I called LCS because we have a creeping charlie problem (along with dandelions, etc) in our yard. I wanted to find a company who offered eco-friendly options for our yard- -knowing that creeping charlie is tough to get rid of. I spoke to Jeff who explained, in detail, the types of products they use and how they are different from other products/processes used at other lawncare companies. I really appreciated his time and for answering all of my questions. They were able to send me an estimate that day and someone was at our house applying the first application about a week later. We were told that it would take a bit longer to see a difference in our year- -with the type of products (organic based) they use (instead of 1 week- - 2 to 3 weeks) and that is okay. They guarantee their work and, as I said, we can already see a difference after one application. Their pricing is very fair and we appreciate their great customer service and responsiveness! We look forward to seeing our lawn at the end of the summer and next spring!

When we moved into the home in 1994, the lawn was basically a mixture of grass and weeds. Probably 50/50. Within the first year, most weeds were knocked back by end of that season. I have always had good, open communication with Jeff Turnbull and my service technicians. For the first few years, I had the same service tech for almost every job. We knew each other by name. If I had a question about turf or tech, he knew my yard. I could call at anytime and address questions or get suggestions on how to manage the turf to get a thicker lawn. They know their business and are professional. I've always met and dealt with real, knowledgeable lawn care professionals - not someone coming out and going through the motions. LCS feels like a "small-town" operation, even though they've grown a lot since I started with them. Turnover seems fairly low. I'm not involved with their operations, but I alsways seem to have the same tech visit us. Our original tech has moved up inside the company. The techs and office staff know me when I call in and have questions. Services are handled quickly and efficiently. I haven't asked for many special visits for weed problems (1 or 2 over last 7 years???), but when I have asked, they have been prompt and responsive to my requests. The final thing that I think is probably the most important is their attention to special items (watch out for new cable installation, underground dog fence, area I just seeded, etc.). That, to me, is the epitome of solid customer service. They treat the lawn care like it is their own. As a matter of fact, when I've called with questions or for advice, they often share some of their own challenges with their yard and how they handled it (like spots from dog urine kill). Great company. Great people. They care about customer satisfaction and making your property look its very best.

They are very professional. They make lawn grow and keep it staying healthy.

They did a spring cleaning for my yard. I just bought this house in February and I have never seen the lawn since it was under the snow. The lawn was left in a really bad condition and LCS did an outstanding job cleaning it up from old dead grass, branches, and leaves.

I was required to enter a workdate to submit the report, but obviously there was no work date as we did not get a response of any kind to our request for an estimate.

They are excellent! They do a great job and are wonderful communicators. I have been using them for a number of years.

CALLED ON THE 7TH GOT A ESTIMATE IN A COUPLE OF DAYS. IT WAS A SATELLITE ESTIMATE SO I TOLD THEM I JUST WANTED THE FRONT YARD DONE. JIM CAME OUT THE NEXT DAY WITH A TAPE MEASURED ESTIMATE AND THEN ON THE 16TH THE WORK WAS DONE. EVERYONE I TALKED WITH WERE GREAT. VERY NICE PEOPLE.

I was at a home show and saw a rep from LCS there. I liked their price so I went home and checked them out on Angies List to verify they had good reviews. I had a VERY bad problem with creeping charlie. I thought it had taken over the yard in a few spots. I met with the guy when he came out to apply the first treatment. He took a look at the yard and said ALL of the creeping charlie will be gone by summers end. He said it would take a few applications before we could get the weed situation under control but he was confident it would be good to go this year. He also gave useful tips on lawn care. He was very professional, well dressed and it was clear he knew what he was doing. I must admit I was very skeptical about his claim since I have heard what a nightmare creeping charlie can be. A few weeks after the first application I inspected the yard where the creeping charlie was and I saw that it was wilting a bit. It appeared to me that chemicals may have phased it a bit, but it was still thriving. A few weeks after that it was starting to discolor quite a bit, but still hanging in there. A few weeks after the second treatment the chemicals had started to win and almost all of the creeping charlie was gone. It is now October and I have no creeping charlie or any other weeds for that matter. Crabgrass started to fill in where the creeping charlie was since I had huge bare spots where there was nothing. The crabgrass is still there but is dead. I just have to pull it out. I am very pleased with LCS and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to others. Be prepared for a green weed free lawn if you go with them. Oh....and a lot of extra mowing. The lawn really takes off.

They have been responsive to any kind of requests I make. For instance, my neighbor is allergic to the pesticide they use. They call me before they come so I can let her know. Last year I was not satisfied with the way they did the aeration and they came back and redid it for free. They are on time and do what they say they will do.

I don't really interact with them a lot when they come out, but they seemed fine and they were prompt. I set up the account and they come out to take care of fertilization and pesticide on a regular basis.

We spent about $67. Everything was okay. I was not here when they came to do the work. They sent me the bill and I paid them. I think they did a good job on the lawn. I will continue to use them.

The service is organic and they are very prompt. I am able to speak to the owner if I have questions or concerns.

We needed to have the work within four days. The owner worked very diligently to get the work done. He followed up to make sure the work was done. His price was reasonable. He was very congenial and nice.

LCS Lawn Service has gone above and beyond all of my expectations. After they had come out to do the estimate on my lawn, I called them back to discuss and ended up talking with Jeff, the owner. Jeff was very helpful, knowledgeable, and spent a ton of time on the phone educating me (about an hour for the first call!!). This was very much appreciated. Then the second time that I talked with someone, this time to discuss the results for the PH testing that they completed on the soil, again I spoke with Jeff and he spent a considerable amount of time going through the results and again educating me. I use LCS on an ongoing basis and they have always done a great job. The lawn looks wonderful and I have already renewed their services for the upcoming growing season. I have recommend LCS to many of my friends with all of the signing on for their services. I did have other companies out for estimates, but LCS had better services, cost and their customer services is out of this world!

The service has been good. They are reliable. It's a good company.

Great experience. Great professionalism. They guarantee their work and have assured me that they will come back if I don't deem the results to be satisfactory. Can't ask for much more than that!

They arrive when they say they will. Other lawn services were unable to get rid of creeping Charlie, however LCS was able to pull through for us. We pay $60 five times a summer.

Very good. They were responsive when called for any issue. They showed up when they said they would. All employees were very professional and courteous.

It's important to note that they use conventional chemical fertilizers which is why I stopped using them - plus I didn't see any improvement to my lawn. I didn't recall signing a multi-year contract so when I came home last April 2006 I was surprised to see that they had fertilized my lawn. I called, canceled the account and asked to have the measly $35 removed but they refused, and the owner was rather flip about it. The way I see it, they were underhanded by just "assuming the work", and expecting me to cover the charges. Like I said, we didn't have a contract for two seasons. Part of what makes a company high quality is the ability to assume their mistakes and take responsibility, and because I didn't see LCS in this instance do this, I can not possibly recommend them or rate this company with high ratings.

I told them to call in advance of treatment since I have a dog. They always call to let me know a day ahead of time. They also come for additional treatments if a weed problem persists for no additional charge. Jeff is very knowledgeable and explains things very well when you have a question on a particular issue (mine was ants and moles).

They did a nice job and the lawn is starting to look much better (we inherited a somewhat sickly lawn). I like the fact that they leave care instructions after each treatment (how often to water, etc). I originally requested that they call ahead of time, but they didn't. As we don't have dogs or kids, I don't care much and I didn't complain. If you hire them, I would specifically ask about this. Otherwise, we have been very pleased.
