Mountain Duct Cleaning

Work was completed quickly and efficiently.

Did this through special on Angies List. I always worry about there being a fire hazard with the dryer. I thought that they would clean out the dryer inside and out to the end of the hose outside but I think they just did the part from outside to the dryer. Not sure that it was worth the money for a five minute job? The guys were friendly.

They were on time, completed the the cleaning, were friendly and pleasant.

He was on time and very professional, telling me how he would perform the job. He proceeded to examine all parts of the system. As we looked at the ducts, he repaired a leaky humidifier that is attached to the furnace. He cleans ducts and was qualified to do that job. But it was not something that was part of this job nor was it something I asked him to do. He just volunteered to fix it and did. (It has not leaked since!) After looking at the dryer and ducts/vents he proceeded to blow all the lint stuck in the duct. Everything was cleaned and he left. His equipment was clean and in good condition. He was in uniform. He was also proud of his firm and the work he did. He suggested other services (duct cleaning) and I would certainly use him again.

Once complete, our dryer vent duct was completely rid of lint.

Service provider looked over the situation then promptly and quickly cleaned the vent. The vent runs from one room and under another before venting to the outside. Dryer is working much better.

I thought it went really well and would recommend Mountain Duct Cleaning. The gentleman knew what he was doing, and he walked me through the entire process. There was a snafu where my thermostat wiring wasn't super tight and came loose during the cleaning, but he was able to find a new fuse and rewired it back up for me (it was my fault - I didn't put any strain relief on my thermostat EIM wires when I installed it). Anyway, that's a lot of extraneous words to say they priced fairly, did a great job, and were very professional through the whole process. I wouldn't even inquire with others.

Matt was very responsive, puncutal and professional. Was very pleased with his work. He saw that the metal duct had fallen apart and that the dryer was venting into the laundry room. He reassembled and taped at the seams. Work was done quickly and without any issues. Would definitely use him again and recommend him.

They did a great job, finding a ball of crud that could very well have caught fire at some point. Great work, guys!

Once the service person arrived, the work was done well and quickly. This was a dryer duct cleaning and I do have a very short space from the dryer itself to the outside vent, so this was definitely on the easy side. The person doing the work was very professional and seemed knowledgeable. He also did a nice job of explaining to me what her found. With the Angie's list deal price of $59.00 for a full dryer duct cleaning, it was a good value. They provide two hour windows during which the service person will arrive. If you want to be done on the sooner end, make your appointment for a day when you can get an early morning time. Mine was mid-late afternoon, which in reality turned out to be at the very end of the two-hour window so all combined, it was alot of time out of work for me.

It went well, he called prior to arrival as requested, and called again when he became detained 10-15 minutes in traffic...after arriving though he got right to work and performed admirably and we would not hesitate to use Matt again...

They were fast and efficient, finding the problem (Disconnected duct in the ceiling) after some tests were run.

I don't really know how it went as he was done so quickly.

We are moving into a new home where at least one of the sellers is a smoker. Concerned about the lingering smell and allergies, we decided to have the ducts cleaned before getting settled. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed that the technician, Rick, would drive all the way to our house (in order to actually perform work, not just provide an estimate) and after taking a look at our system, admitted that it looked like the ducts had been cleaned recently enough (and as far as he could tell, services had been performed properly) that we might want to reconsider and avoid unnecessary cost. We decided to hold off for now. We always appreciate the opportunity to save money! We will definitely consider Mountain Duct Cleaning in the future, should our needs change.

We have a dryer vent which is unusually long, and has turns in it. We had it cleaned by another company about 11 months ago. Our dryer is new, and was installed shortly before the duct was cleaned. It was not drying the clothes well at that time, usually having to run the dryer twice to have the clothes dry. Recently, we found that the vent was clogged by checking the outlet. We called Mountain Duct Cleaning this time. He came on schedule, but we did receive a call that he could come earlier, but the time did not work for us. He found more than anticipated problems, but succeeded in cleaning the vent. We now have our clothes dry with one dryer cycle usually, saving time and electricity. I will call this company again when there are signs the dryer vent plugging.

My experience with Mountain Duct Cleaning was fine. There were two of them and they cleaned it out and gave me a couple of tips and that was it. They weren't here very long at all. It was simple and it was one phone call and they came and did it.

The job went fine from what I could tell as far as the work done. The service person did tell me that the vent wasn't too bad. I appreciated knowing that information and the honesty. No push for sales of other services which was a breath of fresh air. The only two things I would do different using any company is to ask if there is a benefit to using a brush tool over a beater tool as I would think that would do a bit better job, and to verify how far back or down the tool actually goes. I would have liked to have seen the first elbow coming out from the dryer removed to verify that was clear. I noticed a slight decrease in drying time, and a large increase in the sound of air coming out of the vent outside. I would use this company again.

I first spoke with Matt on the phone at the end of September. He suggested that he could give a more accurate (and free) estimate by coming out to look at the job. He was very punctual and informative, even providing a brochure that outlined his cleaning process We walked through the house, counting vents, and discussing his company's process for duct cleaning. Mountain Duct Cleaning is licensed with the NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaners Association) and Matt himself is ASCS certified. We scheduled the cleaning for the following week. On the morning scheduled, Matt again arrived on time, and began work immediately. He attached the vacuum system to the main intake duct, and then began systematically working through the house from the top down. All vents were covered so that dust would not blow back into the house. I did not have a single bit of clean up to do after the job was finished. Matt used rotary brushes and air whips to agitate the debris inside the ducts, and then followed that with a high pressured "airwash" to move the debris down to the collection system. The dryer vent was also cleaned out, and believe me, after years of laundry with four teenagers, that took some doing :) The whole job took nearly 5 hours and stuck to the original estimate with no "up selling", surprise fees, or additional "work needed". Overall, I feel that Matt was very up front and honest about the whole process, and I would highly recommend using Mountain Duct Cleaning if you want top notch service, up front pricing, quality work, and a professional job done.
