Owner and crew were timely, efficient, clean and did an excellent job.

The end result was perfect- it looks beautiful. The tile installers were prompt and punctual. They put down a drop cloth from the door to the kitchen. When they left in the evening everything was cleaned up. The installers were communicative, respectful of our home, and friendly. I would recommend this company without hesitation.

Water was leaking out from our shower to the ceiling of the floor below. I signed up for Angie's List in a state of semi-panic, and called A to Z Tile solely on the basis of its many glowing reviews on Angie's List. Val's responsiveness, knowledge, and high quality of work fully support those glowing reviews. He was responsive to my phone calls and emails in setting up a time to come over and repair our bathtub/shower. Val quickly diagnosed the issue, quoted a fair price, and took care of the problem with one of his colleagues over the course of half a morning. The problem was completely fixed, and our shower now looks much better than it did before. The possibility of water damage in our home made me very nervous; Val's experience and knowledge made him the perfect person for the job. I will retain him for future projects, and I encourage readers to seriously consider doing the same.

A to Z was great to work with. Serge, who was leading the project, is professional, kind and extremely helpful. This was the second time they have done work, both times they did a very good job. They were also extremely flexible with scheduling.

The backer board for the bottom 2 rows of ceramic tile above our bath room tub had received some water damage over the years, and needed to be repaired. We started the project ourselves, with help from family, by removing the 2 rows of tile and the damaged backer board and installing new "cement" type backer board. Because we have no experience setting and grouting tile, we contacted A to Z Tile & Stone. Val (the owner) didn't hesitate to offer to stop by to see what work remained, discuss our needs, and to offer a quote if he could. He arrived promptly on a Wednesday, reviewed the work we had done, listened to our ideas, and made a very reasonable quote for finishing the project. We accepted the quote and expressed our desire to have the work done as soon as possible. Val said he would have a crew do the job in one day on Friday, 2 days hence. Val's crew arrived at the scheduled time and went right to work. They put down drop cloths from the front door all the way into the bath room. They were polite, courteous, and professional in every way, and finished the job in less than a full day. From start to finish, our experience with A to Z Tile & Stone was a pleasure!

It went incredibly well. Val's crew did a fantastic job over three days. Some people suggested having a handyman do this projectfor less but I am very glad I went with A to Z. It was clear they do a lot of these and do them very well. Also, the sink near the tub started leaking during the job. It was clearly in bad shape and not the fault of the workers. Regardless, they went the extra mile to repair the trap and tighten up the water supply. This was one of the best experiences I have had with a contractor in a long time.

True to their slogan?.my vision indeed became reality! We decided to remove our existing tub/shower in our upstairs bath and replace it with a roll-in shower that could be easily accessed with or without a wheelchair or walker. During a hospital stay, we saw the type of shower we wanted and took some pictures to use as a starting point. I found A to Z Tile on Angie?s List and was very impressed by the large number of positive reviews and years of experience. We placed a call and Val (the owner) got back to us the next day and made an appointment to come over and see our bathroom and look at our pictures. A detailed estimate showing work to be done and a time estimate of 5-6 days was provided via email promptly. I felt the price was very fair since it included the tile, plumbing, shower seat and fixtures. Warning ? A to Z is pretty busy and if your tile needs to be special ordered it can be several weeks before they can start. Because of the complexity of this job, I chose to wait and am glad I did. Once we set a date, Val had me send some pictures of showers I liked and sent me to go pick out the tile. I visited The Tile Shop in C*** Rapids and enjoyed working with ?Chub? who helped me pick a floor tile that was going to work with the roll over ?speed bump? that was going in at the edge of the shower floor and then helped me pick wall tile and edging. I used a faux wood/stone floor tile on the shower walls and used a mosaic type tile on the floor and as an accent stripe vertically up the wall that the showerhead and handle are on. Tip ? floor tile can be used on walls but wall tile should not be used on floors. From demolition to finishing touches, the project took 6 and a half days (the half day was for some finishing touches like installing a shower seat and grab bars). Some of the time was spent waiting for things to dry before the next step could proceed so we didn?t need to be around for a full day each day. Val is very organized and always communicated what time they would be there, what would get done that day and what to expect every step of the way. Val was very respectful of our wishes and decisions but offered expert advice all along the way as well. Val is an artist with a good eye for the design features and use of the space as well as a very skilled craftsman who was easy to work with. I would also like to recognize Val?s crew: Tim, Sergey, and Dmitriy. These guys worked just as hard when Val was there as when he wasn?t and were very polite and helpful in keeping everything clean as they worked. Some of the obstacles they had to overcome when working with us included one overly friendly dog, one yappy ankle-biter dog, and a stair lift chair in their way when they were carrying buckets of water, tools, and tile up and down our stairs. We enjoyed our experience and are so happy with the finished shower! Thanks again Val & crew!

