Description of Work: Replaced three rotted fence posts. He had to remove old tree roots and large cement chunks in order to pour new cement and set the new posts, so it wasn't an easy job by any means And he did it with minimum disturbance to plants along the fence. The repaired fence looks great. He really knows his business. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a job done well.

 + -1 moreAt his suggestion we did some weather proofing, between the glazing of the windows and the weather proofing. I have saved enough in my heating bill to pay for the services. He is careful to keep things clean as he works and was willing to teach me how to glaze windows so as a new single family home owner I will be able to do some maintenance on my own. I have worked with Chuck previously on several projects. He returns my calls quickly and is on time or calls if he needs to reschedule or is running late.
Description of Work: Chuck re-glazed 15+ windows, including the small 10 decorative windows on either side of the main entry door. The previous owner had not used glazing, but water putty to seal the windows in, making its removal a very tough job. Chuck did a great job removing the water putty and glazed them properly. In addition, he suggested that we do some weather proofing in the porch and in the house to help minimize the heat loss during the winter months. So we weather proofed the porch, added door sweeps to entry doors, caulked and weather proofed basement windows and other weather proofing throughout the house.

ceramic tile
 + -1 moreChuck did an incredible job on this tile project and I have gotten many complements on the job that he did (including the home appraiser). The job took longer than expected (almost every tile needed to be cut), but the results were well worth it. I am very impressed with the fact that you can not tell the wall is not flat, at some points the thickness of the wall varied by an inch, but the tile make it appear completely flat.
Description of Work: Chuck tiled the bathroom floor with 12"tiles and the shower surround with 6? tile with decorative accents tile. There were several challenges to this job as the shower area in this 1908 house included a shelf on either end of the tub, a window in the middle of the shower wall and plaster walls that were not straight/plumb or flat. He took the time to calculate the layout to ensure that the tile was not only laid properly and straight, but aesthetically pleasing to the eye while dealing with the walls.
