Cedar Warriors

Preston Schmidt works alone and works harder than I can describe! He gently power washed each cedar shake on our large and complicated roof. It was early October in Minnesota, so he worked from 10 AM to 5 PM for two days on the cleaning, replacing about 6 shingles. Preston had to use lots of safety precautions while washing the roof. The roof had to thoroughly dry before he could apply the seal coating. Nature did not cooperate as it rained every day for a week. However, when we finally had two days of sunny dry weather, Preston finished the seal coating. The roof looks fantastic!

They did a great job. Friendly, punctual and receptive to my requests. Very competitive price and reliable service. They performed as they said they would.

They had to come back to redo it, because the stain did not take. They came with stain that would no longer me available. Once they used it I asked for about touching some things up and they said they could no longer get it. The second time they brought darker stain.

The bad part was the owner's son did the staining and did a very poor job and got stain all over the rock underneath the deck.

Looked great when done - did not have to be there - everything looked good after - no mess or anything to clean up

I called and left 3 voicemails and emailed twice. No response whatsoever. A simple response would have made me happy but there is no excuse for ignoring a potential customer. I will take my business elsewhere.

Outstanding. The wash was 100% removing all stains and discoloration. The stain was a translucent red (recommended) and folks are all over me wanting to know who did it. It looks fabulous!!!

Preston does a good job and you can't beat the price. Four years ago I used him in part because he was by far the cheapest bid I got. I liked the work and so called him again to do it this year, and he offered to do it for the same price as four years ago, which was great.

The fence looks good and it was a fair price. The process was rough because of the close proximity to my neighbors house. I didn't give my neighbors enough notice about the work and it caused a great deal of strain on our relationship-- I own that. I explained the situation to Cedar Warriors and stressed that I needed to keep my neighbors aware of when they would be working on the fence; however, they did not communicate the details of their return. I found out when I returned home and they were packing up after finishing up the staining. Communication around color selection was also wonky. My experience could have been greatly improved with better communication even an FAQ; it all just felt too loosey goosey for me.

Preston and his crew did a nice job for us. I won't hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to others. Had the deck completed in about 4 weeks following initial contact.

I contacted Cedar Warrior for a quote to stain my fence. I was contacted immediately and had a bid for the job. I decided to go with Cedar Warrior and very happy that I did. Preston was very nice and he also did an excellent job on both power washing and staining. The job was very professional and my fence looks great. My neighbor approach me the moment I got home after Preston had completed the job and want the name and number of the contractor. hey did a great job of removing years of dirt and grime. I would hire them in a minute the next time I need their services.

Preston was very timely and professional. He did a wonderful job of cleaning the deck and then staining it. He was very careful to not get other items around the deck covered with stain and always cleaned up after he was finished. Very nice job at a reasonable price.

I can't say enough how great of an experience this was. This is our second winter with an old house (1938) and we had no idea what ice dams were. Once the water started leaking into our house we google'd it and realized pretty quickly that the ice that had accumulated on our roof was causing water to seep back into the roof shingles once the temperatures started fluctuating above and below freezing. We talked to our neighbor Jim and he recommended cedar warriors. We called them at 6 that night once we realized what we were faced with and Preston said he could be out there within the hour. Then from 6:45 to 10 that night Preston worked extremely diligent and removed every last chunk of ice on our roof! Then when he wrote out the bill and it was only $325 we were very surprised (in a good way of course). I kind of expected some sort of after hours emergency charge! Usually I would inquire ahead of time but we were in dire straits so it had to be done. So now I am raking the roof every time it snows, but if I need to I would not hesitate to call cedar warriors again!

Cedar Warriors did an exceptional job. We have used them in the past and had to call them on short notice to have our deck power washed and stained prior to putting our house up for sale. They were able to come out and complete the power washing the day after we called. A couple days later they returned to complete the staining. The deck looked great.

Came out to quote the job the day before Thanksgiving. Came out on the next Monday and installed lights. Was professional and efficient. Work was done in the time and amount quoted. Great service at a fair price. Can't ask for anything more. Wil definitely be putting up our lights next year.

Work estimation was incredibly easy. Preston measured the work and has a complete bid generator in his vehicle. The written estimate was on the table in 10 minutes! Preston started by power cleaning the "seasonal dirt" off the new deck and visually inspecting for any problems. The weather was not with us and caused a 48 hour delay between cleaning and applying oil based Cedar stain. 2 days of brilliant sunshine opened the wood wonderfully. He applied a single coat of an excellent staining material with "pads". He and a co-worker made absolutely sure that everything was done - perfectly. He is fast, honest, efficient and effective - I would recommend him to my grumpy relatives as they would find NOTHING to COMPLAIN ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonderful job at the right price! Did I mention his price was significantly lower than 2 other providers?
