Lowell provided bid on 1st visit and made recommendations on layout. He came back out the week of construction to verify layout and design. Crew was very punctual. Lowell, his son or a close colleague were on site at all times. Lowell supervised most of the work himself. Ground was prepped and forms installed in about 2 hours. Work was delayed two days to to heavy rain. Cement was poured, stamped, antiqued and covered in about 2 more hours on the 2nd day. On the 3rd day, the concrete was powerwashed, crack lines cut and selectively acid stained with tan and brown colors in about 3 hours. Team also prepped area for sitting wall (excavated, filled with class 5 and compacted) at no added cost. Also hauled away debris and swept driveway and street. Some damage to grass due to tracks marks from skid steered tractor used for excavating, but this was expected. The biggest challenge in this project was in trying to replicate colors of natural stone that we tried to describe and illustrate to the company before start of work. The colors of the finished product are different than I envisioned. Not bad, just different. Overall, we're very happy with the appearance and performance of the patio (for example, there is no pooling of water when it rains) and believe that Lowell Russel is a top notch concrete contractor.

Lowell was very clear about everything from the estimate to the schedule to the results and it all when exactly as planned with the exception of a couple day delay on one piece due to weather. They used top quality material and very skilled and hard working people and left the work site safe and clean each time they were here. Everything looks fantastic and the workmanship outstanding. Lowell and his crew were a pleasure to work with and I would recommend them to anyone and have. They are true concrete artisans worth every competitively priced penny.

He showed up on time for free estimate and was able to approximate when he would be available to do the job if we decided on him. We called back to schedule the work. They showed up on the day and time scheduled, completed the work as indicated (multi-step process) and we are very happy with the results.

My experience with them was good. They were knowledgeable and had some really good products. They were very responsive. I decided not to use them because of their price. I would possibly use them in the future.

Lowell was one of six contractors we contacted for bids. Two never responded, one responded immediately but we did not have confidence in his abilities after discussing our project. Lowell's bid plus the other two bids came in at about the same price. We picked Lowell not because he was the cheapest, but because he offered options and suggestions and seemed to be very knowledgeable about concrete work. He sold on doing the stamped concrete work. Once we accepted his bid he gave us a starting date. A week before the start date he came out and did final measurements and marked the work area. His crew showed up each day as promised and we were updated via phone each day by Lowell. The work was finished on schedule and his crew cleanup each day after the work was done. We are very pleased with the quality of the work and the end results.

Overall the process went well. Be prepared to meet with Lowell on the first trip to your home to make selections. We were provided names and numbers of local references so we could see their work first hand. Once the date was set, they were prompt and professional. They recommended and performed additional landscape work to ensure the grade around the sidewalk would provide proper drainage. We're very pleased with the look of our new sidewalk and will use them again next spring for a new patio!

Everything went as planned. We called and asked them to come out and give us a proposal for the project. They gave us the initial bid. Once we decided to go with them, he came back with details on color and design. An installation date was set as soon as the weather would permit. The work was completed within a week and they checked in with us on a regular basis to make sure we were happy with their work. We've had nothing but complements on their work all summer.

We love the work they did. They made us re-think what we are looking to do, gave us some wonderful ideas and the final result looks great. They also had the lowest price of the estimates we received.

Mr. Russell was very prompt in giving us an estimate and explaining the process. He and his employees were prompt and knowledgeable and friendly when on site. The job was completed in the expected time frame and they were very willing to come back and do an extra coat of sealer at our request.

Very professional and high quality job, done quickly (2+ days). It took a little more fill than what was first estimated, but the cost estimate stayed the same. The last concrete truck got stuck in the middle of the yard and they used wheel barrows to haul it over to the shed. When the sidewalk was removed, we discovered it had heaved into the garage and broken some of the foundation wall. They rebuilt the two block wall sections before pouring the new sidewalk. Their quality and care showed with how they dealt with this hidden problem. Again they kept the cost the same as the estimate even though there was more unexpected work involved. I highly recommend Lowell Russell, and his crew. You get what you pay for!

EVERYBODY THAT GOES BY MY DRIVEWAY, STOPS AND WANTS TO KNOW WHO DID THE JOB. THIS IS AN EXCELLENT COMPANY TO DEAL WITH.

Extremely pleasant and professional initially. Complicated job in that concrete was being poured in an enclosed walled courtyard containing a hottub. Initial plan was to suspend hottub and cement underneath (estimate included $450 add'l because of complexity). Discovered immediately at start of job that hottub was too heavy; resorted to knocking down a wall of the courtyard and moving hottub. Finished job 2 days early (but still insisted to be paid the add'l charge). Refused to move hottub back into courtyard; eventually negotiated to move tub for add'l $. Section of concrete was not sealed properly. Was unresponsive to our request to return to inspect and reapply seal. In general, good quality work and timely completion, but unfortunately, poor customer service and very unprofessional interactions.

I was pleased with the workmanship and their punctuality. They came in and worked hard and fast. There was minimal inconvenience of no use of our driveway.
