Val was great to work with. This was the first substantial work that I had been done to my first home, so I knew very little going in. Val took time to answer all of my questions and provide ideas. We went back and forth on what I want I wanted done and what I could fit in my budget. He was always able to provide new estimates as we planned. Val and Tim were great to have in the house. Very polite and friendly, always completely cleaning up at the end of the day. The work turned out perfect. You can tell that Val uses quality materials and has an eye for detail in the tile work. The floor is perfectly level, to grout lines are perfect. He explained everything as we went and was sure to give me adequate time to research and make decisions prior to him needing them on things like grout color. The price was very reasonable and they even accept credit cards. After the bathroom was complete, I was doing some work to the wood trim in the bathroom and accidentally pulled out some of the grout. When I emailed Val to ask about the type of grout he used, he offered to stop by when he's in the area to touch it up. Amazing. This work was so effortless and affordable, I've already started thinking about doing a backsplash in my kitchen.

The project went great. We communicated with Val to set up the project. John and Serge did the actual work. They were all incredibly responsive and punctual . They did very high quality work and the shower looks beautiful. You can tell they paid a lot of attention to detail and didn't take short cuts. They were done in five days. They always communicated with us each day about when they would start their work and when they thought they would finish by. We were short one piece of tile for our shower curb and they were willing to go pick it up for us, which saved us the hassle. They were willing to come out and do a few touch up things and seal our tile after they finished. When we were getting our shower door installed they were willing to rearrange their schedule to be their so that they could assist with any tile notching/adjustments that might be needed to get the door installed well. They were always professional and courteous and we'd definitely work with them again!

Val and his team are not only professionals, they are impressive in every way when it came to hiring them to remodel our Master Bath. My husband and I are now coming to the end of a long process of remodeling the entirety of a 1965 colonial in Plymouth. The task was WAY greater than we expected ()isn't it always) and we have come upon one heartache after another with finding good craftsman to help with the painstaking process. Enter AtoZ tile and Stone.... We did a quick search on Angies after being fed up with tradesmen not showing up, showing up late and not even doing a clean and consistent job. Val answered the phone and immediately had time to meet with us to go over our needs with the bath remodel. After receiving 4 bids, Vals combination of personality and fair quote made him the only choice we felt we should make. We were not disappointed! My husband and I travel quite a bit, and are not always in town, Vals communication and ability to convey what was going on in the house when we were not there was stellar to say the least. They even had a HUGE setback due to an unforeseen permit problem with the city. This held them up and put a serious kink in their schedule. That was NO PROBLEM for Ato Z. Val rearranged his schedule to get us on track when the city final decided to allow us to move forward. They were simply amazing from start to finish!!!!! Val and his ENTIRE team will be our number one pick to call back when we remodel our basement and final get the guts to re-remodel anything in the future! These guys are just top notch! you will not be sorry you hired them!!

We had a very good experience with Val and his brother John - they were very responsive to all of our questions, were very focused on doing a quality job and made suggestions that resulted in a good outcome for our project. They were very polite and always cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely work with them again.

Val and his team were punctual and professional. They did an excellent job of installing all the tile for a brand new shower stall in a new downstairs bathroom. They even accommodated a slight design change in the stall when I wanted to add an accent border at eye level.

This is the second job A to Z did for us. We are totally pleased. Last month, after getting their name off Angie's List, we had them install a new tub, tile the walls around it, and replace the plumbing in our upstairs bath. We were so impressed with how he blended the new tile into the existing, we decided to have them do the downstairs bath as well. They started on Monday as scheduled, and were done by Friday, as promised, and they took the initiative to move an open water pipe coming down from the ceiling, and place it into a wall, hiding it. They then finished the drywall around it so all I have to do is paint - a very pleasant surprise. They did the whole bathroom and shower, and are coming back to do a matching custom vanity top to match the accent stripe when the cabinet maker is done. Val's tile skill is excellent - the corners are mitered flawlessly, the tile is straight and grouted to perfection, and they cleaned up after themselves. Both of my neighbors thought it was the best part of the major remodel project being done to the house, upstairs and down. The contractor who is doing the remodel work on the rest of the house was so impressed he asked A to Z to do some work for them too. We recommend A to Z without reservation.

