knowledgeable. They are very thorough and spray inside and out. I am extremely happy with their service.

I live in a wooded subdivision. There are mice all around the area. They got into my garage about 10 years ago and Adams Pest Control did a good job solving my problem then. Same problem this year, so I called them again without any hesitation. I don't know if I caught the employee on a bad day or what, but Adams Pest Control failed big time, this time. The employee (named removed out of courtesy) from Adams Pest was a nice gentle man, but a lazy worker. It pains me to call someone lazy, but I don't know what else you'd call it. We walked around the house and I'd have to point out everything for him to check otherwise he would have just said it all "looked" OK. He plugged 2 or 3 suspect holes, and every single one of them was because I suggested he check under this vent or that siding connection. He would have walked past them if I hadn't of said anything. OK, I KNOW the weather strips around my garage doors are rotting, but once he saw them, that's all he focused on while I kept saying - yes, I'll take care of the weather strips - but let's be proactive and look for other possible entry points too. I honestly feel it was a waste of $214 - except for that he plugged 3 potential holes and gave me a few poison traps to put down. He said he doesn't do any caulking but suggested a few areas I might want to do it. Ahh, gee, thanks. I spent 30 minutes just hammering him with questions and I'll admit, he had the knowledge, but he was just very lazy about looking for other entry points. If I hadn't of asked any questions, he would have been done in 15 minutes. Oh, and I kept asking about mice getting in through the roof or second story access points. He said yes they can, but they don't do any roof inspections or use ladders to looks for problem areas.

I called Adam's Pest Control and they were able to schedule somebody to come out two days later, which is what fit my schedule. I had tried to use store bought spray to kill the bees, but they were far enough in the soffit that the spray wasn't effective. The technician was on time and very friendly. He asked questions and then assessed the situation. He then explained the process and how the chemicals would be applied and how they worked. He then treated the area including spraying in the soffit where the bees were entering and the surrounding area. He explained that it may take 5-7 days for the bees to completely be gone, but after only 1-2 days, the bees were gone. I realize the price is probably the going rate, but it struck me as high considering the entire process took less then 30 minutes. But having already used 3 cans of spray and having to wait until after dark on 3 nights to spray, and only succeeding in driving the bees further in, I didn't mind having the job done for me. In all, I was pleased with the work and wouldn't hesitate to use their services again.

I have a contract for ant control and they come out twice a year. I would say that they are an excellent company and they know what they are doing. If there has been some mix up they correct them immediately and I am completely satisfied with their service. I would not only recommend them, I will continue to use them myself. Their price is $ 100 per treatment, so it will be $200 a year. I think I am getting quality service for what I am paying.

They are doing good job. It's reasonable.

" We had contacted Adam's Pest Control to do a heat treatment in our condo after finding out that our building was infested and finding the bugs around our bed. Our condo association recommended them. We had set up an appointment for the treatment to get done, and on the day it was supposed to happen ... nothing did. We did not receive a call from them to tell us our appointment was cancelled. My girlfriend had taken the day off of work to be here to let them in. So she called and was treated extremely rudely by their employees. When asked for his supervisor, he refused to give us his name and number. After talking with her, they called my phone and left a voicemail stating that "We tried to tell your girlfriend what had happened, but she was being irrational" I have this voicemail saved and am going to send a copy to the business owner. We then came back to Angies List and found another pest control company. A local company. They showed up the same day Adams was supposed to and did the first of three chemical treatments. They were great. So don't go with Adams. Their customer service is terrible.

We were VERY impressed with this company. We called Adam's initially after seeing Angie's List reviews, and liked their website as well. The receptionist was helpful and got a same day appointment. The technician arrived on time, actually early, and did a great inspection. He explained everything to me, in laymans' terms, as he was inspecting. He was very courteous, not intrusive at all. Thankfully, he did not find any bugs and reassured me that there have not been any bugs in the recent weeks. He was very helpful, answered all my questions, and even spoke to my husband on the phone to tell him the details. He had a lot of helpful knowledge about bedbugs, how they behave, where they hide, where we may have gotten them, and much more. We will definitely use this company again if we have any concerns.

They are an excellent pest removal company for bugs. We’ve been using them for about three years.

They call me to set up the appointments, which is nice. The bugs appear to be gone ever since I started using them.

Called 1 day, they were there the next day. The person was informative, courteous and professional. Got the job done and let us know what to expect. Very pleased with their services.

He does good work. They are good. They are careful with the pets and the garden.
