Description of Work: They took down 4 very large trees (50-75 ft) and chopped up another fallen tree. |They also performed trimming on several other trees and cleaned up a number of small dead trees. They cleaned up 3 brush piles that had accumulated over 10 years (one was approx 35'x20'x8'). They also ground down all 4 stumps and several others. Work was very good and cleanup was excellent. Nice people to work with.

Description of Work: Designed and installed a patio. Poor upfront planning, poor project management and communication. The guys installing the patio were knowledgeable and great to work with. The two owners were abysmal. I gave them my input upon making the last payment regarding how poorly issues were managed and original plan was communicated. And they took the check with no apology or any comment.

Some clients are very difficult to please. Though we put our best effort forward there are times when it's just not enough. We felt we had done everything right on this project and were astounded when the most minuscule details, which were easily resolved, were blown completely out of proportion, leading to a total communication breakdown. We tried our best on this job. The patio product that was delivered was exactly to spec, completed on time and on budget. Sometimes we receive undeserved abuse from clients. We feel this was one of those times.

Description of Work: Removed large mostly dead pine tree in my back yard. The estimate and work were accurate and they work was done as promised. There was a second crew who came to grind the stump - clean up and service completed quickly and on schedule.

Description of Work: They trimmed my oak trees and hauled away the branches. Some of the limbs were touching the roof, and they cut them back so this wouldn't happen. I was very pleased with their work and their promptness. The address that I had for this company is different from yours, but the name is the same. I hope it's the same company.

Description of Work: Cut-down one tree and trip two large maple trees. They cut th elargest branches/limbs into one-foot lengths so I could burn them in my outdoor fireplace. They neatly stacked the wood and cleaned the yard of debris.

Description of Work: I called Matt in a panic because there was a pine tree that needed to be removed before another company could come in to replace my main water line. Within 30 minutes of calling and leaving a voicemail explaining the circumstances, Matt responded and told me he'd do his best to squeeze me in, even if that meant working late. I didn't end up using Matt and his company since someone else I called earlier was able to fit me in right away, but will plan on using him in the future. He was very helpful, polite and understanding.

I received a post card in the mail that was very professional and listed a wide variety of jobs. When I called, I had to leave a message, but he got right back to me. Most of the time, Ethan answered the phone directly, which was helpful. When we connected, we set up a bid for 30 minutes after our phone call. The price seemed reasonable, and I agreed to most of the work. I asked if he needed to be paid ahead or on the day of the work and he said no, he would send an invoice. The work was done while I was out of town. It looks great, and they cleaned up all the trimmings. An invoice came in the mail later that week. I planned to pay the bill along with my other bills which I do once a month. However, I received a phone call asking whether I got the bill and if so, to please pay immediately. I would have preferred to pay the day the job was done, if I couldnt wait until my regular bill paying day. This was my only disappointment with this provider. I like to plan ahead.
Description of Work: Trimmed back several trees that were interfering with other trees. Trimmed hedges. Diagnosed my front Maple (which wasnt leafing out well) with girdling root and treated it.

I called Urban Tree Service and Ethan answered the phone directly - didn't have to leave a message! I explained to Ethan my situation and the fact that another company stood me up last weekend. Ethan understood and offered to come out the same day for an estimate. He arrived at a designated time and was on time. What I really liked about Ethan is that he took the time to really discuss my issues. We talked for at least an hour about the Willow tree, different methods for removing it from the lake, and walking around the yard discussing various trees that needed some work. He took notes, marked trees and offered advice. I was very impressed at this point. We discussed my schedule (which is very tight) and he and I arranged a day and time. His crew arrived on time and did a fantastic job. No misunderstandings about what needed to be done. Clean up was great. I am happy with Urban Tree Service and wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone. Thanks guys!
Description of Work: I had a Willow tree split - part standing, part in our lake and part on the ground. Difficult job considering a lake is involved. Also had them trim a few trees, and clean up other wild growth.

Urban had been working in my neighborhood and gave me an estimate. I also got one from an Angie's List company. Ethan called me a few weeks later and said they had a gap in their schedule and if I was interested he'd take $100 off the estimate. Their crew showed up the next day, told me exactly what they'd be doing and when they were done again explained everything. The crew was respectful of my garden and yard and removed/ chipped all the debris. You would never know they'd been here when they were done, except the trees look great.
Description of Work: Trimmed two very large, 50-year-old hackberry trees. Removed suckers, dead wood, one limb that was in contention, and trimmed back limbs that would be touching my garage roof within a couple of years.
