Corey was a great salesman. He was very helpful and knew what he was talking about. The crew did a great job, cleaned up the yard afterwards. They are all very professional and no complaints.

The people were very pleasant to deal with. Were prompt with communications. Workers did a good job even though the weather was not very good. It was very windy and getting dark when installation was complete so some debris and nails were missed. There was also some finish up to be done in the skylights. They came back and cleaned up the rest later, took care of the skylights and also gave us a discount for the trouble.

Measurements were accurate and the replacement of trim as well as the finishing around the windows was excellent. Exterior trim was also very good. Caulking around the windows on the exterior was average, but when called out, Heyn responded immediately and took corrective action. Clean up was average. In particular, I would have preferred that the affected areas be dragged with a magnet to pick up the nails and other metal detritus. That wasn't done. The dumpster was picked up promptly, but additional materials were left on the lawn. Again, when called, the issue was addressed immediately. The project manager was very attentive to our requests and concerns. The job was moved up due to a job that was moved back...getting the call and having the work done early was appreciated. I cannot adequately respond to the quality of the windows, yet...in terms of appearance, finish and the hardware, everything measures up, but the true test (&, in fact, the reason we had all the windows replaced) will be this winter...leakage, insulation, condensation.

Originally we had no reason to complain about Heyn's response. They came immediately to replace loose shingles on the ridge lines. Then when we called about the leak in the dormer a representative came out but originally couldn't find the problem. We kept calling and after several attempts and visits they finally said they stopped the leak. No longer do we have buckets of water standing when it rains but because all this was not found originally we have water damage in the dormer, water in the walls, and mold on the ceiling. The window has condensation on the inside of the storm window at all times and now it is even on the dormer in the room next to it. When I called Aaron about this problem he claimed that because we didn't mention the situation right after the roofing job was done, they would question whether they could be held liable. We should have called them sooner. We certainly would have if we had known the sourceand had made every attempt to find it as mentioned above. Aaron ended our conversation some weeks ago stating he'd have to talk with Aaron. I've called back several time and have received no response, not even from the bookkeeper, although that's no her job. Because we do not want this mold problem to increase further we can't wait longer and have called the contractor who will take the window enclosure apart to see the extent of the damage and do the repairs. I've shared this with Heyn Bros. via a message I left for Aaron on the company phone and again no response. Finally, there is no rationale in Heyn Bros. not being responsible for the leak in the roofing when they clearly came out and fixed it after many attempts. The problem was no one knew how to identify the source of the leak. Still waiting Aaron....

From the salesmen to the installers, everything went smooth and the communication was impressive to say the least! The installers were respectful of our home and very courteous. After they left, we couldn't tell they were ever here except for our new beautiful, clean windows! We highly recommend Brothers for any work you need done on your home!!

The order for the new window was placed in early September. They finally showed up to install the new window in November. When the got the window off the truck, it was the wrong window. It was supposed to be a casement, and they had a double-hung window. Since they had already cut the old casement out, they went ahead and installed the window with the promise that they would reorder the correct window, and come back to put it in. They also said they would order it with the casing already installed as they had cut the old casing too narrow. We told them we were leaving for the winter in early December, so it it wasn't in, they would have to wait until spring. They called two days before we were to leave and said they be here to install the correct window. When they finished installing the window (which did NOT have the casing attached) it was so crooked it was obvious. When I pointed it out the installed said that he installed it square, the house was out of square. I said it looked terrible and they needed to fix it. They did get it so it looks good from the inside, but the installed made a point of saying that was as good as he could do and the window still operate. It looks good from the inside. Outside is another story. Because they had cut the casing too narrow, the outside of the window is recessed so that the siding sticks out past the window. They found what they said was the biggest vinyl board they could get and screwed that in around the outside. This spring we had our front door replaced by another company, and he pointed out that the window did not have any flashing. Not long after, a crew from Heyn Brothers showed up to install flashing. They said the building inspector told them about it. I again pointed out the siding being past the window. They said that was the best they could do. I asked why they didn't put brick molding around it, and they said they would have to cut into the siding. They would talk to their boss. That is the last I have heard from them.

Great. They came to the home with sample colors/types, gave me booklets of information, and even told me which neighbors had similar colors or types so I could see it for myself. On time, done in one day, I couldnt believe how well they cleaned up the yard and area. They called after to make sure everything went well.

It went well. I did chose to go with other company, but they were compatible with the other one. I would not use them again.

They did what they said they would do. We had one minor issue, and they came immediately and corrected it. They were very polite and nice.

From beginning to end, Heyn Brothers was professional, cordial, complete, and careful. Every step of the process was patiently explained to us, several times, if needed. Roof replacement, from start to finish took 7 hours. The finished roof looks amazing. All of the many workers were professional, and kept noise to the bare minimum. Siding took two days, while we were away. Again, just a superb result. Our one complaint is that the subcontractor who delivered shingle bundles left a two-foot diameter, one foot deep hole in our front yard, from a stabilizing foot pressing into the ground. Heyn was very apologetic and offered to send a team to fix the problem. We have found only one nail in our grass, which is amazing, considering the scope of the job. We can't imagine a finer contractor for roofing or siding.

They did a great job. I had to wait a few weeks more than what I hoped for them to do the job, but they did great work.

