1 of three trees died over the winter, they replaced it in the spring. The trees are doing well.

They are great. They have good quality products and they also have pretty much everything, but they're not like the big chains that you sometimes have to deal with.

I brought pictures of my completed desk and worked with a gal to pick out pots and plantings. She was wonderful. She even explained how to winter the grasses we bought so we could repot them on the deck in the spring.

The installation was very good. Well done. They did slight damage to a dog fence, but made good in repairing that fully. The designer, Tom, that I had was not very engaged in the project and the design - and certainly did not explain the process, charges, etc. up front. The company was quite responsive to the feedback provided. High quality plants.

I met Otten Bros at the Home and Garden Show and Matt was quick to schedule time to come and view my project and begin his design and estimate. I was pleased that they were willing to provide labor only using pavers I would purchase on my own. After emailing back and forth a few times and deciding on a design according to my wishes, I ended up changing my mind about the style of pavers I wanted to use. This change in the design ended up costing less in labor than the original estimate, although the different pavers cost me a bit more. We ended up having to delay a few weeks beyond my desired timeframe waiting to ensure the frost was out of the ground. Matt, the landscape designer, and the crew who did the installation arrived promptly on the first scheduled workday. They had to work in a confined area behind my wooden fence and had to hand carry a lot of material as they couldn't get the bobcat all the way into the area. The rain was really bothersome during the days they were working, but they persevered, working through showers when they could. Matt, the designer was on site regularly checking in with the crew and making sure I understood what to expect with the installation. They were sensitive to my planted areas in the small, confined space and, despite being rained out after just a few hours on the second day, were able to complete the project in the planned 3 days. I am thrilled with my new patio; although it is the same size as the awful concrete and river rock former version, it seems so much larger and definitely more level. I arrived home from work a few days later to find a thank you gift Matt had left in my new space.

After 2 weeks we still hadn't heard anything. After our 3rd message to him, he finally called back and left a message saying that after he visited our house he was sent to a big project and didn't have any time to work on our plan. He apologized and said he would send our check back. By that time I had a call out to Will, the manager. He called me the next day and apologized. He said that's not the way they like to do business, but they were very busy. My entire review grade is based on having to chase down the original bidder for more than a week, to have him tell us that he hadn't gotten around to our work and wasn't going to have any time going forward.

They have some very knowledgeable people, Steve White is one of them. I've been very happy with their suggestions and the quality of the plants.

GREAT PLACE TO GET IDEAS, BUT THEY'RE PRETTY PRICEY. ALSO HAVE A LOT OF UNCOMMON PLANTS THAT ARE HARDY FOR MINNESOTA. THEIR PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT WHERE TO PLANT THINGS AND CAN GIVE YOU GOOD ADVICE.

I DESCRIBED SPECIFICS, HE MADE SUGGESTIONS/IDEAS, SPENT HOUR+ WITH ME, SAID HE WOULD CALL WITH SPECIFIC DETAILS, ESTIMATES. HE NEVER CALLED. AFTER THREE WEEKS I CALLED, WAS GIVEN MARK'S VOICE MAIL AND ASKED WHAT WAS HOLDING THINGS UP. HE CALLED ME SAYING HE JUST NEEDED SOME MORE TIME AND INFORMATION. AGAIN TWO WEEKS WENT BY AND WE STILL HEARD NOTHING, SO CALLED HIM AGAIN, WAS GIVEN HIS VOICE MAIL, AND ASKED HIM TO BE HONEST, DID OTTEN WANT THE JOBS OR NOT? A WEEK LATER HE SHOWED UP UNANNOUNCED AT MY HOUSE, AND WAS 'CHECKING MEASUREMENTS' AND LEFT RIGHT AWAY. IT'S NOW DECEMBER 11 AND I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING. ANY PLACE WITH SUCH POOR FOLLOW THROUGH, ESPECIALLY WHEN SPECIFICALLY ASKED TO BE HONEST ABOUT WANTING THE JOB, IS JUST BIZARRE. WHY WOULD MARK SPEND SO MUCH TIME THE FIRST DAY, RETURN FOR MORE MEASUREMENTS, TELL ME VIA VOICE MAIL THAT YES, THEY WERE VERY INTERESTED AND THEN JUST DROP IT?

BUT THEIR REPRESENTATIVE SEEMED INCREDIBLY KNOWLEDGABLE AND WAS FULL OF SUGGESTIONS. IF IT REALLY MATTERED TO ME THAT I WANTED THE JOB DONE VERY, VERY WELL, THIS IS THE RIGHT COMPANY.

I SEE THEM DOING HUGE JOBS ALL THE TIME, AND EVEN WHEN I CALL THEM FOR A SMALL THING THEY TREAT ME LIKE IM A HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLAR CUSTOMER!!! THEY ALWAYS DO BEAUTIFUL WORK AND IVE USED THEM FOR 20 YEARS. I HAVE A STRIP THAT MY DOG RUNS THROUGH IN MY YARD, AND EVERY YEAR HE LAYS SOD FOR ME TO COVER THE TRODDEN AREA. THEY ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE A LARGE COMPANY, THEY HAVENT LOST SIGHT OF THEIR SMALL TOWN CUSTOMER SERVICE.
