+ -1 moreWe had gone to 5 other shops to look at window treatments in the Metro area. We wish we had tried Rob's first. It would have saved us lot of time and travel. Ann was able to answer all of our questions and was very knowledgeable about window treatments.
Description of Work: We needed to replace a window treatment for a large window and purchase mini blinds for 3 additional windows.

+ 1 moreThere is really nothing to comment on - everything went smoothly, though the wait between placing the order and installing the treatments was two weeks longer then predicted. They were professional, knowledgeable, helpful, friendly - everything I look for in a company I want to deal with. If I ever need flooring, upholstery or window treatments again, I will go to Rob's first. I did get bids, and their price was the most competitive.

+ -1 moreI stopped at this location to see about having my love seat recovered. The service was immediate and I was given assistance in the store to look through as many upholstery books as I needed to. However, the staff discouraged me from having my work done there, because "there was a 1 year waiting list" and I might be happier finding somewhere else. There were no examples of their products in the store. I am not sure why a highly visible and advertised local company would want customers to come in the store only to send them away? Why not hire or train further upholsterers and reduce their waiting list?

Description of Work: I needed kitchen and dining room wood flooring installed. Deb did an excellent job of suggesting material and helping me plan my new floor. The wood was beautiful and the installers were very helpful in convincing me of the right direction to lay the panels. They saved me money and did an excellent job with the trim detail. I would highly recommend using them.

+ -1 moreWe needed the seat of an antique rocking chair reupholstered. The seat was black leather. The leather had worn away and the springs were exposed. We took the chair to Rob's many months ago and they said that they would likely have enough black leather left from a project they were planning to do to also complete the chair. This would save us the considerable money of having to buy an entire hide for the seat. Though there were some delays with the other project, we were in no hurry to get the chair back. We picked it up recently and they did a beautiful job! And they also charged us what they had estimated. We had used Rob's many years ago to reupholster two wing-backed chairs. They did such a good job that we thought we would try them again. We were not disapppointed. We would definitely recommend them.
