Mountain Duct Cleaning

I believe they did the typical work for this kind of project and all went fine. Dryer performance improved slightly. I think if they had educated us better about what they COULD do considering the snow, we would have a better idea if their services met our needs. Just a suggestion.

They came to clean out my dryer vent. The man went to my laundry room to look at it from inside and then vacuumed it from the outside vent. He said everything looked good and was honest in assessing how often I should have this checked. My vent pipes travel only a short, straight distance to the outside, so shouldn't need the more frequent maintenance of a vent with a longer or less straightforward layout. Good experience. I will call again in a couple of years.

They were on time. I can't climb on the roof to let you know about the quality of the work, but it seemed everything went as planned. I might use them again.

Prior owners of our home had two cats and the majority of vent covers had been painted "shut." Simply going through the time-consuming process of freeing all the register covers in our home from the layers of paint that had been liberally applied by previous owners indicated to us that it had been a while since the ducts were last cleaned. Once covers were off a few of the returns were pretty well caked in cat fur, dust and grime. In all, we have short of 20 access points for air vents -- some were substantially dirtier than others. Note: if you own an older home with plaster walls, some of that plaster may have become loose behind the register covers and will require pre-cleaning when removing those covers. We ended up doing a fair bit of vacuuming and picking up pieces of plaster the night before our appointment with Mountain. The Mountain team arrived on time and completed the work within a couple of hours. There were two technicians who came to execute the job. Over the phone, when setting up an appointment, they took time to describe their method and address questions regarding thoroughness of this method. If we were to gripe about anything it would be that a few of the areas around the duct exit points throughout the house had small amounts of a fine silt/dust that was left on the floors. Not a big deal and we recognize that their primary job is cleaning the ducts themselves. On that point, we were pleased with Mountain's quality of service and will re-hire them for future duct cleaning.

I have a lengthy dryer vent path that snakes out of the house and through garage ceiling. At the time I purchased the house I realized the twists and turns as well as length of vent may prove a problem. Mountain Duct arrived and found significant build up of lint. The lint had become damp as had the insulation due to severe storms we had recently experienced. The service technician went back to his business to get new insulation and not only removed the lint but reinsulated the vent. He did indicate that we should consider re-routing the vent so that there aren't as many turns or as lengthy a distance. I couldn't agree more. Due to scheduled vacations we did not undertake any changes at this time, but I will certainly call Mountain Duct when the time comes. He did not charge us extra for the unforseen issues and was great to deal with. We were very pleased and I will use again.

Mountain Duct responded quickly after I bought the coupon. They were out to clean out the vent within one or two business days. Our dryer vent is particularly long and has a tendency to clog. It can be a lot of work to clean it out. Mountain Duct had two men work the job, and they cleaned from both the inside and outside ends of the duct. I checked on them a couple of times and I could see that they had removed a significant amount of lint from the vent. I'd definitely use these guys again.

Very well. He introduced himself (can not remember the name), was on time and very efficient. He and his partner cleaned all four of the units in our building for the same $60 price each. Our runs are only about 25 feet each.

I am very pleased with Matt's service. He was able to schedule me easily for the work to be done. He kept in contact with me when he ran into road closures and was a tiny bit late. He did an excellent job.

The company used something like a big vacuum cleaner to clear out the duct running from my dryer out of the house, which they did from outside the house, without having to dismantle the vent. They also went in and inspected the dryer to make sure there were no other blockages or issues. The dryer vent was blocked primarily due to mesh that my animal control provider had put in the vent to keep critters out of the house. They took that off and replaced it with a more "dryer vent-friendly" plastic cover to keep animals out, with no extra charge. They were a few minutes late, but very efficient, pleasant, helpful, and quick. The supervisor was there to inspect and write up the bill in addition to the technician.

We have a roof vent and they went on the roof (no extra charge) and cleaned very thoroughly. We have had other companies who didn't go on the roof or did charge extra.

The work was scheduled, and service was prompt, and thorough. Cleanup was done in the back to pick up stray clogs of lint. Overall, a very good experience.

They arrived on time and went straight to work. They disconnected the dryer from the vent tube and ran their equipment through it. It took about 35 minutes. They were professional and pleasant.

I had just purchased a home the summer of 2012 and wanted to make sure my appliances were all in safe working order so purchased this Deal online. I forget how much the actual price was but believe it was around $70. I scheduled them to have someone come out to my home to clean my dryer vent and they had one of their service men call me back to schedule the actual day and time. The gentleman I spoke with lived nearby and was willing to stop by my house first thing in the morning so as not to make me wait throughout the day. He showed up promptly at 8am on the date we agreed on. He checked my dryer inside the house and inspected the vent from the outside. He hooked up the machine that is inside their van and cleaned out my dryer vent and was done within about 15 minutes.

Service was exceptionally good. We have an extended dryer vent run, there is a booster fan half way through vent. Matt came out and found the connection with the fan and the vent broke and became disconnected. Instead of charging me more, he took a vacuum cleaner. He did the best he could and went up in the ceiling and vacuumed the area. He then repaired the pipe as well. Great service. Will use in the future.
