Den's Drywall

Dennis was one of the few contractors that responded promptly. He was pleasant and quicly gave a good estimate that I felt was very reasonable based on other estimates I had received. He was willing to work with me to correct mistakes I had made in hanging the drywall, but was not judgmental at all. Dennis showed up when he said he would, and finished the job when he said he would. He was careful to keep the work area clean at the end of each day, and at the conclusion of the job. We were very happy with the appearance of the finished job.

Dennis showed up when he said he would. The bid process was quick and complete. He performed the services he described. He was professional and courteous.

I contacted Den on a Thursday. He got back to me on that Thursday evening. We made arrangements to meet and he came at that time. Den came in and acted as a consultant. He didn't just accept what I was asking for, and he didn't tell me what to do. He took ownership of the job before he even had it and helped me to find the best solutions for the project.After we agreed on price, Den did everything he said he would do. He was there when he said he would be there. As the project progressed, Den updated me and contacted me when decisions needed to be made. The thing I always want when I hire someone to do work in my home is that sense that they not only know what they are doing, but that they are simply a good person who is there to do what is best for your home. I cannot overstate how comfortable Den made my wife and I feel about the project as it progressed. He is a kind man who knows how to do his job extremely well. As I handed Den the check when the job was completed, my only thought regarding the finance was, " money well spent! " I highly recommend Den's Drywall for any drywall work you have. I feel lucky that I was able to contact Den via Angie's List.

The job went extremely well. Dennis called me the next day after I left the message (called on Thursday) and promised to come by on Monday. He was very prompt on Monday. He looked at the problem and explained to us what we was needed to fix the problem. He was so friendly and polite. He gave us an estimate and told us that the whole job would require 3 visits. The first visit was for cutting off the bad part of the ceiling and removing the paint (popcorn) from the whole room then apply a first layer of paint or primer?!. He spent about 3 hours on the first day during which he prepared the room for the job by taping and using plastic sheets all over the room, replacing the damaged ceilig area and applying the first coat of protection. The second visit would be for applying an over coat and the last day was for applying the popcorn. The end result? everything looks perfect now and great!

When my cousin and I framed and drywalled these areas the theme of our weekend was "nothing a good mudder can't cover up." Dennis did a great job covering for us. He was able to start work a week after he came out to do a bid. He was on time, communicative and easy to work with. He offered to patch any holes we marked and was gracious about how many we found. We would absolutely use him again and appreciated his approach.

Den responded to our email the day after it was sent. He came out and gave an estimate shortly afterwards. Other calls were made and some people didn't even want to come out and see the job in person. He is very professional and responsive. He gave helpful suggestions on a good primer that has worked well for him in the past. He knew the cost and where to buy the primer. I would recommend him to others and would use him in the future. His work looks great.

Dennis did a great job on the basement. He gave us ideas on how to maximize the ceiling height and the work came out perfect. He gave us ideas on what we could do ourselves to prepare the space to save costs. He spent extra time on the drywall mud to make sure it came out just as he would like it. The finished product was great, and now we can enjoy the extra space. We really enjoyed working with him and would recommend him to anyone.

We bought a house with a partially finished basement, most of which was done badly. Homeowner-hung sheetrock, glued on paneling, texture painted ceilings, etc... You've all seen them! After removing the paneling it was clear that a professional needed to look at the drywall to see if it could be repaired (skimmed) or replaced. Several contractors looked and said it had to be replaced at a cost of anywhere from $1600 to $2000. Dennis came and said he could skim it and fix it perfectly. Due to the demo there was a bare wall that needed to be rehung, which he was able to do. He was at the house for 4 days working on the project and at the end, everything was absolutely perfect! He even suggested some framing changes to eliminate a soffit. All in all it was an excellent experience. I am not a person who hires out a lot of work, but the scope and timing of this job really made it worth it for me to do so. I joined AngiesList specifically for this job and it was worth every penny and then some to have found Dennis. When we get to finishing off the rest of the basement, he will be my first and probably only call for the drywall work!

We started a project on a large room and were unable to finish due to our inexperience and lack of time. We emailed Den and he responded to us by email quickly and came to do an estimate. He is very polite and professional. He gave us an estimate at the time of his visit. We accepted his estimate. Den came to our home and completed the work when he said he would and he did a great job. Drywall completed and a finished ceiling. We would recommend Den to anyone looking for drywall and ceiling texture.

He was kind of superhuman about how quickly he got the job done and how well it was done. Upon inspection I could not find a single flaw. He also was superhuman about not invading our space. He stayed in his own space and was very professional in what he did. He had the best quote and it only took him three days to do the work.

Dennis did a great job. He was able to start and finish the job right away. He was always on time and very courteous and professional. The job ended up much better than we expected it could. I highly recommend Dennis, and will definitely use him again in the future.

Dennis did an excellent job, he is an absolute find. We were so happy with the work he did and have not one complaint. He was always on time, got the job done in the time he said and for a very reasonable price. He also was a great resource for other projects that we were doing on our own. Dennis has been punctual and very willing to explain all the steps and process he is/will be completing. I am extremely pleased with his overall work ethic and competitive pricing. I also like that he is a one man company. He clearly knows that how he does for his clients will impact his future opportunities. The way things are going, he will DEFINITELY be completing the drywall work in our garage in the near future.

Dennis was great. He worked with our condensed timeframe to get the work completed. He was very thorough. We had a lot of repair needed (former owner didn't properly prepare walls after removing wallpaper) and after Dennis finished, it looked like new. I would definately hire Dennis again if I needed this specialty again. He was meticulous and made sure that the work was to his satisfaction before calling the job "done."

I used Den once before. I called him and he came out within a day, and called with a verbal quote the next day. I agreed and he started work within a week. He had the closet done first (which was my priority so I could get my clothes put away). He wasn't originally planning on replacing the whole ceiling in the laundry, but there were so many holes (from plumbing work) that he decided to. He is very punctual, quick, clean and professional.

Exactly what you want when you hire someone to do work in your home. Den was punctual, meticulous, hardworking, and responsive. He arrived when he said he would, did the work he was hired to do in a professional manner and with high standards, and left the work space tidy. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

I was very satisfied with the work Den did. Den was very responsive, always answering the phone whenever I called. He was punctual, always showing up on time and finishing the job in the exact amount of time he estimated. He was very clean and efficient. The thing that stood out most to me about Den is the fact that he consistently went above and beyond, whether it was patching several cracks in my dining room for free, putting in a new outlet box for my cable, putting some extra insulation in a wall that needed some, and even lending me his nail pliers to pull out nails from the wood paneling. You won't be disappointed if you choose Den for your job.
