LCS Lawn & Tree Service

Submitted a request on their site, detailing how the weeds were taking over despite my DIY efforts. Was called back within 24 hours with a detailed explanation of what they could do as well as cost (I'm assuming they use Google Maps for estimates rather than actually coming out). The guy who called was extremely nice and made sure to let me know they will always come back at no-charge if you are not satisfied. So far, my weeds have been dying and I'm sure this will only continue to improve as they get the lawn into better and better shape with each treatment. I have a small yard so the cost is fairly low per treatment, not really all that much more than what the products would cost me at Home Depot. They understood I was not thrilled about the current state of my yard and made an effort to get out for the first treatment within a couple days. Assuming everything continues going as good as it is, will continue to use them for years to come!!

LCS returned by email request within 24 hours. I had a quote within a couple of days. The price was fair (lawncare services are always higher than do it yourself - but the weeds were winning!). The treatment was done a couple of days later and the weeds have been dying out. In another week, they should all be gone. I will be using LCS for aeration and overseeding in the fall as well. All in all, one of the best experiences I have had so far with lawn care services. I will report back after all this year's services have been delivered.

That was good. They were very prompt. The guy called right back when I made an inquiry about what the cost would be. So we're satisfied. They have done what they said they were going to do. We just had them for the two treatments. It will go through fall but I assume they will keep doing the same. I think they're charging the going rate.

They are a good lawn service company.

Over the course of several years, we have tried various lawn services. LCS has been, by far, the best we have ever used. Each time they plan on doing a treatment, they phone us ahead of time so that our dog isn't outside when they arrive. When we used other lawn services, we had countless weeds EVERYWHERE...all season. This is our second season with LCS and our lawn is in much better shape. LCS is still trying to eliminate the Creeping Charlie that arrived while we used the other services but we are very happy with them. Their lawn service plans are much more flexible and they haven't tried to sell us needless services.

Only had one of four treatment and it appears the weeds are dying. Will know more after other treatments.

I've used LCS for almost a year. They have been very punctual with my requests and informative. My lawn looks great and they've helped me with suggestions on how to make it look better.

Bill from LCS showed up on time, answered my questions, then quickly applied the crabgrass preventer and fertilizer to my lawn. It looks great! My lawn had a really bad crabgrass and weed problem. With all the rain, my lawn looks beautiful. Also, after teh application, Bill provided a document showing the strength and quantity of fertilizer applied for my records. This was extremely helpful, as I am able to refer to it as needed.

We have used LCS for a number of years for lawn fertilizing. We have been pretty happy, and the lawn looks pretty good. Because LCS used DuPont Imprelis weed killer in 2011 (which turned out to also be a tree killer), they were involved with the claim filing process, and that all went fine. When it came time to remove one tree and fertilize 4 others, we used LCS because of our previous relationship. They fertilized the 4 trees in October 2012 (and deferred the billing until the DuPont settlement was finalized), and then in December they removed the tree (paid for by DuPont directly). The ATV they used to pull the tree branches from the back yard to the street did some lawn damage that we were promised would be taken care of in the spring. Because there was snow on the ground when the tree was cut down, they did not chip out the stump until May 2013. We were led to believe that they would clean up the area but they left a lot of needles and crud where the tree once stood. We have asked about this and the ATV damage a couple of times and were told Kevin would have to look at it, but we still have not heard from Kevin and have essentially given up hope of ever hearing from Kevin. The 2013 spring tree fertilization treatment did not happen until early June. Part of the reason for being so late is the awful weather in Minnesota this year (there was still some snow in early May). But - when we called in mid May to ask when they would be out, we were told "this week or next week". Next week passed. When we called again, we were told "this week or next week". The next week on Monday, they called and said they'd be out on Tuesday, but did not show up until Wednesday. The tree fertilizer treatment is supposed to come to $180 plus tax - $90 for the first tree, and $30 for each additional. Last October, they billed me $240. I called and they corrected it. This year they once again billed me $240. I called and left a message - so far no response. I believe the extra $60 is for two trees that were originally on the DuPont claim but subsequently removed. I can see messing that up once, but not the second time. Generally, the people that come out are nice and knowledgeable. The office procedures have degraded lately, and I will probably browse Angie's List to see what other companies are working in my area.

LCS has treated my yard a couple times now and I have been happy with the results. I told my brother about them and today I notice a referral discount on my bill which I didnt even know about or ask for so it was very nice to see! I think it shows some integrity that they gave me the discount without me have to ask for it.