Val gave us a date that they would start the project and estimated it would take the better part of two days. They showed up on the day they said they would and completed the work the next day. They re-grouted and siliconed areas on the wall as well as the floor. The shower looked almost new when they finished. John and Surge were prompt, polite and professional. They respected our home and cleaned their work area upon completion. The whole experience was an easy satisfying process.

The job went very well. The original estimate said that the whole job would take two days but the 2 guys doing the work stayed focused and were able to complete the work in just one day. Thanks!

This was the third bathroom I have had tiled, each by a different company, and A to Z was noticeably the best contractor of the three. Val was straightforward, kept appointments, called whenever there was a question, and his work was perfect. The work area was spotless when he left, too. Finally, his bid was very competitive. He will be doing our big bath remodel next month.

Val was very responsive and put together a quote quickly for me. His team was able to get started one week later and finshed the job on time with very good results. I highly recommend them.

Val came over and looked at our bathroom and gave us an estimate. The job was easily scheduled into the time frame we needed. John and Sergey did the actual work. They had to come all the way from Ramsey (to Eden Prairie) and the first day they had some difficulty getting a replacement bathtub and called to say they would be 30 minutes late. No problem. As for the bathtub, I thought we 'needed' one, but John said he didn't think we really needed to replace it since it is iron, much better than the ones they make now. He cleaned it, no charge, and it looks as good as new. I really appreciated the $800 savings! From the beginning until the end of the project they were professional and courteous. I also wanted to add that even when finishing the job (which had been a long day for John), he vacuumed up the little bit of drywall dust and what not outside on the porch. It didn't even look like we had had a crew there for 2 days. When it works for us, we will have our downstairs bathroom done too. They are a great company!

Went really well! I am very pleased with the job! The bathroom is beautiful now! Val and his team were professional, friendly, and pleasant to have around. He communicates well, and explains options clearly and always asks what I want if there are options to how to it will look or function and was conscience of helping keep costs down and including costs along with the options. We started on the exact date he scheduled and finished exactly when he predicted he would. Showed up when he said or called ahead if ever any changes so I never had to wait around. They keep the area cleaned up during the whole time as well. I would love to hire them again! .

Val and his team are a homeowners remodeling dream come true! Nothing to worry about here. They arrived promptly everyday and were very professional and knowledgable about what had to be done. He told me each day what they hoped to accomplish, and he was right on the mark! Val did wonders with our bathroom...he did an amazing job laying the tile and it looks absolutely lovely! We absolutely love our new bathroom! Val was incredibly responsive throughout the bid and construction processes. He and his colleague completed the project in four days and the quality is exceptional. We really appreciated that he asked for input and approval on each phase of the project, including small details, such as the tint of the grout. He was also quick to answer our questions throughout the process. We made some changes to the original plan and he was very responsive and gave us an estimated cost for each change. The final cost was exactly what we expected based on our original bid and the additional requests we made. For the project, we purchased the tile, toilet, vanity, and paint and Val purchased the bathtub. During the project, Val repaired our damaged sub-floor, but he believed that the floorboards underneath were weak, so he suggested that we install a steel bathtub instead of the acrylic tub we originally planned. We appreciated his recommendation and his thorough explanation about why he was making this suggestion. Val also picked up all of the tile we purchased and some additional pieces that we hadn't accounted for in our original purchase (e.g., additional bullnose tile and tile for the baseboards). We would absolutely recommend Val and we are excited to work with him again in the future.

I have used this provider before. I did get one other estimate and it was the same as A to Z Called Val at A to Z Tile and Stone for an estimate on installilng kitchen backsplash (we had already removed the old one) and removing and replacing the entry tile. He was able to give me an estimate via text after I sent him photos of both areas. We ordered the tile and had it on premises. Val gave me dates they would be able to do the work. He called the week before and asked if it was possible to move it up a day which was actually better for me. John and Serge arrived the morning of the 18th and both areas of tile were installed before they left late afternoon. They came back the next morning and had the job completed before 1:00. Not only do the back splash and entry took fantastic - it was very easy to have John and Serge in my home. They are just good people. It is nice to know them.

