 + -1 moreWell, the fittings they used between the old pipe sections and the new pipe section also leaked. They came out again in a timely fashion and tried different fittings which worked well.
Description of Work: We needed part of the shower drain piping replaced. It was old copper piping and was leaking.

 + -1 moreThey did not do the work. We called them several times over a week and left messages. One time we caught a person who said he wasn't the right person to talk to and would have someone call us. Never happened - we went with another company.

 + -1 moreThe last couple times we needed plumbing service at our current location, we called numerous times leaving messages. They do not call you back. We got tired of constantly calling and leaving messages and hoping they would call us - we went with a different plumber.

Description of Work: We had used Jordan on 3 occasion in the past with great results and price at our previous address. We moved to our current place and have had the need to have a plumber come out 2 times so far and I called Jordan. No one is available anymore to answer the phones and they only take messages. We had a live person answering everytime in the past. This has been frustrating for us especially when they do not return the calls. In August of 2012 we needed some plumbing mod work done and called them daily for an entire week, because we had liked their services so much but no one answered. We received a call at the end of the week and the guy I spoke with said the scheduler was on vacation for a week and that he would make sure I would be contacted the following week. Never happened. I also called back hoping to catch the scheduler. Nothing. We went with a different company with so-so results. I am now in need of a plumber for some work to be done tomorrow. I called this morning and same thing, answering machine. It is now nearly 2:30pm and haven't been contacted back. I am going to go with a different company and any future business with Jordan is not happening.

 + 0 more.Yes, I am pleased with their work and I will hire them again in the future because of the QUALITY of what they did, and the plumbing was a bit complicated in this old house. Price was good. Responsiveness was only Fair as phone calls were not always returned quickly. I think that is mainly because they are busy. Busy is good. I would have liked more detail on the bill, too. But in plumbing, I will put up with a few communication challenges because the main issue is: does the plumbing work well? We are very pleased with the end result. Workers were professional but sometimes didn't show up until later in the day. Again, one needs to be realistic about this. If an emergency is called in, the teams have to be sent to the person with the flooding basement, not the washer install. I get that. Overall, the main question anyone should answer: would you hire this firm again? My answer: yes.
Description of Work: two new toilets, tub surround, washer hookup, plumbing two sinks, new tub plumbing, shower plumbing, all in an old house

 + 0 moreI would gladly call on Jordan Plumbing and Heating again. They were punctual, were able to deliver same day service, and very professional and courteous.
Description of Work: I called the company this morning about a slowly leaking water heater (which I pretty much knew had to be replaced). We talked options and prices in case we needed to replace (but they did not push this, no hard sales). They were able to come by that same day, later on in the afternoon, which they did (very punctual). The water heater was indeed replaced, with a similar size/model, and I carefully monitored the entire process. The solder joints are nice and clean, no drips. The plumber was very much up to date on current city & state code requirements and his work was inspected by a city inspector who gave it thumbs up. No leaks, no mess, just great work and great service.

 + -1 moreTechnician was called to fix one known burst pipe but showed the initiative to check for more in other locations. He did find another and in doing so prevented what would have been a catastrophic level of future damage. Repairs included an elegant solution for concealing the access hole that had to be made in a ceiling, something that was also entirely at the plumber's initiative. One repair failed and required a callback, for which they mistakenly billed us, but that was corrected when brought to their attention. This is the only reason for the B in Quality. Otherwise it would be an A. I've recommended Jordan to others and received only positive feedback, including from one relative who's picky and who's a contractor himself and knows good and bad work when he sees it.
Description of Work: Repairs of ruptured water pipes. I'm uncertain about the service date and cost.