Our bathrooms needed updating. We had A to Z completely remodel two of them. This included: Bathroom #1: Remove old floor and tear down walls around the shower to the studs Add cement board and install ceramic tile on all walls of the bathroom including all the way to the ceiling in the corner shower. Installed ceramic tile on the floor Re-plumbed the shower supply lines After Bathroom #1 was complete - we were very satisfied so we hired them for Bathroom #2 Bathroom #2: Remove old floor and old tub and the surround and tear down walls around the tub to the studs Installed new tub Add cement board and installed stone tile on all walls of the tub. Installed ceramic tile on the floor Removed the textured ceiling and smoothed it out - ready for painting Both jobs were done on-time. The crews laid down fabric runners on the carpet and cleaned up after themselves. Work was professional and they offered good advice along the way as to the best way to lay out the job. Very credible company. They have YOU buy the tile/stone so there is no mark-up.

The work was started and finished on time. Val and Tim were very professional. The floor had been installed incorrectly 18 months ago by another contractor and Val showed me what was wrong with the original installation.

val and his boys are the best. we had a difficult project with a tile supplier that didn't deliver tile on time. Val still managed to work us into his busy schedule. they did great work with hex mosaic tile and made it all line up and look fantastic. we are using him again next month for work on one of our rental properties.

I solicited two bids for this job, and A to Z Tile was significantly less than the other. It seemed like the other provider was not eager to deal with the challenges of the job. A to Z was fully booked when I called in August, so we planned the job for early October. The two men that did the work were professional and friendly. Having done work in my 100+ year old home before, I knew that they would encounter unexpected problems. Usually this means a headache for me, but I barely noticed the problems this time. These guys made it look easy, but I know that they had to deal with a floor that was far from level and plumbing that broke when they removed the sink. When I discovered that another part of the sink had developed a leak after they had finished the job, they returned to repair it without complaint. That fix took two trips to Home Depot. And not once did they suggest an additional charge. The floor looks great, and it makes the whole bathroom feel new. It's obvious that they paid attention to the details. They used a high-quality grout that promises to stay a lot cleaner than the old floor. I would recommend A to Z without hesitation.

The project went very well and I would recommend them to others. They were very responsive to my phone call which I appreciate very much. Some of the other providers I called were not nearly as responsive. They came each day when they said they would or called ahead to reschedule the time. The project was done in three days with NO MESS left behind. We love the new flooring and the customer service we received. We have another upcoming bathroom project and plan on contacting them when we're ready.

Our experience with A to Z tile and stone was fantastic. The finished product looks gorgeous and the entire process was a breeze with Val's guidance. As I was looking for tiles I had a total panic attack and he came out one morning and went over my choices and helped me narrow down what tile and where I wanted it. I also sourced and purchased all tile, vanity, paint and fixtures, Val provided everything else. My out of pocket was about $2900 for these items. Val suggested an installed an inset shelf system that he put 2 shelves in. Val and Tim were a delight to have in our home. They were respectful, cheerful and very funny. A very small oops happened and Val was quick to inform and get it taken of at no expense to me. During the process we changes a couple of things like scrapping and skim coating the ceiling and they were great about it. We had to problem solve a couple of things like the vanity being too high and he came up with three solutions and let me choose what I preferred. Val also replaces two broken tiles at the top of steps and it looks great. At every juncture Val consulted with me as to what my preference was and to make sure I was happy with the results. We will hire them again for our master bath remodel and any other tile work. Val and Tim went above an beyond in their craftsmanship and it is obvious that they care deeply about their quality or work and pleasing their customers. I have received many compliments on how beautiful the finished bath is and ll that is thanks to Val.

I am extremely pleased with the quality, professionalism and timeliness of this project. We were in somewhat of an emergency situation, because a few of the existing tiles had started to detach from the wall. We had known the walls were in need of repair for a while since a couple tiles had cracked, but more recently the section that gets wet had started to bulge and eventually tiles started falling out. We have a second bathroom, but with a houseful of guests arriving in just a couple weeks, we needed this job done quickly. Val was able to reorganize another project to fit us in within a week of my initial inquiry (and actually started the morning after I hired him for the project). Of the contractors I contacted for estimates, he was by far the most professional, offered the most helpful and straightforward information about what had been done incorrectly by the previous homeowners and what needed to happen to guarantee repairs would not be needed again. His quote came in higher than the other contractor we considered, however we were inclined to have him do the work anyway based on our positive impression during our inquiry. When I asked if he could match the other quote, he said he could not but did offer a discount on labor if we paid for the project in cash (ie. bank check), which we did. Now that the work is done, we are definitely glad we paid the extra money, as we are confident we won't encounter these problems again. He even thought to ask if we wanted to install a new soap dish (which had been in the shower before but did not survive the demo), or if we preferred corner shelves instead. It turns out the shelves are much more useful for us, so that is what he installed. It never would have occurred to us to suggest this, so I'm glad he did. He also went to three different stores to try to find the best tile match, since the dry area of our bathroom had existing tiles that were not being removed. So far, this was the best experience we've had with any work done on our home. The work was perfect, and my wife and I really enjoyed Sergei's company while he tiled. In addition to being pleasant, he worked non-stop with no break for 6 hours. When we finally convinced him he needed to go grab some lunch, he ran out and was back within about 15 minutes, then went right back to tiling. Anyway, it went so well that we met Sergei for a drink at GreekFest the next day. We'll definitely use AtoZ again if we have tiling work to be done.

