J’s Rain Drains

Chad and Merilee came out to look at some water accumulation issues we were having in our yard. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable on the potential issues, and helped us determine what the cause may be. It turns out that it is not related to rain drainage issues, but we will certainly keep them in mind if we need that type is service in the future.

This work was done in a very professional and timely manner starting with our request for estimate thru the actual installation. The communication was excellent as was the work done. Merilee and Chad worked very, very hard as a team and encountered tree roots throughout the work and under our sidewalk. Their work was very neat and clean up was excellent. We would highly recommend them for this work.

I called J's rain drain on a Saturday and they responded on Sunday and said they could take a look that day. They gave me a heads up call and were punctual. After I told them I had water coming into a window well between the driveway and house during the spring snow thaw and I would like to drain the water from the backyard away from the driveway. They explained that with the slope the water would have to drain toward the driveway and for my situation the driveway would have to be cut and a channel drain installed. This was something out of their scope but I appreciated their honesty and that they made the trip out.

Have never left a review before, and these guys more than deserve it. Merilee and Chad were responsive, down to earth and did a great job; customer service was exceptional. We had water in our basement and they installed a drainage system for our down spouts and sump pump, as well as installed drain tile on the exterior of our home. Basement is completely dry and has been since. I highly recommend their service and will forever be thankful.

I waited for our first winter in order to determine if the project was a success. Before the work was done, our front sidewalk was icy and hazardous to walk on most of the winter. This winter, even with record February snowfall, the problem was mostly eliminated.

Always fast communication. Came over and quoted the job after they were done with the neighbors project. We decided to proceed with the project and let them know. They came out within a week and took care of the job in a day. Cleaned up before they left. Quality work by some great folks. Would not hesitate to work with them again or refer them.

J's couldn't have been more responsive; communicative; professional. Despite the wet summer we had, they waited and let me know why the delay. Neighbors were notified. Project completed. J's noticed one of our downspouts at split due to ice expansion and were the only company we got a bid from to notice that. Would hire again in a heartbeat.

Excellent work and service. They went above and beyond expectations. You can’t even tell where they buried the drains with the technique they have. Looks and works great. I would highly recommend Marilee and their team!

They worked like crazy to find a solution that not only took care of the water, but did not negatively impact the look of the patio. They are super careful and everything looks great -- I'd hire them again in a heartbeat!!!

They came and bid out the work and they were much cheaper than I was expecting. They ended up installing three drains pipes in our backyard that pushes all with water away from my home. Since installing the drains our foundation in our basement has been dry when it rains so its no longer damp and musty in our basement which makes it all so worth the money! They were very professional and worked really quick and kept me informed the whole way. overall my entire experience with them was great.

The price and work were great! They came quickly to give us the estimate, then were quick to schedule once we were ready. The work was done in a few hours and they replaced all the sod and cleared up any mess. Merrilee and Chad were very easy to work with.

Merilee emailed me to tell me that they were running late which I appreciated. Did a good job, they were courteous and friendly and cleaned up after. I want it to rain now to watch the pop-up.

They got to work right away when they got to our house the day of the work. They also walked through all the different roadblocks that came up during the work such as foundation placements and the best ways to get around them and specifically why that was the route to go. Very professional and did a great job with the clean up of our yard.

Marilee was quick to respond with an estimate and our work was done the following week. Marilee was very professional and was able to advise us on exactly what we needed. Her installation crew were also very pleasant and professional. They left our yard and sidewalk cleaner than it was when they arrived. We would highly recommend this company!

We were originally quoted $1,000 for doing the entire house and sump pump ("whole house discount") However, the garage was not added into the estimate for some reason even though it was discussed so it was an additional $100 charge we were not expecting. Our soil is pretty nasty clay which he was aware of, and we just got sod placed so he told us not to water at all on Thursday. When they got there Friday it had rained during the night and he got a little crabby at me about the ground being wet (Sorry, I can't control the weather?!). Then he claimed he told me not to water on Wednesday or Thursday. They were able to place them still however. They didn't pack down the ground after digging tho, so we had to lift up the sod once they left and fix all the bumps and divots from huge clumps they left :/

They were subcontractors of another company that did some work for me. They came in, did their work and did a great job. They were very nice and easy to work with and worked together on what I wanted. They installed an underground rain drain with a pop-up head at the downspout of each gutter. Rain drains are like French drains that they put in the ground to carry the water away from the house. The pop-up valve opens with the pressure of the rain water as it comes down. It is an efficient way to get the water away from the house without having the gutter extensions sticking out and this setup looks good. They worked very hard. They had high standards and morals. The price was fair for the job done. I would definitely use them again in the future if needed.
