Coleman Hardwood

We have used Bill for 3 separate flooring jobs over the past 6 years or so... 1. He repaired, sanded and refinished a really bad birch floor. Did a great job -- the floor looks amazing! 2. Originally to sand and refinish two bedrooms with old oak flooring -- but then we decided to pull up the carpet and add hardwood to the hall, living room and dining room as well. Added floor trim with the new floor as well. Bill found flooring that would blend with the old wood -- once it was finished you can't tell which is the old floor and which is the new. It is seamless. It totally changed the look of the house. Looks amazing. 3. Added another room of new flooring to same house as in #2. As before, he found wood that would match the existing wood and he did a great job installing and finishing. Note: We are now on our 4th job -- Bill is sanding, possibly patching, and refinishing the floor of another house for us. Bill knows his wood -- what will look good, where he can get the wood you want, different properties of different species as well as same species from different parts of the country. He also knows his finishes, poly vs water based vs high end water based and call talk you through the various choices. He is professional, but laid back. He does the work himself and is busy with his kids -- so being flexible a little helps. Also, he is totally trust worthy -- I even choose to give Bill a key so he could get in if I wasn't around.

He did a great job. The handyman said it was one of the best jobs he's seen. Especially considering how thick the poly was. Pricing was fairly good. I know he has been super busy, so the job went a bit slow to finish up. But overall everyone does a 'wow' when they see the floors. Good job and I'd use him again.

Bill was EXCELLENT at being able to bring my vision to life. He is an expert craftsman. Hire Bill if you want someone who will listen and work with you to achieve your goals. Realize that he is a one man shop, so there may be scheduling limitations, but it's worth it. Bill is a true artist. Everyone who comes to the house now stops to admire the flooring, even the new couch delivery folks. I'm in love with my house again!
