Doug's Tree Service

They did great, the whole team was wonderful. We don't have a stick to pick up in the yard. The price was great, as well. I appreciate the care and time they put into our property and would fully recommend them.

Doug's tree service came and took down a tree. They had to come back to be paid. I made the check out to "Doug's tree service" before they came. he wanted it to be made out to "Doug Coffelt" instead. Said they would have to charge me an additional User Tax of 27% if I made it out to the company's name. Very uncomfortable with this company. Sure don't like company that cheats the government.

They started 2.5 -3 hours late. Initially, they only sent 1 guy to start, then the crew came as it was getting dark. They tried to do the job too quickly. They trimmed the 1st tree to my satisfactory, but the 2nd tree they didn't complete,because they were in such a hurry to get home because it was getting dark. They left tons of trash and small limbs on my lawn that they advised they would pick up when I hired them. If you hire them, do not pay for the service until it is completed and up to your satisfactory. That was my biggest mistake.

While attending to storm damaged trees, they dropped a large tree branch on a bench attached to a retaining wall on my property. It tore the back off of the bench. They friction fit it back in place and did NOT tell us about it, knowingly concealing the damage and risking harm to my family. When I sat on the bench, the back flew off. Fortunately I was able to catch myself before I fell off of the retaining wall. I took nearly a month to get this resolved. They did not respond to voice mail. The did not respond to most of my emails. They failed twice to show up for meetings which they had scheduled. First they denied the damage. When I produced documentation and witnesses to verify it, they still denied it. When I threatened to take it to court, they paid me $100, which was less than I had asked (the time and materials involved in the repairs was $142.08). I accepted it just to be done with it.
