Description of Work: Pacific Granite just installed granite countertops in our kitchen & bathroom. Steve in Maple Grove walked us through all the options, worked with us on the slab taping, the person measuring answered a lot of questions & made sure we were ready. The installers were very careful & when we needed to return a defective sink they rescheduled the completion of the installation the next business day. Very focused on customer satisfaction.

Description of Work: New counter tops, granite, in kitchen. Did great job. Only issue was there were 3 1" marks near cut out area of counter. Couldn't polish it out so had to leave. No discount for "marred" area. Admittedly is hard to see in most lights, but apparent when light hits it at certain angle. Very professional workers and very efficient and punctual.

I got three bids for this small project to replace a powder room formica countertop with granite. I was looking for a remnant to keep the cost low. Pacific Granite is located near my home so that was one consideration; the other was its reviews, which were good. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, and they have a lot of remnants to choose from. The pricing varies depending on the remnant, but the one I liked turned out to be very reasonable. The other two companies I visited didn't have anything I was very excited about, so it wasn't a difficult decision to go with PG. I like the way they broke the bid down so that you could see every component of the job--some companies just give a lump sum bid. I put a deposit down to hold the stone before I had seen all three vendors, but PG assured me that I could cancel the job for a full refund of the deposit up to 5 days prior to the installation date, and that was also in writing on the bid. The guy who came to measure was very careful, took the time to make sure that the sink and faucet I had purchased would fit in the space; he also suggested that the backsplash could be cut thinner to better accommodate the faucet design. The install crew arrived precisely on time, did the work quickly but carefully, and the new countertop fit perfectly. Based on the experience, I recommend this company highly.

It was not what I expected. I was told that it would be installed in one piece when I ordered it. Three days before installation, I got a call that it would have to be installed in 2 pieces. I paid 25% more than another company's estimate because they told me it could be done in one piece. When they removed the old counter top, they damaged the wall in several places. The new counter top left a gap between the mirror and back splash. The damaged wall was very apparent in the gap that was left. The seam in the middle of the counter top was also very apparent. I called and was told that they would come back out and replaced the back splash. They sent someone else out to re-measure. When they returned to re-install, they didn't have a new back splash. The only option offered was to remove the existing back splash and "flip it around". They convinced me that it would look worse if this was done. I was also concerned that they would cause more damage to the wall. In the end, I just gave up on this company. The edges are cut very rough and I still have damage to the wall and a gap between the mirror. The only positive thing I can say is that they were responsive, however they didn't follow through or fix the problems.

Generally, it went very well. They were very accommodating when the stove I bought didn't fit and they had to come back. I didn't score all "A" because the granite was thinner than the countertop they removed and they didn't shim it up to match the old height. That resulted in a gap between the countertop and the cupboards that should have been flush. Maybe that was my job? I would use them again.

We had a good experience with Pacific Granite. The cost was very competitive. They followed through on all of the dates that they had promised for measurement and installation, and showed up on time. Installation went smoothly w/o any problems, and we are very happy with the product they delivered and installed. The new granite looks Great !!

We found a beautiful selection of granite at Pacific Granite. Trevor was responsive and helpful when selecting materials. After we selected the material and scheduled the measurement things went downhill. We had the installation guides for the new sink tub, pop-up vent, and gas range on the countertop and highlighted for the measurement guy to check when doing the measurement of the countertops. My wife told me that he was on the phone while he was doing the measurements and barely looked at the installation guides even after she pointed out that there were new appliances. He got off his cell phone for long enough for her to schedule the installation for the following week. When the countertops were delivered the next week, they were over 12" short and the owner argued that we changed the cabinets. My wife explained that his installation guys were the ones that removed the previous countertop that very morning, so there was no way that the cabinets had changed. He made a few calls and had a new piece cut and installed the next day. After the countertops were installed, the installers looked at the installation guides to cut the drops for the appliances and told us that we didn't have enough room for the range and pop-up vent. They explained that even though there was room for the range in the laminate and the cabinet, they need additional material in granite to avoid cracking the thin sections in front and behind the range. I argued that this should have been brought to our attention when the measurements were done or at least before the existing countertops had been torn out and replaced. The installers were very professional and helpful, but they weren't able to help. Now we were stuck with beautiful new countertops and non-returnable appliances. I called Trevor and argued that they should have discovered that this problem when the measurements were made, but he argued that it wasn't their responsibility to make sure that my appliances fit in the countertops. After over a week of arguing this case, I ordered a new gas range and had PG install it. The owner met me at the house to discuss the final payment. In previous phone conversations he had taken the firm position that he was already losing money on this project and wouldn't budge on paying for the non-returnable appliances. I made a few calls and found that I could use the Attorney Generals office to take him to court to make up for the cost of the appliances and cost of having my kitchen out of commission for 2 weeks. The owner finally purchased my non-refundable appliances and we walked away. Overall, I would say that the materials from Pacific Granite were beautiful and they did a good quality jobon the final installation, but the process of measurements and dealing with the prolonged installation was terrible. I love my new countertop, but would not go through this headache again.

Cameron was extremely helpful and accomodating. I had no knowledge of the process and he explained it for me. Sent me to other warehouses to find the perfect granite slabs. They measured 3 times for accuracy, were on time for the installation and it went perfect. Fabrication was done at Pacific and the granite seams and layout was also beautiful. Was very pleased with their service.

