Complete Basement Systems

I was not impressed with the saleperson.

Four person crew were punctual, courteous, friendly, and professional. There were accomodating in making changes to better overall installation for functionality.

Competitive rate. Best sales staff. One year later I have had successfull encapsulation and nearly completely reduced odor, dampness in crawlspace. Would recommend to anyone wanting crawlspace encapsulation. Did not use any insulation as very little of my crawlspace was above ground and there was already existing insulation.

The person who provided the estimate was extremely thorough and detailed. He came to the house twice and was very specific (but not rude) about wanting to meet with both of us (my husband and me). He answered all our questions, even when he needed to follow up with information from the home office. When we scheduled the work (which was at our convenience, in order to give us time to get the basement area cleared out, etc.), he let us know he was going to be on vacation at that time and made sure we knew how to reach someone at the home office in his absence if we had any questions. The work was completed in one day, as promised. They arrived late because we had an early snow and the traffic on the road kept them from arriving earlier. They didn't call to let us know this (which would have been nice, but they were very apologetic upon arrival). However, they worked until the job was done, which was only about dusk. They put plastic down on the floors to limit dirt (because we'd had rain and snow all week, they couldn't help but track a lot of mud in and out), and they put up tarps in the doorways inside to keep the dust confined to the areas where they were working. When the left, they even swept the driveway, so they did a great job cleaning up. We also got a complete overview of what we needed to do for next steps (when the concrete would be dry, maintenance schedules, etc.)

I contracted with Complete Basement a few years ago to install a complete system, including a new sump pump. My experience was great then and I have continue to call them since then. Due to some excess water issues around my yard, my sump pump was running non-stop causing my backyard to become very wet and freeze late last Fall. I called Nate (again!) and he was right over and installed a temporary extension. In May I contacted the Company and Nate responded right away and installed a permanent underground solution. Complete Basement ~ Nate and the Company as a whole ~ have been very responsive, professional and wonderful to work with for me.

They were very fast and efficient and were done in one day. The work seems very solid although it wil be some time before it is truly tested.

They really knew what they were doing, they had good clean up and solved the problem.

The estimator, John, was very helpful and courteous. He did spend some time explaining how their product was different than the competitors by showing 3 videos on his laptop. This is very impersonal and could be better done through dialog than making me sit through 10 minutes of video.

Complete BS quoted $12,000 to waterproof a basement. I got it professionally done for less than $4,200. They wanted to put in 2 electric pumps and a 3rd pump with a battery backup. When I questioned the price they went from the Cadillac model to the Pontiac version which was the lowest quality. It was still $7,000. I got a bid as low as $3,300 from one contractor but I opted for a better warranty and a slightly better system.

They system was worth every penny. My basement does not have a single drop of moisture on in it. It's a true miracle machine.

They were great. It was a huge project and the workers finished the entire basement in about four days. They did an excellent job cleaning up afterwards and explained to us everything they were doing, step by step.

This summer with all the rain our tuck-under garage started flooding worse than ever so we started calling Angie's List member companies to find out possible solutions. Most companies claimed they only "waterproofed basements" and wouldn't be able to help me. Out of the 5 company's that did come out, only 3 gave me a quote, (although 5 said they would). Every company had essentially the same recommendation, but Victor's company Complete Basement showed up and proceeded to show me what they could do and how they had handled situations just like mine in the past. I was impressed by the presentation and knowledge he had, plus the systems and products designed specifically to solve my problem. His quote was in the ball park of the others, but they also took our credit card and had a financing package with no interest no payment for a year. The job went well, the crew showed up on time, was pleasant, neat, and tidy. They did great work and were done by the end of the day!

They were really nice but what surprised me most was the packet of information they sent me after I made the appointment for them to come out and check our sump-pump. The packet contained a confirmation letter, a letter from the owner, a personal profile (including a photo) of the person that was going to be coming out to my house, a list for me to check off of what I want accomplished, referral bonus coupon, financing information, eight copies of references (reports filled out by previous customers). Plus, a really nice colored bound book called "Dry Basement Science" that was actually quite interesting. All that just for making an appointment. Luckily I didn't need their services, however, I would definitely call them if the need arises.

I thought they did a really good job. I was really impressed with the contact I had with all 3 people I was working with. The price comparable to similar companies.

CBS is outstanding - they know what they are doing and they are extremely professional.

We haven't done the entire basement but eventually we will. The salesman was very knowledgeable, no pressure sales, and got along great. They kept the price as in the estimate, and we get to keep the same price per sq. ft. for 18 months after the installation. So we will have 18 months to decide if we want to do the rest of the basement for the same price. Great service!

It went really well. Everyone was very professional and great to work with. They even completed the project ahead of schedule.

The sales person was very thorough, friendly, and brought supporting video explanation. They explained the breakdown of the cost for each of the services we were interested in. Unfortunately, the final estimate was only provided as a total. He provided an explanation, but it seemed like they didn't really want us to know what each item cost. I felt a little pressured like he was trying to upsell.

We are very happy with the work Complete Basement Systems did for us. They were very professional from day one to finish. Our salesman, Dave, gave us a video presentation and brochures describing the service they would provide. He answered all of our questions patiently, even when I called once on a weekend. He also helped us negotiate a fair price. Mike, the crew leader for the installation was also great. He contacted us during the installation when he ran into some unexpected problems and kept us updated throughout the process. He invited someone to go over to the house (we had decided to stay out of town during the project) to confirm and photograph the unexpected problems for us (which we did and it's very clear from the photos that we needed as much work as they did). Mike's crew also left the basement very clean, especially considering how much work was done. The receptionist at CBS was also very pleasant. We felt they were a very trustworthy and a competent team.

Good service but the price was way to high. They wanted $19,700.

A very good experience. The salesperson, Bob Avery, did a nice job explaining the process, providing the estimate right on site and got us scheduled within 3 weeks of first meeting. He was also available for subsequent questions we had. The crew was able to install everything in one long day and just one person had to come back on the second day for some final pieces. Nick was incredible!! He was knowledgeable, friendly, worked hard and answered all the questions we had. They utilized fans to pull the concrete dust out of the house while they worked. They handled all of the permits and scheduled the city inspection at the end of the job. I would recommend them.

OF THE COMPANIES WE CALLED, COMPLETE BASEMENT SYSTEMS HAS BY FAR BEEN AMONG THE MOST PROFESSIONAL. RETURNED ALL CALLS; EXACTLY ON TIME, SALES ESTIMATE WAS FAST AND FRIENDLY AND AFFORDABLE. THEY WILL BE IN TO DO THE WORK IN ABOUT THREE WEEKS. I'VE DEALT WITH A FEW CONTRACTORS AND SO FAR COMPLETE GAVE ME HOPE THAT NOT ALL CONTRACTOR'S HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
