Andrew was great from the phone call. He asked questions and we spoke at length about the issue before he even scheduled his visit. You could tell he wanted to ensure he was the right person for the job and that if he wasn't, he would recommend someone who was. When he arrived, he looked over the issue and explained what was causing the problems and potential fixes. He lastly explained that we should consider living with the problem as trying to fix it could cause more damage. I appreciated his honesty and will definitely call him for future projects.

Turned up on time, and installed the new mailbox. Andrew had to make a run to pick up a 4x4 post which I'd neglected to get, but still got the job done quickly and efficiently. In addition I talked him into doing some additional work at a future date. Pleasant to work with, responsible, and responsive.

Andrew completed the repairs efficiently and with excellent craftsmanship. It would have taken us ten times the time, and we would not have done as thorough a job.

There was a mix up on the time set for the appointment but when I called he came in 1/2 hour . Although not a great start he did a very good job .

A Wonderful experience! We had a pergola on our front entrance where the wood had started to rot. We needed to have it replaced. Andrew (the Melon Man) responded quickly to our call for an estimate. He arrived on time to evaluate the job. We had an email estimate by the next day. He provided a contract detailing the work and we paid a down payment. He scheduled his work for 2 weeks out and even provided the time he planned to start. The day of the job, he called to let us know that he may be about 30 minutes late; and arrived as expected. During demolition, Andrew discovered that there was a need to replace an additional post where wood rot was not visible prior to demolition. He immediately called us to obtain authorization for the additional work and cost. He estimated that the job would be completed in 1 day. Melon Man delivered a beautiful pergola while staying with the time and cost estimate. We are very pleased with our new pergola. It is a pleasure to work with a professional who communicates, is responsive and meets his commitments! We will definitely use Melon Man in the future and would heartily recommend him to others!!

This is not the first time we've used Melon Man and it won't be the last. Andrew is wonderful to work with. He is VERY thorough and is committed to doing quality work. I read a previous customer that said he is on the pricey side and while this may be true, you get what you pay for. He is punctual, polite and goes above and beyond to make sure any needs you have are met. Both my husband and I are 100% comfortable having him do any work in our home, even if we were not there. We've used him before and we'll use him again for anything else we need! If you're looking for someone reliable and to really do a good job, the Melon Man is the only one you should call.

I highly recommend Andrew. He is very detailed and careful, and can do just about anything. I purchased a wide variety of updates for my home (faucets, lights, and a new storm door) and he handled each task really well. He is very professional, dependable, and most importantly, does high quality work.

I purchased a package through Angie's List for 4 hours of handyman service for under $375. I had several small projects that needed to be done. Andrew was very responsive and contacted me a day after I purchased the service. I needed new "guts" for an old toilet since it would no longer seal, a bathroom towel rack had come off the wall, an air vent needed to be put back on and the sheet rock was too thin to attach it, a shelf needed some braces, and a pocket door needed a pull handle and adjusting. Andrew purchased the part to fix the toilet, completed the other projects, and came back later in the week to put the molding up around the pocket door with covered nails. All of those pesky projects are done and look great. He got all of them done in the time I had purchased. He cleaned up after himself. No attempt to up-sell. Andrew is very pleasant and personable and is great with pets. I will use him again and will recommend him to others. I Also love that he is a small business owner and takes pride in doing the work himself.

Melon Man isn't cheap, but he IS the best value. Why? Because he shows up on time, completes the repairs in half the time as others we have tried, and does the absolute highest quality work. He is the best value, and we ALWAYS try to use him, hes our first call!

As with my past experience, he is always courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. He is now in my cell phone because I would not hesitate to contact him again for more work that will eventually be needed. As with each time Ive utilized this company, everything went smoothly and predictably. His communication. timeliness, and work are superb. Most important to me, as a single female homeowner without much working knowledge of home repair, Andrew has integrity and I trust his judgement. He always suggests cost-efficient alternatives that are in my best interest. Plus, he has a great sense of humor! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I've used Andrew for multiple projects (install new interior doors, replace damaged siding, install an electric stove, and this project). His price is fair and his work is always very well done. For this project, Andrew came with very short notice and completed all of the work in a very short amount of time. When one of the doors was too small for the opening, Andrew came up with a quick and effective solution.

I left a voicemail for Andrew regarding a long list of projects that needed to be done. He contacted me within 24 hours and we chose a time for him to visit and review the list. He showed up at the appointed time, introduced himself and showed us copies of his license. I can't say that I ever remember any contractor voluntarily showing any proof of qualifications. It shows just how thorough Andrew is. We reviewed the list item by item and Andrew took notes on each repair. He suggested we book him for a 1/2 day so we could see how we liked his work. We agreed and he promised to send the necessary quote and paperwork that night. He then told us that the earliest opening on his schedule was the 3rd week of October (sigh). Well, we figured we'd already waited forever to get things done so what's another few weeks. Later that same night I received Andrew's email (promise kept) along with a note saying he'd researched our toilet issue and thought the problem may be covered by a recall. Sure enough it was. BAM, just saved the cost of a new toilet. End of September comes and I get an email from Andrew saying "How about October 3rd?" I love someone who UNDERpromises and OVERdelivers! Needless to say, his work is excellent, his professionalism is first-rate, he completed the most pressing items on the list, and we're excited to have him back again to finish things up.

He was on time and did everything quicker than I had expected. The computer desk needed legs mounted on a "bridge", which worked very well. I have a large, heavy, expensive picture that I wanted hung - he did it and measured just as I requested. The flag pole holder was very awkward to mount, but he did it very smoothly. The heavy wind chime was simple, but he did it very quickly. He's very neat and organized - removed his shoes as he came in. He submitted a detailed invoice.

Went very well and came the day after I called.

The work was well done and Andrew is very responsible in following through. I especially appreciate that he answers his phone. He is pleasant and professional. I highly recommend him.

Andrew returned my call immediately. He came over the same day (a Saturday no less) to diagnose the water problem. It turned out to be a quick fix so he took care of it and finished it, and a few other repairs, all in less than an hour. He is very smart, thorough, pleasant and explains everything he does. I have hired him before, and although he has a very busy business, he is attentive to calls and takes pride in what he does. I highly recommend him.

Andrew was wonderful! After the initial phone conversation, he had a an estimate to me within 3 days. He was very accommodating to my schedule and pleasant to do business with. His workmanship is wonderful! The outcome was better then I had hoped in both repair jobs. He is professional, friendly, and very courteous. He finished in a shorter time frame than estimated and the final cost was lower than the original estimate.