It went incredibly well. I worked via Angie's messages to get an estimate for a kitchen backsplash and a redo of the caulking in my shower. They were highly responsive!! I was able to provide all the information for the estimate myself without having to meet with anyone and miss work. I then picked up the tile in the amount they directed. The day of the install they noticed a lot of the mosaic tile was cracked, chipped, or broken. They then sorted through the tile and started work with the good pieces giving me time to get more. They installed the tile the first day, gave it time to dry overnight, and installed the grout the second day. They were so careful with the measurements and cuts to make sure everything fit well. The backsplash is beautiful and I absolutely love it! Although the redo of the caulking in the shower was not as dramatic a makeover as the kitchen, it looks good and gives me peace of mind that water isn't getting behind the shower. Nice people and great workmanship at a reasonable cost!!

Val and his crew did a great job installing new tile flooring in my mom's house. Val did a good job answering my questions especially regarding reinforcing the flimsy subfloor prior to installation and also questions about the height of the tile flooring relative to the existing hardwood floors. I would definitely recommend Val to anyone and would use his services again in the future.

We chose A to Z Tile and Stone based on the excellent reviews on Angie's list. Val communicated well with us. He came to our home and gave us two options with how to lay the tile in our upstairs bathroom. It was nice to be given options and Val gave us the pros and cons (including the cost difference) for each option. Val and his team were on time and professional. When there were different ways to approach the job, they asked us which option we preferred rather than just doing it. After the tile was laid, they left a set of grout samples for us to look at. It really helped to have a variety of samples to look at with the tile and the other colors in the bathroom. His team did a great job of installing the floor tile and regrouting our basement shower. They gave us suggestions on how to maintain the tile and grout in the shower. They cleaned up well after the work was done. We highly recommend Val and his team!

We are were very happy with the entire process from start to finish with A to Z tile. Val was easy to work with and had great suggestions and ideas for us. The crew was friendly and on time. They worked hard to keep the dust to a minimum. The finished bathroom is better than we imagined and we will use A to Z in the future and would recommend them to anyone.

Initial interview: Val is very easy to with. He listens and provides suggestions with applicable insight from his experience. He take measurements to assist customer with obtaining tile necessary for completion of project. He brings a great deal of experience and craftsmanship that I fully did not fully appreciate until the project was concluded. We then went to The Tile Shop in Plymouth and worked with John Henry. He was very knowledgeable in the difference uses of tile and their application. John Henry also assisted with excess tile returned at the end of the project. Val was able to schedule the project in approximately 6-8 weeks so I had ample time to pick out the sink/vanity/fixtures etc. prior to their start date. Start of project: They are very punctual, arriving at the time they say...each and every day they came to my house. They cleanup daily. They provide a pride in the work they perform that truly reflects on their craftsman skills. You will observe this during the different stages of the project. Any time I had a question, Val always was able to take the time to answer and keep me up to date with what they were doing. Conclusion: Our new bathroom looks fantastic. Many thanks Val, Tim & Steve

The project went very well from beginning to end. Val initially came out and helped us plan the design of the bathroom. We saved money by purchasing the materials needed and then having them ready for Val and his team when they were ready to start work. Val said the project would take a week to complete and it did. One thing that impressed us, in addition to the great work that they did, was that they always kept us in the loop so we knew what progress they'd made. Val would let us know when he and his crew would arrive each day. Once started on the project, they worked all day on it. None of this 2 or 3 hours here, then everyone is gone for 2 or 3 hours and back again. Val and his team dedicated themselves completely to finishing the job on time. And they were very diligent about keeping the dust down and cleaning up at the end of each workday. The results were great. Several of our friends have seen the remodeled bathroom and are very impressed. We definitely recommend A to Z Tile. If any tile work is needed in the future, we'll use A to Z Tile again.

Found A to Z Tile and Stone on Angie's list. Ratings were excellent so called for a quote. Val come out as agreed and reviewed our project with us giving helpful suggestions. Out of three quotes we were most comfortable with Val and A to Z and selected A to Z for our project on 5/6/2015. Val agreed to start the project around the end of July which was perfect for our project. As promised, on 7/27/2015 Val and his team were at our house early in the morning to start the project. Val and his team had the bathroom completeley gutted and all cleaned out in one day and had most of the new sheet rock in place the first day. This included moving a drain and shower head. At the end of each workday you could not tell A to Z was even in the house it was so clean. By the end of the week the job was complete with new tiled shower,vanity and toilet. Over the years I have worked with numerous contractors but none compared to the hard work and professionalism of A to Z. Val was very responsive at all times beginning with the bid process all the way throught the project. If I ever have a need for this type of work again I can assure you we will do everything we can to hire A to Z Tile and Stone.

Our remodeled bathrooms look terrific. The remodels were done on the original bathrooms which were 40 years old. Val and team were prompt, professional, and service oriented. Their worksmanship was high quality and the attention to detail was excellent. We are very happy with the finished product and will highly, highly recommend A to Z Tile to everyone for their tiling and remodeling needs.
