I started with about twelve different bids. All of the bids were for full removal of our large (60 foot) basswood tree. Most of them came in between $1400-1600. Arbor Barbor's bid was only $875 for the whole tree removed, stump ground, and all debris hauled away. Though the price seemed to good to be true, I double checked Angie's list reviews and saw positive ratings. My husband also had a pleasant experience when he came to give us the bid and felt comfortable with him. So I called and said we would like to use his services. He scheduled us in for a week later. We did not have to be home at all. We chose to have him leave behind the debris from the stump grinding to use in our garden. There was not as much as I though there would be which was great! That day, I also asked if they would have time to look at a couple of our other trees. They ended up grinding an extra stump for us in the back for only $20 and heavily trimming our maple tree in the front for only $140. The extra costs were so minimal compared to previous quotes or doing the work ourselves! Others wanted $650 to trim the maple! When I got home the work looked fantastic. I was nervous about the maple because one of the major limbs was severely damaged and needed to be removed for safety, but they did such a great job trimming the whole thing that is doesn't look lopsided! Overall, I honestly could not be more satisfied with the work that they did. THANK YOU Arbor Barbor!!!!

They were on-time and finished the job within 30 minutes.

Mr. Savchenko and two assistants arrived in mid-morning with a large truck equipped with a crane arm for loading and hauling-off the cut-up tree. They also brought a compact vehicle with a short crane and large claw hook on its front for picking-up and carrying heavy tree parts. The vehicle had 4 large balloon tires to minimize lawn damage. They laid large steel panels over the steepest part of the front lawn where this vehicle would be travelling. After unloading a variety of ropes, pulleys, rakes, chain saws, etc., Mr. Savchenko strapped climbing spurs around his ankles, clipped a chain saw to his belt, put a rope around the tree, and ascended like a lumberjack. He cut and tossed small branches into the open lawn areas below and lowered larger branches by rope, which his assistants guided into the open grass areas to prevent damage to any of our perennial plants. While he worked, his assistants also carried, dragged, and wheeled cut branches to the side yard where they were picked-up and carried by the claw-hook vehicle to the street. Mr. Savchenko descended from the elm about 3 hours later when only about 20' feet of the main trunk was left standing. He then cut a wedge from the base of the elm trunk and dropped it harmlessly onto the lawn, where it was quickly cut up and hauled to the street. They raked up and removed virtually all of the tree debris, swept the street, and left for their next job. My wife and I had anticipated some inevitable damage to surrounding perennial plants and trees in our backyard, but apart from a few feet of trampled ferns around the base of the elm and flattened grass between the side yard and the street, there was virtually none. Mr. Savchenko and his two-man crew were highly professional at all times, efficient, obviously well-experienced at what they do, and I would recommend them without reservation.

He originally was suppose to come for an estimate then never showed up and he did not call to tell me he was not coming. He was hard to get a hold of and didn't call back the same day I called on a couple of occasions which was frustrating. I had called him last year about an estimate and he was so prompt with everything and super on top of it so it was a bit of a surprise that his communications and promptness were not at the same level. I would use him again. His prices are really reasonable compared to some others that bid the same job. They worked quickly and did an excellent job.

They were very quick, professional, and on-time. They were also flexible in doing additional work the day of the job, and I thought the extra $200 was very fair...they weren't trying to over price the additional job since they were already there. All in all, they did a very good job and were trustworthy. With regard to the B for responsiveness, this is because I had to call a couple times after I sent a 10% deposit to set up a time. Once I got a hold of them, they set up an appointment for the next week, which is what they indicated it would be when they gave an estimate. So overall their responsiveness was not as top-notch as the rest of my experience with them. But it's a busy time of year for tree service companies. I would hire them again without question.

Called and spoke with Vitaliy at 9am and told him what we were looking to have done. We had a big tree limb fall in our backyard during one of the heavy winter snow falls. He said he was at a job and would stop by before 1pm and call with exact estimate and could do the job right then. He called before 1pm and confirmed the $200 he said over the phone earlier. We had him cut up wood for firewood; stack and clean up any debris left in the back yard. When we got home the work had been done and the yard was amazingly "clean". Thanks!

I?m extremely satisfied with Arbor Barber and their removal of two trees for me. Vitality and his crew were on time, courteous and extremely efficient. Great cleanup job too ? Vitality had told me that ?you won?t even know we were here? and that turned out to be true! Excellent work at a great price, I recommend them highly and would hire them again anytime.

Excellent job despite freezing, snowy conditions. Site was left as described in the estimate. Estimate price was the invoiced amount. It was a pleasure to meet and have the crew help us with our arbor needs. I can't say enough praise for this company and I have recommended them to all my friends & neighbors.

They did their job extremely well. The pricing was very good. I would recommend them, based on past experiences we've had with other tree service companies. They did what they said they were going to do in the appropriate timeframe.

I was happy to get an estimate the same day I called but even happier to find out they could start the work within the hour because they had just finished another job nearby. They completed the trimming and cleaning up in less than 2 hours with no damage to my house, roof, yard and gardens, and driveway. I was ecstatic with the beautiful trimming and shaping of the tree when they were done.

Thunderstorm winds uprooted 30ft tree between my house and neighbors house. Felt only my fence was keeping tree from falling completely. Arbor Barber came same day I called and cleanly removed this fairly large tree without any issues. Area was clean and neat. Will call again if I have any tree issues. Recommend.

The stump removal went fine. The arbor vitae went well. If I had known it would have been as easy as it was, the trees would have been pulled out years ago. Very pleased with work and the price. Vitaly is very responsive.

They came when they said they would come. We were able to negotiate the price with them. They were quick and efficient. They also cleaned up after themselves. The quality of their work was good and I was satisfied with their service.

Rescheduled from the previous week after two of the crew were out sick. One was still out this week, so the work was done by Vitaly and one assistant. They had a big cherrypicker / bucket truck as well as a truck with a woodchipper. They started at the top and brought it down piece by piece. It took most of the day. I was impressed with the professionalism and safety consciousness. They did exactly what we agreed, and they cleaned up after themselves.

Did an excellent job. Were prompt, professional, and very pleasant. Did excellent job with cleanup and cut the stump down as far as they could.
