Paul is an awesome plumber. Our water heater decided die late Tuesday night. I called him in the morning, by six PM I had a brand new water heater. Since I didn't have a power one before, he had to route an exhaust pipe to the outside. He is a total professional who works quickly, leaves the work area cleaner than it was, and is very reasonable. Paul has come out before with the same results. I will not go with any other plumber.

We have used Benchmark Plumbing before for smaller things, e.g. clogged drains, and have always found them responsive and professional. So when our water heater went out again, less than six months since the last time, we called Benchmark. We had previously had the water heater covered by Service Choice through our gas company and were wholly dissatisfied with their service and responsiveness, so we canceled. I reached out to Paul first thing when we experienced no hot water the morning of 8/28/2015. I was searching for someone that could resolve the issue same day as we had out-of-town company arriving and had lived through 3-4 days without hot water working with Service Choice. Paul, with the permission of another scheduled client, re-arranged his day to complete this work for us. Paul could easily have said he couldn't fit us in, but he went the extra mile to check with his other client to see if he could help us. We appreciate that unnamed client's flexibility so much! All is well! We have enjoyed having a water heater we once again have confidence in and we will keep Benchmark Plumbing as our plumber of choice well into the future. Thank you for your help, Paul!

Paul was able to fix the broken sink stopper quickly and made time to rebuild a sticky faucet even though it wasn't part of the original repair requested. Great communication & quality. Would definitely recommend and use Benchmark Plumbing again!

As a kid of a self-employed contractor, I really like to hire local, small business folks that I can count on. I had Paul come and give me individual estimates on a number of different projects knowing I couldn't afford to do them all at once. He was very easy to talk to and confident about being able to do the work and I felt good about moving forward. Although we discussed approximate pricing, I didn't receive a written estimate until I finally called about a week later. On the day of the job he was a bit late and didn't call and then he ended up going to the store to get the needed supplies, but he worked very quickly (he had another job) and was finished within the time estimated so it turned out fine. He did a great job - good cleanup, quality work and very friendly. I would have no issues with hiring Paul again EXCEPT... When I tried to schedule this next phase of the work, he was too busy so we decided to try again in a couple of weeks. I would try again and he again told me he was swamped and we should get a date on the schedule. I emailed him and tried to set a date so I could ask for it off work, and he never responded. I called a week later and left a message on his cell phone, and again he never responded or called back. I sent a message via Angie's list asking him if he was no longer interested in the balance of the work and you guessed it, he never responded. During this time the small leak in the tub that I was dealing with became a big issue when the faucets wouldn't shut off all the way and we were afraid to use the shower for fear of them shearing off the old pipes. I understand being busy, but communication and follow-through appear to be an issue here and he clearly doesn't want the residential business. I just wish he would have been upfront and told me he prefers commercial work, or at least call me back and decline the work so I could hire someone else...which is what I did when I didn't hear back. Work was completed by another local plumber and his sons all in one day.

I was very pleased with the plumbing service I received from Benchmark Plumbing, Inc. Paul made an effort to accommodate my schedule. He was on time, worked quickly, and cleaned up after the job was finished. He answered all off my questions and was very polite. I would recommend Benchmark Plumbing to anyone.

I have used Paul for a couple other small plumbing projects, so I asked his thoughts around redoing my bathroom completely. He suggested that he do it from start to finish including the tiling so that there was no down time in between projects. This turned in to a larger project as with old homes, the flooring and walls had to be completely taken out and new put in. Since he is the sole person in his business, he did need to attend to others at the same time he was working on my bathroom which definitely added to my timeline. Paul is also a perfectionist and made certain that everything was done perfectly. Even though it took longer and cost more than I originally anticipated, I can't imagine anyone but Paul taking on this project. I am completely thrilled with all of his hard work. On a bonus side, he was also great with my dogs, who now adore him!

We had a 20 year old water heater that was on the decline. I shopped around using Angie's List and found Benchmark plumbing. Paul was very responsive, professional, and efficient, completing the job in only a couple of hours. As well, his price was the easily the best. Highly recommended!

The water pressure in my house was terrible, and it was suggested to me by a friend that replacing the 1st and 2nd valves near the water meter could help. Paul was able to give me a rough estimate over the phone during my initial call. I sent him pictures of the area in question, and he told me that he thought replacing the old pipes and valves would greatly improve our pressure. He was very clear that while he thought it would help he could not guarantee it would. I decided it was worth the risk. Paul took care of everything with the city to pull the permit and have the water shut off to the house. He was on time to the appointment and very professional. He went out of the way to say that if my wife needed to have water for something, we have two small children, he could pull some from the water heater in a pinch. I appreciated his thoughtfulness. He was able to complete the work in a timely manner. In all he removed four valves and several small sections and old pipe and replaced them with copper pipe and new valves. The water pressure in our house improved greatly from his work. It went from barely being able to run a shower to being able to run every faucet in the house without a drop in pressure. It wasn't cheap for the amount of time it took, but plumbing never is. I'm guessing I could have found someone a little cheaper, but I'm not sure they could have done as good a job as Paul.

I was thrilled with the work, Paul was polite and very professional. He was willing to let me know exactly what he was doing and why, He also discovered another plumbing problem that needed fixing...my outside faucet needed to be replaced...which he quickly replaced. I only wished I had used Paul in previous plumbing problems. He is definitely on the top of my list to call when needing a plumber!

I have found my new plumber. When I called Paul, he was courteous and friendly from the get-go. Was upfront about a ballpark price for the service call and took the time to talk brands, models and options for a new disposer which I chose to go purchase myself prior to his visit. Paul arrived exactly when he said he would and replaced an 11-year old garbage disposer which was rusted to the mounting collar - apparently not something common and a little troublesome to remove. Paul carefully surveyed the situation, hauled out his saw and took care of the removal in minutes. Cleaned up everything and installed the new one. Hauled away everything. Price for the whole deal (labor and a high quality 3/4 hp disposer) was almost half the price I was quoted by another plumber. Benchmark has reasonable pricing and an honest and good work ethic. I plan on using him again the next time I need a plumber.

He showed up on time. Identified that the main leak was with the hand sprayer. Since we couldn't get a replacement because it was faucet specific, he worked on other fixes while ran and got a new faucet. When that faucet was dripping and the replacement part sent by the manufacture didn't fix the problem he came back to put in the new fauced. When we discovered that it would not install correctly because of a borken peice, he then waited while I ran and got a third new faucet. He also came back one more time to fix a running toilet and checked the dishwasher for leaks prior to a new floor install. He was able to identify that the connections we not leaking but when the dishwasher switched to drain, the switch was leaking. He was professional and helpful throughout and I will use him again when we need a plumber.

My elderly aunt who is pushing 90 years old got her first dishwasher installed by Benchmark. My brother and I gave the washer and install to her as a gift and were really hoping for a good experience in getting it done. It wasn't a straight forward job as a counter needed to be shifted and re-installed in order to get the machine underneath. Paul did a great job and we were all really pleased with the outcome. We'd use Paul again for other jobs.
