Replaced two outdoor faucets and added a shutoff valve

We contacted TJK Plumbing by referral from another company, which we called to clean out a pipe due to roots growing in. The first company could not locate our clean-out, so they referred us to TJK to install the clean-out as necessary. TJK was responsive to my call and quoted me a price on the phone. They called back a few minutes later to update the price after finding out more details from the first company. They arrived on time and the serviceman was very friendly and polite. Luckily, the TJK serviceman was able to locate the clean-out that the first guy missed! He didn't charge us anything for the visit. Very much appreciated!

TJ did great. Great communication, Service, Etc. Will use him again for all my plumbing needs!

Replaced the joint, did not clean up mess left behind. Asked about replacing a faucet in kitchen wanted $375.00 (cost including new faucet) Also asked about cost of replacing water softener, wanted $1000.00 for this which also included softener. Cost to replace a bathtub faucet was $500.00, again includes parts. Did not have any of this work done as it seems extremely high for amount of work required.

He is great as far as answering questions, We have had him out before to put in a bath tub, sink, and shower. He also installed a washer and dryer for us. He had to go through the basement and shut off what was down there and repipe.He can pretty much do anything. He does excellent work.

Excellent.. His price was not the lowest, nor was it the highest, but it was based on punctuality & explaining the good & bad of several systems that could have been used. We will use this company in all future plumbing needs. I would recommend him to anyone. Benn Belden

I CALLED HIM FOR AN EMERGENCY LEAK AND HE WAS THERE RIGHT AWAY.

I called TJ and left a voice message, he called me back within minutes. I explained that we bought a new refrigerator with an icemaker. We did not have that feature in our old fridge so there was no water hookup for it. A previous contractor had run some tubing from the kitchen sink to the back of the old refrigerator when doing some major restoration work after a dishwasher flood a few years earlier, but no actual plumbing was done then. We also had an upstairs toilet that had been running for months, but because of a poor design with the vanity, getting access to inside the tank was impossible. TJ was very thorough with his questions so he could best assess the situation over the phone. He asked me to look at and describe the tubing, color and size, as well as describe the situation with the vanity and toilet in the bathroom. While on the phone he gave me what he thought our options might be. We set up a day for him to come out and look at it and give a quote. We planned on the next Tuesday between 2-4. On that Tuesday, he gave a courtesy call ½ hour before coming. He was there early within the 2 hour window. After coming out to see firsthand, he then did some research on the toilet situation, what other size toilets might be available to replace our existing one, costs etc. He emailed me his ideas In the end we decided to have him try to extract the existing toilet tank, replace everything in it and then put it back together, rather than buy and install a new toilet or redo the whole vanity. We knew that it was possible that it wouldn?t work out, or that because of the layout and the age of the toilet, there might be damage to the toilet. On the day scheduled for the work he was very prompt and gave the same ½ hour courtesy call before arriving. The job with the toilet was not an easy task to say the least! However, TJ and his assistant, worked together and successfully removed the tank, replaced everything within it, and put it all back in place, without causing any damage to the tank or vanity. They even took some wipes to clean in areas that have not been accessible in years! The fridge water hook up also went very well. TJ even replaced some existing plumbing under the sink because he noticed that it was corroded and starting to leak. He did this without any additional charge to us. Finally when I went to pay, he applied an Angie?s list coupon to the bill, even though I hadn?t looked for the coupon or even knew it existed. If we need any plumbing work done in the future, I will definitely use TJK Plumbing!

Got ahold of TJ on the first try. I was very happy that he actually tried to diagnose the problem on the phone to make sure he actually needed to come out. He called 30 minutes ahead of time like he said he would and arrived on time. He diagnosed the issue, explained the issue clearly, successfully snaked the drain, doubled checked for issues, and answered all the questions I had. Very happy with the service he provided!

TJ answered my call on a Tuesday night, even though he was putting his kids to bed. He was able to come out first thing Wednesday morning. TJ was right on time. He & his partner snaked our kitchen drain, but the clog wouldn't budge. They got out the power snake, and that got the water flowing again. They replaced some corroded pipe under the sink & left everything very clean. The price was exactly what we were quoted. We couldn't have been more pleased. A week & a half after TJ came out, our drain clogged again. He came out on a Saturday morning, fixed the clog, & replaced a section of pipe in the basement. He identified the underlying problem, and didn't even charge us for the 2nd visit. Wow! We will always call TJ first with any future plimbing needs. He was amazing. I will recommend him to everyone who asks!

He arrived on time, completed the work quickly, and cleaned up after himself. His employee worked on an installation in the bathroom vanity at the same time. All work done quickly and neatly.

TJ was great--very knowledgable. We have already called him back to help with an emergency pluming issue. I would highly recommend him.

Contacted TJ to get a quote for a 3 piece bathroom rough-in in our basement. TJ was very responsive and flexible in setting up a time to quote the project. I received a quote via email within 3 days of the visit and was pleased with the detail and price. I received 3 quotes for the job, and chose TJ based off of his understanding of the work and his willingness to offer suggestions and alternate solutions to the task. I didn't end up scheduling the work for almost 6 weeks, but when I did reach back out to TJ, he was eager and willing to hold his quote after another visit to review the project. The project ended up taking a little more time than expected due to the age of our house, but TJ and his team were flexible in coordinating with my schedule to complete the work. I would recommend TJK plumbing to others and was pleased with the service.

