Complete Basement Systems

First let me tell you the good. CBS was very good about scheduling, I even dropped the ball on the appointment after asking them to come out quickly. The person that came out was very prompt and polite. Now the bad, when I called the sales person(my wife was at home during the inspection), the first thing he asked me was "what is your budget for this?". I don't know about any other homeowner but when water is showing up in your finished basement your budget doesn't exist, the response is I need the water to stop ruining my home. That should have been my first "red flag", so as I hear about what it will take to fix the issue, I ask him are you sure the water is coming from the foundation and if I pay you $5,000 to install a sump pump and the drain tile, am I promised the issue will be fixed? The answer, well "no". Ok that is strange, so I ask more questions, and come to find out he doesn't even know what the issue is but he was sure to have me pay $5,000 the problem would go away until I asked him if I was guaranteed to have the issue fixed, then he told me no. So I contact another provider on Angie's List, they come over and tell me they are 99% sure the issue isn't from the foundation and to call a plumber, so I do and guess what he was correct. Total fix on the issue was less than $500. So buyer beware when dealing with these guys, actually I am disappointed with Angie's list that a provider like this even has a profile.

The salesperson was responsive, friendly and knowledgeable. The installation crew was on time, installed the braces as contracted and cleaned up after. I couldn't have asked for more.

Came on time. Did work as specified and cleaned thoroughly. Nice work.

Showed up late, were polite, got job done, but workmanship was marginal.

They were very professional. The sales representative Jason Gallef was very knowledgable. He was honest with us. There was a single contact person to speak with. They kept it very clean while they worked. It took about three hours.

I was literally Scared to death for this to take place, the financial part was the ultimate fear, after that was met, then I was afraid my house would collapse once they started. My crew lead, was so reassuring and so amazing. They showed up that morning, calling approximately 30 mins prior to arrival. Crew lead came in talked to me, asked where the best spot to set up, if they had permission to take the driveway etc. Put up a plastic barrier between basement door way and kitchen area, to cut down on the dust. Put down a floor protector, between my back door and basement door way, to protect my flooring, even though I said it wasn't necessary. They closed the upstairs basement door, when working in the basement. I just cannot believe how amazing they were. Polite, courteous, kind, reassuring. Treating me with respect. The job only took 2 1/2 days, started on a Monday finished on Wednesday, early afternoon. They cleaned up several times throughout their day, sweeping, always picking up their ongoing garbage and scraps. Before they left, I was instructed on how to torque the wall beams, gave a lesson on the new sump pump, discussed the outside drainage now in place. Asked many times if I had any questions. I am very happy with my "new" basement, the amount of physical labor that this crew puts in, in a project is unbelievable. Hauling everything by hand, toting up and down the steps, but always remaining pleasant towards myself and my family members. I am SO very happy I choose to go with CBS and would recommend them to anyone needing basement help ! ! THANK YOU CBS !

They came on time worked efficiently and fried to minimize mess and disruption job was high quality.

Installer explained what they'd do & that they'd leave a mound over the line to account for settling. Good to know & looks great now.

They were one of 4 bids I got for the work. They were not the cheapest, although they were were not that much more than the other bids. In fact all 4 bids were fairly close to each other. The reason we when with Complete Basement was simply because they really seemed to understand the issues we were dealing with in our basement. Other contractors came in did their measurements and pretty much quoted their standard package. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but they really did not seem to take the time to understand any other potential issues that may cause problems. Jason from Complete Basement came in and took the time to really understand the issues. He pointed out several things none of the others had mentioned. He also had solutions that addressed these unique issues. He was also the only one that actually did measurements to find the low spots in the slab and used that to determine how the water would drain best to the sump pit. When the crew came out, they were very fast and very professional. The whole thing was done in 2 days, which I thought was incredible given the amount of work. The other thing I found impressive was the fact the crew really did understand the finer details of the installation and were not just brute labor hired to move concrete, although a lot of concrete was moved! In fact, the foreman added a small amount to the work at no cost because he believed it would result in a better job outcome. The concrete work they did was also top notch. Overall I was impressed with the fact that everyone from top down was concerned with doing a top quality job.

There was water in my basement last year and it is back again this year. They didn't fix the problem. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

From start to finish was fast, clean, and perfect in my book. And we warned them on how fussy I am and they did an outstanding job.

Call to company for inquiry about work was very pleasant. Sales rep who came for initial contact very through and easy to work with. Work was done in a timely manner, left work area clean. Able to handle unexpected issues.

I contacted them requesting an estimate for drain tile installation. They promptly contacted me back but were unable to get anyone out to my home for 4 months.

There was not a drop of water in the basement, despite how wet the spring and early summer has been. Not. A. Drop. The basement is no longer damp at all. The installers were professional, on time, and cleaned up everything perfectly.

They did an excellent job. The only thing that stood out was that they were excellent. I was very impressed because most people who work from 8 in the morning to 4.30 in the evening or whatever but they worked literally till they got the job done. They did the whole basement in 2 days and I was impressed. They really did a nice job. I would recommend them. Price wise they were a bit expensive but they did good work too. They were very considerate, they covered the floor with plastic wherever they had to walk, cleaned everything, covered everything to keep the dust off everything. They did a fine job.

The sales rep, Eric, was very helpful in addressing our issue and clarifying any questions. Rodney and crew that installed were timely, efficient and did a nice job. As this location is being remodeled they communicated with the contractor to be sure everyone was on the same page as this system will need regular maintenance

Complete Basement Systems were very professional and were scheduled to be at our house for two days, but actually ended up working late the first day and finished all in one day. We are very happy with the results.

Nate and Jerrod were timely , neat, efficient, and friendly. They completed the job on time and cleaned up after themselves

Foreman Rodney and his team called 30 minutes prior to arriving. Were respectful of space and when dealing with me and cleaned up after themselves both days. THey helped the disconnect/connect my washer and dryer because I didnt know how.

It went very well, however we had to wait because they were booked so far in advance. Installation crew was efficient and very pleasant. Cleaning was good also.

I have never had a job done so well. I would recommend this company in a heart-beat! I could right a whole page on the quality of work and the friendliness of Nick, but I think I have summed it up in two sentences already.

They were supposed to come out in September to do the job, but we had another rain which resulted in water coming into the basement again. To preface, the basement floor was not poured correctly, nor were the drainage tiles put in deep enough to guide water away from the house, so with every rain, the pressure would build up under the house and water would seep in through cracks. They adjusted their schedule and came out a month earlier to do the job. They were a little late due to traffic the first day, but stayed until 9:00pm that night. The second day they arrived at 8:30am and didn't leave until 1:00AM that next morning!! They wanted to get the job done in two days and they did. They worked very, very hard, cleaned up after themselves very well, and were just very nice to work with. Before this was done, we could hear water through the sump pump constantly, and the pump would run almost non-stop. Now we don't hear a thing, the basement is dry (we've had a few really heavy rains since then and not a drop of water has come in). We are now scheduling our basement remodel thanks to them solving our water problems. I would highly recommend to anyone with any water issues in the basement.

They were easy to work with and things came out the way I had talked out with them.
