They were her on time. They were very professional. they did a great job and cleaned up everything very good. While they were here working my neighbor had them trim there tree also. I would have them back. hopefully I wont have to.

They were horrible! They told us that they would come out. They came out and gave us the estimate pretty quickly, and then they said it was like a little job so they said they would do it that day or the next day. We called them 5 times and 3 weeks later, my husband told them to give us our money back because we paid them. We gave them a check and they said they wouldn't cash it, but they did it. They finally did end up coming out. They cashed it before they did the job. We called a bunch of places because there has been a storm. They were pretty much the only ones that even answered my call. They were very, very rude when they actually came out, and I think it was the owner.

It went great. Arbor Barber was able to help me right away. I had help cutting down bushes, shrubs, and small trees from my backyard in north Minneapolis. Arbor Barber showed up with a huge truck with a crane and removed all the material from my yard in less than 30 minutes. They are awesome!

We have used Arbor Barber (Vitaly) for all of the tree work at our home over the past few years. As always, he and his crew did an excellent job - arrived when promised, completed the job as desired, and left the yard cleaner than when he arrived. We will continue to use him for future tree needs.

We had a very large tree stump from a tree they had cut down last year but decided not to have the stump taken out at the time. We were doing some landscape projects this year and decided to go ahead with getting rid of the stump. We rented a grinder and tried to do it ourselves but it was an effort in futility so we called Arbor Barber. He remembered us, gave us a great quote and did the job MUCH quicker than if we did it ourselves in a fraction of the time. That's another thing, they always are so fast and clean up well. When he was done he said the price would be even less than the original quote but since he had done such ha good job and the price was so reasonable in the first place we paid him the amount he had first quoted. I would highly recommend this company. We have yet to be disappointed in all the jobs they have done for us and some of them have been pretty formidable. I can't recommend them highly enough.

The work was quick and they came back the next day to take away debris and clean up. I was thankful for the last-minute service on a holiday.

Vitaliy answered his phone right away when I first called to set up an estimate (he's the only one that did out of 3 businesses I called). I told him we needed to have two dead trees removed and remove low hanging branches on a large Maple. He was able to come to our house the next day for an estimate. My husband and I explained what we needed and he was very helpful. After we got the estimate, we noticed another tree that was dead (we have a lot of trees on our property). My husband called Vitaliy to adjust the estimate to include one more tree. On the scheduled day, Vitaliy and his crew arrived on time and got to work on the trees right away. They were highly professional, safety conscious and skilled. They cleaned up all the areas in our yard and also the street that had debris from loading the trees/branches into their truck. We plan on installing new fencing in the future and will definitely call Arbor Barber to remove the trees that are in the way of the fence.

Inquired about estimates for trimming tree branches. John sent e-mail promptly. I talked to him on the phone this AM. He was able to come over and arrived ahead of schedule this afternoon. He took time to explain everything and look at trees in yard. He made sure to go over what I wanted done, which branches to be cut and the work was done quite quickly.

The owner was here waiting for the crew by 7:30, and they went to work right away. Originally they were cutting down 2 trees and grinding 3 stumps, and while they were working, decided to cut down another tree and they had no problem doing it. The two guys on the crew were so fast, neat, polite and informational. My neighbor came over and they were willing to cut down one her trees on the spot. I had 3 (including this one) companies come out with estimates and they by far were the most prompt and reasonably priced of all three. We will definitely use them again for future tree work! They did the whole job in 2 1/2 hrs. Awesome work!

I was scrambling to get a tree removed and a stump ground before I had a new driveway put in. Vitaliy called me back immediately and offered to squeeze me in the next morning at a competitive rate. Vitaliy and his crewmate showed up 15 minutes early with his boom truck and offered to trim some dead branches at a good rate as well. Will definitely use again in the future

Vitaly and his crew are professional, courteous, prompt, and they do a very thorough job. Due to weather, we had to reschedule this job several times, however each time Vitaly called me and explained the situation. He would rather do the job right the first time, and I appreciate that. This is the only tree service that I will use in the future.