My wife and I went to Pacific Granite after visiting other vendors. They were recommended by a professional home re-decoration specialist. Cam was very helpful in our initial interaction and patiently walked us through selection and logistical planning for installation. This project was an upgrade to replace 20 year old formica counters in our kitchen. The 3 man crew arrived within the time window we had agreed upon and immediately began work. Each worker knew his role in removal, surface preparation and installation. I was impressed with their speed and efficiency. The job was completed well within the 4 hour time frame we were given. One issue with an incorrectly measured back splash prevented them from completing job which meant one worker had to return early the next morning to complete the work. Our overall experience with Pacific was very positive from beginning to end. I highly recommend this company for their professionalism and excellent work. The kitchen looks amazing... what a difference granite makes!

Overall, great experience. The manager was nice enough to trim the backsplash pieces for free. While I waited, he also answered questions about stain removal on an existing vanity top I have and answered my questions on the different varieties of granite they had on display (They have like 40+ colors just on display). I wish I would have checked out this shop prior to purchasing the vanity from Menards because I could have gotten a better vanity top, in the color I wanted, for the same prices. I will be going back for my next bathroom remodel.
Description of Work: When I installed a vanity counter top, I noticed that I need the backsplash pieces cut to fit the back and side correctly. I calculated the measurements and brought them to the shop to inquire about the cost of getting them trimmed.

Ordering Process: We dealt with Curt Pierce of Pacific Granite of Maple Grove, Minnesota. Curt was cureous and patient in guiding us thru the entire process from start to finish. Very nice job!!! Final Measuring: The owner of Pacific Granite came out himself to do the final measuring and was spot on with all measurements. Fabrication: Since we wanted to pick out our own sink, I had to drive accross town to Pacific Granite's Eagan location to drop of the sink we purchased for the fabrication process. I work in an office close by, so this was okay. It would have been a huge inconvenience if I didn't have other business in that part of town. Installation: The two installers had three installations on the day our granite was installed, and we were the last installation of the day. Their first two installations were "underestimated" in terms of time, and consequently they showed up six hours (8:30 p.m.) earlier than our original planned install time of 2:30 p.m. Service and Support: We are in need of a few "touch ups" of very pin point holes that were left in the granite after fabrication process. Trying to get someone out to put in the rosin patch that is used for these repairs has been a disaster - all due to one person who works for Pacific Granite in Eagan - Trevor. He is terrible at follow-thru and decided for himself that our very minor service repair required their top guy who was out of the country on an extended leave. As a result, I had to sit in an information vacuum for weeks with no follow-up. I ended up dealing with Curt our original salesman and Larry at Eagan to get a scheduled date to have this repair done. I recommend avoiding Trevor in your business dealings with Pacific Granite at all costs - save yourself the aggravation! As a reuslt of Trevor very poor customer service and communication, I am lowering the overall grade I am giving Pacific Granite from an "A" to a "B". Impressions of Finished Product: Despite a couple of minor imperfections in the granite - we absolutely love our new countertop and we know we will be cherishing it for a very, very long time! See the pictures I will post with my report.
Description of Work: We had 65 square feet of granite fabricated, delivered and installed into the kitchen of our 11 year old home. The granite we chose is Mari Blue, which was sourced by Pacific Granite by Cold Spring Granite Eagan and Maple Grove, Minnesota.

They had a good selection, but the installer they used did not know what they are doing which ruined the granite and now I am finding it hard to have them rectify it. I have been trying to get hold of them from a week. I will never use them again in the future.

Pacific Granite was the third stone business I visited after the one I contracted closed its business before my installation date. Trevor and his staff at the office were welcoming and knowledgable, and gave me an accurate estimate quickly. I was amazed to hear that my order was 35-40% less expensive than the one from the one I originally chose, including the under mount sink cut out, 4" backsplash and installation. They include a free sink, but since I already had one Trevor knocked $100 off the bill. The installation crew was courteous and quick, my countertops were small, but tricky and they handled everything easily. They made straight cuts by hand on-site, and drilled a spot-on faucet hole after accidentally removing the marking tape during installation. That's the long way around to say save yourself some time and frustration and just use these guys. I wish I could post a picture here, everything looks incredible.

Everything turned out be very well. It is still the stone and product is great; but they did a very nice job. When we went into the location and dealt with the folks there, we got lot of attention. The information that we were given was all accurate. The quotes were detailed. I setup the call to tell what we will be going with. We told that we would like to get the appointment setup to measure. They told we will be getting phone call within next day and I got the phone call within 10 minutes to get that scheduled. When the individual came out to measure, he asked all the questions to make sure that he understood exactly what we are looking for; whether it was an angle here we want to keep or we want to add anything to it. We already had in place that we were placing the stone in. When they came in to install, we just look at the fact that the two guys who did that were very conscientious. They were concerned about making sure that the work place is clean. It was a little bit different install that we had previously; so they were very cautious just to make sure they didn't damage any of the surrounding materials that we left in place. The installer was great and they did a really nice job. We have a huge center island and they had to put 700 pound stone slab in place. There were two of them to carry it and they were great. They always called back very quickly and that's the actual part why they got the job.

I found this company through word of mouth at work, where this company came highly recommended. I had gotten 2 other estimates for the tear out and replacement of my countertops in kitchen and main bath. I met with the manager of the Eagan location Mike. He educated me completely on everything I would need to know if I choose granite. He offered me the best price I could find anywhere and the installers were excellent. They arrived on time and did a beatiful job. MIke also added the bathroom sink and countertop as a bonus. Mike stands by his word and I felt comfortable working with him from the minute we met. I highly recommend anyone who is thinking of a granite remodel to get an estimate from Pacific Granite. I am a very happy Angie's List Customer.