I found them on this website and thought they looked good. I first emailed them through Angies' list but didn't hear anything. I called then and left a message. A gentleman called back and asked for our address. I called back and left a message with our address. I also emailed them our address so they could give an estimate. I never heard back from them so I went with another company.

After spraying the pre spring application for lawn we have seen substantial improvement in the lawn.

I shopped for Lawn Services but decided to you with a different company. However, LCS provided me with a detailed estimate with 16 hours of my request through their website. The estimate was very thorough.

They do snow plowing and lawns. For the snow plowing they did a very nice job. The guy that is the owner would email us and say, we're coming tomorrow starting at 4 in the morning. If we had any kind of problem they would come right out. We were very pleased. We told a couple of neighbors and they started using them as well. We've been very pleased.

I had previously written a mediocre review because I thought the dead lawn spots were from their company. They quickly contacted me to in hopes they could assist in remediating the situation. They came out the next day, performed an assessment and determined the spots were caused by my dog's urine (I'm a first-time dog owner). They had a plan to assist with correcting the lawn and were more than willing to come out at my convenience to start the process. I would like them to return when my financial situation improves. Also, the lawn itself looks absolutely fantastic based on last summer's treatments. They eradicated the weeds and the lawn is plush. I would definitely recommend them to anyone I know and I apologize for and feel a little foolish for my previous review.

Their website says: "No Waiting!! Instant satellite Estimates Now Available" It's been almost two weeks and I'm still waiting. I guess they are busy enough to not need the business. On a side note, the LINK to "Instant Satellite Estimates" just goes straight to their standard application for an estimate. I didn't expect "instant" because obviously it doesn't work, but I did expect a call back in a matter of days...not weeks.

We have always done this process on our own and NEVER again. We saw the reviews on Angie's List for LCS Lawn Service and decided to give it a try. We just signed up for another year and are recommending friends to use them. Last year was the first year that we ever enjoyed our lawn and received numerous compliments from neighbors. Even when we went through the drought, our lawn looked awesome. They came and performed the services and left a note at our front door, we also received a discount for paying early. What more could we ask for! They were even available if we had questions and followed up regarding some issues we were having with weeds. Thank you!

They used a herbicide that has attacked all my trees and is killing them. They committed to follow through to the end until a settlement was made. When I asked them to come back to fix the problem, they said they couldn't and wouldn't. I even recieved assurance from the company's president that this would be resolved, and it never was. I had to go out and pay to fix it. It was very poor management

Great experience. They came out and took care of the lawn and left the bill in the door. Did not even have to be home for this to be completed. It was affordable and easy to schedule and great job done.

We have found them to be excellent. They are very responsive and follow-up on everything. They address any issues immediately.

The 2nd summer I owned this house both lawns changed from magazine-perfect to looking diseased. The front lawn was being taken over by a ground cover that looked like clover, & the back lawn was being consumed by moss. I spent weeks (& a lot of money) trying to repair the damage but I was steadily losing the fight. I called a few different lawn services; LCS was the only one who seemed to have any idea at all what do about the moss issue. Unfortunately I've forgotten his name, but the guy they sent out to analyze my lawn was pretty impressive. I'd have to call him a "lawn geek" - very enthusiastic about & knowledgeable about his job. He knew the science behind each of the problems & possible solutions and was happy to discuss different approaches to getting my lawns looking the way they should. I agreed to a service plan for the rest of the season (weed'n'feed, aeration & over-seeding, late season feed), & I'm very happy with the results. The front lawn improved steadily, & in late fall when the neighbors' lawns were already patchy or dead my lawn was still a nice healthy green. The rear lawn moss issue couldn't be completely fixed in the time remaining last summer (drainage problems), & we'll be addressing that again in the spring.

Signing up was quick and easy. Was looking for a good lawn service and searched Angie's list and read good things about the company so called and talked to Sean who was very helpful. He sent me an email with some information and asked some questions and my first application was done. It was very easy and Sean was very informative and nice to talk to. Looking forward to a beautiful lawn.

The company did an excellent job, ensuring we were contacted the day before each service was provided so that we could ensure our dogs were kept inside and away from the chemicals until it was safe to let them back out. Due to the large amount of weeds in our front yard this season we did have to call them out for a second treatment three weeks after the first treatment, but once we had the weeds knocked back we did not need additional treatments beyond those which were scheduled.