I have to report that I was very unhappy with Heyn Brothers. I called to request that they come to my house and check for water leaking into my attic. They did respond to my initial call very quickly, they came to my house the following day to do an inspection. The young man they sent was unprepared. He did not even bring a flashlight.. had to borrow mine to go into the attic to do the inspection. Also he had no ladder and never even went onto the roof to inspect the vent. He then gave me a verbal and quot;guesstimateand quot; of $300.00.. but said he would send me a formal estimate in the mail. After a full week with no estimate I called again. I left a message on their answering machine with my phone number, but never recieved a reponse. The next day I called another company, Mike Hansen Roofing and they came out the next the day and not only assesed the problem, they also repaired the issue on the spot. Finally after 10 days I recieved the written estimate in the mail from Heyn Brothers. For this reason I would not recommend Heyn Brothers for prompt work or estimates.

First, I feel that it's important to say that prior to this project I didn't know anybody from Heyn Brothers Roofing. Second, they did a great job! I couldn't be more happy with the way things turned out. With every project, especially on an old house, there's always some unforeseen things that arise, and Justin at Heyn Brothers Roofing took care of them without hesitation. The mark of a true professional is not that problems arise on a job, it's how the issues are resolved, and these guys score 10/10. A few days prior to the start of the project, Justin contacted me as a reminder that their crew would be showing up, and things proceeded smoothly from there on out. The crew that worked on this project did an excellent job. I'm listing them by name because they all worked very hard and long hours. Each of them knew exactly what they were suppose to be doing at any given time and did it. Justin Krueger: Superintendent Kelly Ready: Office Manager The two folks mentioned above were not on site but have excellent communication skills. Justine and Kelly always returned calls and were able to answer any questions. Justin even fielded calls after hours. Top notch customer service from these two people! The people listed below were all on site doing the actual roofing work. I can't say enough about each one of them. I assure you, if these guys are on the job, you will be happy with the results! Tim Diel (The Big Deal) - Foreman: Great guy to work with, great attitude and assures that things move along and are done right. Jake Hall - Foreman: Jake was the second Foreman. Not as animated at Tim but equally competent. moves things along and very work oriented. Either of these two men will ensure a job well done. Ryan Holcomb: Worked almost nonstop from sunup to sundown. I was amazed at this energy and stamina. Nick Duelmeyer (Turbo): Great hard working young man; did anything that he was asked to do without hesitation. Brad Bosma: Another hard working young man, that any roofing contractor would be happy to have on their team. Tyler Rick (Birdman): This guy was amazing. He could do anything at any time. I was surprised that he wasn't one of the Foremen, but then I guess you can only have so many. I am sure that on any other roofing crew, he would have been running it. Cody and Turner Hacuh (sp??): a pair of brothers that worked as a great sub-team. Ray Anderson: This guy ran things on the ground and made sure that things were cleared away as soon as they hit the ground. Very hard worker and very personable. I don't think that I mentioned every single person that was on site during the project, and probably short changed a few on their effort but these were the main folks on site and all were top notch workers and individuals. Each one of them were very friendly, courteous and hard working. I actually took the first day off to take some picture of the project and make sure that things were going as I had hoped. As it turned out that was very unnecessary, at least from the point of view of things getting done right. Bottom line, if you're looking for a roofing contractor, you would be well advised to look in the direction of Heyn Brothers Roofing of Mankato, you won't be disappointed.

Overall, this company was a pleasure to work with. Contacts were always professional, easy to understand, and complete. Company representatives helped us through the complex insurance process every step of the way. The entire roofing job took just under one full work day. All members of the large roofing team were friendly, helpful, and well-mannered. The finished roof looks great, and we have not noticed any leaks or other problems at this point. There was one small issue related to a subcontractor, but Heyn Brothers immediately sent out a manager who corrected the minor oversight. I would absolutely recommend Heyn Brothers, without reservation, to anyone looking for a professional, highly competent roofing company.

They did fantastic work. The job was completed in one day. The roof held with no damage through two major storms last summer.

I highly recommend everyone to use Heyn Brothers Roofing. When I called Heyn Brothers Roofing for an estimate I spoke with Kelly and she was very friendly and professional. She was able to answer my questions and concerns and to set up my appointment with Marcus. Marcus was able to meet with me the next day and was on time for the appointment. He explained all of my reroofing options very well in detail to me from asphalt to steel shingles. After discussing everything with my husband, I signed their contract and mailed it in within a few days. A couple of days later I recieved a call from Marcus to touch base on my contract and any other concerns I would want to address for when the crew came to do my roof. I stated of course my landscaping and pond to be protected from the reroofing project. Within a few weeks I received a call from Justin stating their crew would be out next week (plenty of notice) and gave me details on the dumpster arrival. On that following Tuesday, an 8 man crew arrived that morning and completed my roof in that same day. It was a very windy day and they were able to clean up every piece that blew around. It was an outstanding clean up job. I found only a few nails after they left, but thinking about the 1000's of nails that are on a roof, I think they did a great job. The next day the dumpster company came and removed their dumpster that afternoon. Within a few days after the roof was complete I received another call from Marcus checking to see how everything went on that day. I couldn't believe the customer service I received during the whole process. They did exactly what they stated from the 1st call I made to their office to set up the sales appointment to the completed roofing project. All in all...Great Customer Service! Great Price! Outstanding Warranty!

Complete and detailed bid with excellent supporting documents. References provided. Scope of work was detailed and clear. All work was performed on time, completely, and in one day! Mine was a large roof, and there were a dozen workers on the job. Workmanship was excellent! Roofing cleanup can be difficult with all of the pieces of shingles and nails from the removal of the old roof. The site was cleaned very well. I was extremely satisified with the work. This is a very professional outfit that I can recommend without hesitation. Tthey might be more expensive than some, but you get what you pay for, and a roof is not the place to cut corners, The fact that they offer to complete the work in one day is significant in that your roof is not exposed to the elements over the course of what could be several days with some contractors. AUGUST 2012: two years after installation the roof looks great and functions well.
