My garage door would not close and was stuck open with both cables on either side of the door unspooled from the drum and essentially locking the door at 3ft open. I used Angi to look up nearby contractors and A1 came up. They contacted me very quickly and when I acknowledged I needed service, they were on site within the hour! The end result is that they repaired my issue so that I can use the door again. To get to that point - they walked me through what they planned to do. Midway through the repair, they did ask to meet with me to recommend fully replacing all bars, springs, cables and tracks (for about $1600-$1800), but I declined as I was not ready to make that large a decision and may want to change the garage door in the future. There was a bit of back and forth on whether they would tighten the springs which were insufficiently wound, but they did in the end. I would work with them again. I'd prefer full discussion on what they can do to finish the requested job first.

I received a text when Jesus was on his way. He explained everything and all of our options and pricing. He did a 29 point inspection. Once again, gave us upfront prices. Fortunately he was able to fix the problem and get the new remotes working even though our Genie motor is very old. Josh, the serviceman from A1 Garage Door, was on time, did a complete inspection of both garage doors, found the problem, serviced completely both doors and within a few hours . He explained everything he did, and reprogrammed our garage openers. We were very happy with this entire process.

A $300.95 project turned out to be almost $1,400.00. Talked to a woman on the phone and she was more interested in if this were an insurance claim or if I were going to pay for it. There were all sorts of *extra* charges on the bill. I had to get another company to come in and fix the problem they were supposed to fix. I surely will not be hiring them again!

Had a broken spring. Tech was professional, answered all my questions and finished the job in about an hour or so. Straightforward with price and warranty info.

Our technician was Alec and he was so informative and really knew what he was doing. He went out of his way to answer all of our questions and made sure that we were all set and satisfied. He came the same day that we called which was a big help since our car was stuck inside the garage. We were very pleased.

A1 was very professional and charged a fair price to repair our garage door. I felt the repairman was quick and presented us with all of our options before moving forward.

the technician came in a timely fashion, and notified he was on his way. He quickly discerned the problem and resolved it. The cost was a little steep, but the peace of mind is well worth it. We will call them again if the need arises.

We had our garage door spring break on a Friday. American Home Shield couldn't get anyone to come out before the following week, so we inquired as to which Garage Door Companies would fix it as emergency, since my wife has medical conditions and needs to be able to travel. Of the two Garage Door Companies that are available 24 hours, A1 Garage Door Service LLC was the only one that could be there same evening. They got to our home to fix the broken spring so we could open the Garage around 8:00 pm.