Arbor Barber located in Robinsdale was excellent !! Arrived promptly for the estimate and also the day for the removal and grinding of stumps.. The work was completed exactly as I requested and all debris was hauled away and work area was cleaned up... Very professional.. I will definitely use Arbor Barber in the future and recommend them to friends and anyone that is in need of this type of service.

They did a great job. I called about 8:40am and Vitali said he would be here in twenty minutes to make an estimate. He was here in exactly 20 minutes and said he could start the job right away. He called in his crew and they had everything done by 11:00am.

We had a 90 foot 160 year old basswood that was a lovely tree, but had started suffering from internal rot and was getting fragile. Every year we lost a branch or small limb here and there and so we knew it should come down soon. Our neighbors who lived by it for over 30 years weren't overly concerned, but knew that the angle of the tree and location precluded that it would likely fall into their yard if it did - which I cannot disagree with. Long story - we have had 3 prior bids on this tree over the past 2.5 years and every time it felt like it would take a 2nd mortgage. One national tree company (Davey) does a ton of work in our area. They offered a bid over $4k because they said they would "have to bring in a crane and operator and get permits for it" when they did the removal. I said NO right away. Two other bids over the past 2 years came in very near that - without cranes and from private companies. The location of the tree is on a raised area that is higher than the ground around it..so perhaps 12-15 feet higher than street level on 2 sides. So many told us that was dangerous. Arbor Barber came out after I read on here that people really liked their work - almost 100%. I called, told them that a very large limb was hanging by only straps of wood on an obviously hollow limb and wanted that removed... and while I as at it I asked for a bid for the entire tree. John , the Arborist, contacted me immediately - responded to me on a Sunday evening by email and went out to look right away Monday morning. He emailed me with both bids...we discussed additional options like stump grinding and more. I opted for the entire tree because of the much more realistic bid . He emailed me on all things as I was at work and we set it up that morning at 10:30 as a "go". At 1:30 PM I went home to check and 1/3 of the tree - the canopy- was already gone! Within 2 more hours the tree was gone and the stump was being ground. I cannot tell you how impressive they were with politeness, cleanliness, quiet & professional crew and their precision work. I have had 2 other equally large trees taken out after partially falling - and neither time was the crew even near the quality of these men. They were awesome! During the entire process one was constantly raking and picking up small pieces of debris and Vitaliy -the owner - was using the blower to clean the street, our yard and driveway- as well as the neighbors. The only sign that they were there was the missing tree, a pile of chips from the grinder (neatly left) and some crushed hostas that are a necessary evil of the job. (They will come back) Our neighbors driveway is next to this tree and they offered the driveway up for use - and after seeing the work, they (a regular Davey Tree customer) stated that they might just have to change services. We have many more trees on our lot that will need attention in the years to come and I plan to keep Arbor Barber on speed dial! Thanks Guys!

My landscaper cornered me into a timeline whereby I had to hire someone within a week to remove a giant tree for them to proceed. I had to go with another tree company that could match the best price but respond instantly. Thumbs up for Arbor Barbor otherwise, suggest you give them a call.

They arrived when they say they would and started immediately. When they were done and all the branches etc were removed, and the stump(s) ground, they left the yard as clean as they could possibly leave it. Courteous service! I'd hire them again in a heartbeat!

We had 2 dead trees; one of them was in very close proximity to the house on one side, and to the neighbor's property on the other. The other one was tangled up in another tree and also in close proximity to the house and neighbor's property. Both of the trees were very large, and both required climbing up to take them down in pieces. We had 4 companies give us bids. One quoted $2,000 (Davey's), another one refused to take down one of the trees - too dangerous and no access for equipment, and quoted $600 for the other tree (Shadywood Tree), and the third couldn't even make it out to our property to give us a bid until a week from the time we called, and we didn't want to wait that long, so we just cancelled them. Arbor Barber came out for the quote withing 2 hours of our initial call. They quoted $700 for both trees, and said they will do the work the following Monday (the initial contact and quote was on previous Thursday). They showed up on Monday morning as promised, climbed up the trees, took them down in pieces without damaging any property, and cleaned up afterwards. Quick, efficient, professional - excellent service in every aspect. Not a thing to complain about (and I normally like to complain!) I strongly recommend them to anyone, and will use them again if the need arises. Great job, and thank you, Arbor Barber!