I contacted TJ by email a couple weeks ago (weekend) about installing a new shower head and fixtures in my bathroom. I heard back from him almost immediately that he was booked for a week and his wife was expecting a baby the next week so it would be "iffy" and he didn't think he was a good fit for this job as he may have to re-schedule on me. Right there I knew this guy was a good guy! So I proceeded to find someone on the list.....that guy turned out to be disaster! I called TJ to see if baby had arrived...YES..he had. Being involved with the hospital and playing phone tag, we stayed connected. He came over 9-27 to look at my situation. He gave me 2 options,,,,replace existing fixtures with ones we had purchased or go with the one handle plate.. Our shower head was brushed nickel and he had a brushed nickel plate in his truck to show me. He took his time explaining exactly how he would approach it and what amount of tile (just re-grouted) would be taken out. I was concerned that once he was done, it would somehow ruin the look of the tile. I was so wrong! He is a very calm guy and knowing the grief I had just gone through with that previous plumber, I felt he was super nice to me. I so appreciated it! We set up the appointment for 10-3-12 and he came, with his apprentice/helper Sid and they went to work. I didn't stand around to watch but did say I would like to see what the new plumbing in the wall looked like before they covered it back up again. He came and found me to show me. Very nice and so much smaller!. Once the old fixtures were removed and the new plate/valve were to be installed, he found me again to show me. I was amazed at how little tile was involved and at how neat everything looked. He was then going to install and seal it all up. Looked so GREAT! Once it was all done, he showed me how to use the shower head and the hand held assembly and the single handle. I was so impressed! He went out to get the bill and it was $35.00 LESS because I found him on Angie's list! Another good thing! I felt that he knew exactly what I needed to have done and he listened to what I had to say. He communicated to me in language that I could understand....not plumber lingo and was so very qualified for this job. I think I have found myself a new plumber. No, I KNOW I have. Thanks TJ!

This is the 2nd job TJK has done for us. He arrived on the dot of the appointment. He performed the work quickly and efficiently. He was courteous and professional, and cleaned the work area up when he was done. The insulation was replaced in the wall, and no evidence of work being performed was visible. He inquired about the previous job (a water softener) and asked if I had any questions about the operation of it, offering to change any settings. The price was less than originally quoted. A competent, courteous and fair plumber. I absolutely recommend him, and have no intention of ever calling a different plumber.

I'm not sure if the existing pipes were original or not, but they were very old. TJ came out with an estimate and was very competitive in the pricing but was also very honest about what had to be done. It was a small bathroom and the plumbing was in a very difficult area to work on. It took longer than expected but he did an fantastic job in replacing everything and making sure it all fit within the space. He took the time to explain thing along the way and outlined any challenges that he faced and let me make the decision on what way to go. When he left for the day the workspace was clean. He was always on time and the communication was great. I'd highly recommend him for any project.

I would highly recommend this company. Their prices are reasonable, the replacement parts were great quality, and the service was excellent. Overall I was very impressed.

After many attempts to seat my toilet on a new wax ring and failing, I finally decided to call a plumber. I called around a few places and TJK Plumbing had the best price for the service. I spoke directly with TJ and he gave me a price over the phone and a time frame when he would be coming. He arrived on-time and began the work. After everything was done, they had shimmed the toilet up about 1/4", replaced the wax ring, replaced the supply line, and caulked around the toilet. TJ was very professional, honest, and they did a good job. Despite doing more that what was originally agreed on, TJ kept the price the same. I have already recommended TJK to a few other friends and will continue to do so going forward.

We noticed our ceiling leaking at about 9:00 p.m. and I called TJ and he was able to get out to our house in 20 minutes. He was very friendly. He identified the issue I had with our bathtub. He advised my what my next steps would be and since the fixing of the cracks in the bathtub was not a plumbing job, he gave me the name and number of someone who he recommended. I really liked the fact that TJ was able to respond so quickly and late at night so I didn't have to stress through the night.

Great! TJ seemed honest and friendly. He was here within a few hours of calling, and told me when he would be here. I will use him again if needed. One thing I like is that he gave me an estimate - others I called would not give me any kind of estimate until they came here.

I was very happy with them. I had a very good experience. I called them initially and asked for an estimate but the guy on the phone explained what I wanted and said that he didn?t really need to come out to do an estimate which was correct. He sent out one of his employees who was very professional and easy to work with. He did a nice job, did it quickly and efficiently, and we haven?t had any problems. I was expecting more with the price and I don?t know what it should have been but I was content with the price.

TJ was able to squeeze me into his schedule on short notice. The shower had no water pressure, but turned out to be only a minor repair and shower head replacement. The clogged kitchen sink was extensive and required work throughout the house. TJ took time to show me what was wrong and explain what he was doing. I am very pleased with the finished product! I used TJ's services once before and have found him to be trustworthy and his prices fair based on the work completed.