I actually used A to Z a few years ago when they tiled our kitchen and downstairs bathroom. I was really impressed so I decided to use them again. First of all, they are always on time. I don't want to even think about how many hours I've spent waiting for contractors that are late. So it's pretty refreshing that A to Z is punctual. They put down cement board, poured self leveler (my house is old and crooked) tiled and grouted 80 sq/ft of floor. They also completely built a walk in shower. The whole thing, floor, walls, ceiling a curb and a niche. It took them a little over 4 days to complete. The work is impeccable. also they are clean and I feel totally comfortable with leaving them alone in the house.

We cannot describe adequately the craftsmanship that A to Z Tile and Stone is capable of, and we would recommend them to anyone!! We hired A to Z Tile and Stone due to the excellent ratings on Angie's List, and we were not disappointed. We have never seen tile work this well done before!! It is absolutely perfect, down to the last detail, just beautiful!! We gave Val some obstacles in the project, and he totally came through for us. He is a businessman of highest honesty, integrity and skill. If you want tile work done expertly, perfectly, quickly, and very reasonably priced then you will want to call A to Z Tile and Stone. We are SO glad we did, and simply cannot recommend them highly enough!!

This is one of the best companies I have ever worked with. They were very professional from the first conversation to the onsite work. Great communication, great prices, very high quality work, and just plain easy to work with. I'd highly recommend A to Z to anyone. Val and team are amazing.

This is a small business with customer focus. We were pleased with their responsiveness throughout the process. The pricing was good relative to other quotes we had. Their quote included labor and installation materials, I had to shop to find and buy the tile, tub, and toilet. I got a good discount using Val's name on the tile. The demolition and install was done in a week. The quality of the tile installation is excellent. I had to do the general contracting work like pulling city permits (if needed, call your city), buying plumbing fixtures, etc. also if you use them as part of a larger remodel like we did, you will likely have to do some muddling, sanding, and painting of wall areas around the tile work that is not part of their scope. I would hire them again to do any tile work in my home because of the quality I got for the price and they were very trustworthy.

I've delayed writing this review because I knew it would take some time. Val and his crew completed their work beyond my highest expectations so I wanted to be sure I covered all the details. I ordered almost everything online which meant they arrived to find a pile of boxes in my living room and a crated tub in my garage. The crew patiently went thru all the materials and instructions with little to no resources to draw upon. They conferred with me whenever they had questions or I had options to consider. I noted in the description of their work that they gutted/recreated my entire bathroom. In more detail, they installed a 5' long free-standing claw-foot tub, a ceiling-mounted shower ring and exterior Victorian-type plumbing with a lot of shut-off/diverter valves, little of which Val had done before. After removing the existing vanity, they discovered the plumbing was inadequate and poorly installed. They quickly considered the options and cut an access panel in an adjacent bedroom closet and were able to correct the problem without a hitch. My bathroom is about 7x7' and many times there were 3 men in there together, somehow coordinating and working at full capacity to get the job done - all day in a poorly ventilated room in the middle of summer. Of course, there was some shouting above the sound of power tools, but everyone maintained their sense of humor and focus. Perhaps it's needless to say because they are a floor and tiling company by name, but the tile and flooring installation is flawless. The most important thing I want to note is that Val and his crew were devoted to their craft, committed to our communication (both during the construction and before/afterward - invoices, vendor issues, additional requests) and extremely easy to work with. I would hire them again without hesitation.

I would highly recommend Val. I am beyond pleased with the work and they were a pleasure to work with. It was very simple- Val came out gave an estimate, we chose a date, I had to push it back because my tile did not come in. We rescheduled. He was done in 3 days and the product was beautiful. I felt very comfortable with his crew in my house. I think the price also is very reasonable for the quality. So glad I chose A to Z Tile!!!

The installers were personable, prompt and did a great job. The job was done in exactly the time frame indicated. One of the installers wanted to finish the point where the tile met the carpet with a flourish, so he drove to Home Depot, picked up the material to do it, and installed it, all at no additional cost. The cost of the whole job was less than I had anticipated. I highly recommend A to Z tile.