We had 2 trees that needed to be removed in our yard. We called them and they were able to meet and give us an estimate right on the spot. They were friendly and were able to accommodate us within a week. They did an AMAZING job!!! They cleaned up everything and had it all done within a matter of hours! I would definitely recommend them and would for sure use their services again!

Failed to perform any work or call to let me know. This is disappointing as i used him in the past on a large tree removal project.

Trimmed about 5 large trees and one very large cottonwood tree. Did all they said they would do and removed all large and small limbs. Did a nice clean-up job.

We had used Arbor Barber for tree removal a few years ago and called them for this job as well. The Arbor Barber guys arrived at 8 am. It was very chilly and windy; but they got right to work. The first two trees were in the front yard; those two were down and the yard cleaned up in an hour. The backyard took a little longer - more trees and lots of trimming to do; plus stump grinding. We had originally asked for 6 trees to be taken down; but the team leader pointed out that one of the ash trees that we thought we would keep was in bad condition, so they took that one down as well (at no extra cost). These guys are hard working and very professional. They did an excellent job with the trimming. We have several trees that are close together with branches intertwined, so I'm sure this was not an easy task. They cleaned up all of the wood and branches and hauled it away. We will use Arbor Barber for future tree service.

Vitaly and his three man crew arrived 10 minutes early first thing in the morning. They immediately began setting up to cut down two large trees in my backyard. I estimated one of the trees to be at least 65 feet tall and the other one nearly the same. I had other smaller trees in the area that I did not want damaged and they were very careful about not doing that. THe climber was very experienced and did an excellent job. They also moved the cut down tree trunks and branches manually because the ground was soft and I did not want them to use the four wheeled power equipment. This required extra hard labor and I appreciated it. THe whole thing only took 3 hours and they did a very thorough job cleaning up after the cutting was completed. Thier bid price was less than two others who looked at it and indicated it would take them longer. Professionalism - really have no issue here but noticed that from a safety stanpoint they could probably do better. They did not have safety glasses, gloves , hardhats, etc which is something they should consider (I am a loss control engineer and could not help noticing these things) Very good job over all and I would use them again

Perfect! They did a great job and cleaned up everything. They even laid down mats to prevent damage to the grass. Would definitely recommend for anyone needing tree trimming or removal.

We have used several tree service companies before. They all did good job. However, responsiveness, professionalism and knowledge base of Arbor Barber are on the completely different level. They not only did awesome job, but also helped us to make some critical decisions not to remove several trees. This is quite unusual since they would make more money if they did.

All in all I am happy with the service I received for the money I spent. I would use them again and there price was better than others I got bids for. The two issues that I had that I didn't care for was I thought I lost my bid/contract. I called the guy who came out and did my bid told him I wanted to go through with it. He said he wasn't sure if he would be able to find it. He said they only keep them for about a month. That was on a Friday so I hadn't heard back so I called Tuesday or Wednesday. Luckily I found the bid/contract because when I called he didn't seem like he spent much time looking for it based on our talk. The worst part was he ask for a credit card basically to show I was really going to go through with it. When I called he didn't have my credit card information he said he lost it. That didn't leave me feeling all that confident or comfortable. Thankfully I haven't had any issues but its not comfortable not knowing if he was telling the truth since I don't know him at all. Finally the last issue I had was after I sent my 10% down payment I waited 3 or four days and I hadn't heard back from them so I called them. I was a bit disappointed they they didn't call me first. The crew came out as scheduled on time and did a great job. I even added the stump grinding the day of and they were able to get it all done. The clean up was good so I was happy. So I would give them a grade of a b+. If those other issues didn't go the way they did I would have given them an a+. I would certainly use them again and refer them to anyone. Nobody is perfect even though I want them to be. I'm glad I found Angie's list,for,this service
