Mountain Duct Cleaning

The consultation was very helpful; we were advised his services would not be useful/required for our situation, but nevertheless received a lot of valuable information.

Our dryer had blown a fuse due to overheating from a blocked vent. We called Mountain Duct Cleaning and Matt was here on time and set right to work. Our confirming e-mail had explained that social distancing protocols would be followed and that set our minds at ease, during this Covid-19 outbreak. It turned out that the vent pipe had tipped over in our attic and was venting into the insulation. Matt fixed the problem, cleaned the vent, and was very kind and professional throughout.

The service was excellent. Not only was the vent plugged it was also disconnected from the roof vent. He reconnected the vent and found the problem in the elbow turn in the attic. Even though extra work was involved the price remained the same as quoted. He was right on time and cleaned up when finished.

We had an excellent experience, from the call with Matt setting up the job, to the email reminder with photos of the workers who would come to our house, to the 4-hour cleaning job by Rick and Ty. Rick and Ty started with a tour of our mechanical system and every vent and return, to put together a quote for cost. It was a pretty big job, and the approach to pricing was very reasonable. They were good about explaining what they would do, worked hard, were respectful in our house, and cleaned up well.

From time I contacted Mountain Duct Cleaning until job was completed the process went very smoothly. Our vent was dreadfully clogged; they cleared out all the lint. The 27-year-old dryer was shot (probably blew out the fan), and we have since installed new washer and dryer. Mountain Duct Cleaning was very professional, and they gave us good advice on how to prevent dryer vent issues in future. We plan to use these folks again, for regular dryer vent cleaning.

Matt responded to me immediately saying the ducts could be cleaned during the remodel. When the professional arrived he was skeptical given the huge scope of our remodel, but we agreed together to do it not and maybe also after the project. The professional (I believe him name was Lucas) was kind, cheerful, efficient, professional and just plain lovely. This was all after I had to cancel them already once on a Sunday for a Monday with well less than 24 hours. There were so kind and flexible! They also took “before” and “after” photos of the ducts for us. I can’t reconnect Mountain Duct Cleaning enough!

I submitted a request for a quote to clean the (roof mounted) dryer vent at my Prior Lake townhome to several local contractors, including Mountain Duct Cleaning. I found that this company has been receiving very favorable reviews on Angie's List and Google. I received a prompt phone call from owner Matt Mountain. He quoted the very attractive price of $105, less 10% senior discount - and was able to send a technician out to my home later that same day. Then, as promised, Lucas (the technician) called to let me know his estimated time of arrival. Lucas is a very pleasant and enthusiastic young man who conducted himself in an efficient and professional manner. He showed me before and after cleaning photos of the dryer vent ductwork that he took while he was on the roof. He also gave me some tips on how I might modify the existing ductwork behind the dryer to improve airflow efficiency. During my conversation with Matt, I learned that he presently works with a number of Homeowner's Associations (HOA) in the Twin Cities and that he can offer these associations group discounts for his services. I'm very pleased with the service I received from Mountain Duct Cleaning. They have earned my future business and I highly recommend them without any reservation.

Wow ....... Mountain Air Duct Cleaning came to my home, looked at my ductwork in multiple locations, checked out the furnace filter and humidifier filter, even cleaned out a couple of minor things. They then told me that I really didn't need my ducts cleaned at this time, and showed me pictures of my ducts to back up their opinion. They offered information about an add-on item that they could sell me to help combat my allergies -- but didn't want to sell it to me. Instead, they suggested that I speak with my allergist about it first, to see if she thought it would be useful for my particular situation. After sharing their expertise and spending an hour with me, I prepared to write them a check -- only to be told that there was no charge because they "hadn't done anything!" And thus, they have an enthusiastic referral, and a new lifetime customer who will proactively spread the word. Honesty and integrity -- listen up, business owners, it will ALWAYS pay off in the end!

Owner Matt provided a prompt estimate after my inquiry went to three service providers. I selected Mountain Duct Cleaning based on price and prompt response. A service appointment was arranged, but we had to reschedule due to extreme cold weather. Communication from Matt along the whole process was prompt and helpful. On the rescheduled appointment date, Matt showed up on time (having first called to confirm his arrival time). The work was done efficiently. All went very well. I would definitely hire Mountain Duct Cleaning again!

He worked quickly, got everything cleared out, gave us recommendation on a better vent cover for the outside opening. Charge was reasonable, and was lower than other bids we had received. We were very pleased with the service and would hire again!
