Scott was amazing from the day he provided estimate to the day of completion of project. He was clear in setting up expectation in terms of time, budget and expectations. At completion of project we paid him instantaneously and later called him since some of our personal projects which were not part of estimates were not done. He promptly came over and addressed those also for us without any fuss. After few days he followed up to ensure our satisfaction. note this was after full payment was made. You rarely see such due diligence from service providers.

This project went so much more smoothly than I ever expected. The painters arrived on time, did an excellent work, professional, respectful. They were efficient and very careful and neat when painting was completed. They took great care to remove all their tools and equipment and put my house back in order. They finished my project earlier on plan. I will highly recommend them for future project.

Big job! Took a bit longer than anticipated, but our home was totally transformed and we are beyond pleased. Scott spent a considerable amount of time with us before, during and after the job to ensure everything was managed and completed to expectation. We would highly recommend Scott and his crew!

Very good process all around. With some pictures and text exchanges, Scott was able to give an estimate that was very reasonable. As with many competent painters these days, their availability was out a month or so but that worked well with my schedule. Carlos and his crew were efficient and did a good job of taking time to prepare the area for painting. I was impressed with how they really seemed to enjoy the work they were doing. The quality of the work was great and they were very receptive to addressing any of the minor issues that come up with any paint job. I would definitely use them again if I have painting needs in the future.

Scott did a great job. He was on time, nice to deal with and he did a really nice job at a fair price. We plant use him for some other projects later this year.

Stop looking!! You found your painting crew! I learned about Scott and Upton painting on Angie's list, and I had 4 painters bid on the (many) jobs I needed done. In short, these guys were great. I handed them the keys to the house...and they got it done on time and under budget. Highly capable... and they have the highest character/integrity of any painters I've ever come across. They pointed out a mistake even before I noticed it and they came back to make it perfect. They are committed to doing things the right way at the right price. I give them my highest ranking.

Finished today 12/24/19 Nice and clean with two coats of fresh paint.

I hired Scott Solliday to paint almost all of my 1,200 square foot townhome. During the quote, I took him around and explained everything that I wanted done including patching and sanding of all the nail holes. Scott agreed to the job on the weekend (after I closed on the purchase) and we agreed on a price and date to paint. This is my first home and I’ve never hired a painter before. I was relying on Scott to help guide me in what paint to buy and the process as a whole. Scott was very unhelpful, inattentive, and almost never remembered what we spoke about. On the day of painting, out of the blue, Scott said that he wouldn’t be painting today because he “forgot” his daughter was graduating that day, but his guys would come and paint later in the day and would be there until 2 am. He then provided an excuse that he thought the home would be empty. Scott put some spackle on the various nail holes and in the bedroom where trim was removed. One painter was there throughout the day to paint around the trim. He did not bother to cover any of my possessions and did not use any drop cloths. Yes, he left paint drips all over the floor and even on my new couch that was in the center of the room – that I covered! We bought plastic to cover my possessions! Around 7pm, another painter arrived and was going to paint. I asked him who was going to do the prep work that Scott agreed to do. The painter had no idea who was going to do the prep work, so he called another guy. Then, grabbed a single sanding block and said all he had to do was sand the spots. We called Scott to confirm the prep work that had to be done and Scott said his team will get it done. It is now dark, and the two guys started to paint. Half way through the job we started to notice that paint was EVERYWHERE. There were no drop cloths so there was paint all over the floor, counters, light fixtures, inside the toilets, the bath tub, and scattered on the hand rails. Paint was everywhere except the walls. Since they painted in the dark, there were many spots on the walls that didn’t have paint on them at all. They left around midnight claiming the main level was done and all they had left was the upstairs hallway, bathroom, and bedroom. They said they would be back around 5pm the next day. First thing in the morning, we called Scott. He said his painters would be there around Noon and he would come to my home between 3-4pm. The painters showed up around 3:30 but we would not let them start until Scott showed up, so we could show him the mess his team created! We called Scott again and this time he said he was not coming until the job was finished. I clarified his earlier agreement and demanded he come immediately. Reluctantly, he showed up around 4:30. We walked around the entire home to show him the paint drips, spots, lack of prep work etc. He was not expecting me to be so brutally honest! After walking around, we agreed to end the job and he asked me to pay for the paint of $300. I required that his team clean ALL of the paint from the floors, wood trim, light fixtures and from my BRAND NEW couch! He agreed and spent 2.5 hours making the situation worse. He was using water and simply smearing the paint over the surface. The two painters used an alcohol solution to clean the paint. I eventually told Scott that the cleanup is extensive because they got the paint everywhere and will require much more time and I am not willing to pay $300. He was not happy and instead of talking and coming to an agreement about how this issue would be rectified, Scott stormed off and drove away. He left the two painters there and drove away. His painters continued cleaning up the paint and we appreciated that very much and told them so. It is my belief that Scott thought this would be an easy job to make $1500 so all he had to do was throw paint on the wall and leave, never to be heard from again. Not so fast! I would not recommend Scott Solliday or anyone that works for him! He is a scammer and will leave you extremely frustrated and with a big mess to clean up! Do not hire him!

Amazing job from the initial meeting with Scott to the painting completed by Steve. Scott stopped out quickly after the request was made. He was prompt and professional. Extremely fair pricing. Steve showed up on time and did a excellent job painting five rooms and filling in cracks, etc. I will hire them again. Thank you Upton Inc.!

My old walls and ceilings had quite a few cracks! They were expertly repaired. The crew was very polite and professional. Scott is a prompt and good communicator. I really appreciated his low key demeanor. There was a lot of work to do, and they did it well without any drama, adhering to my schedule and needs. I'd hire them again.

Scott and his crew were punctual, professional, and extremely friendly. They completed the job in the time frame they quoted, and the outcome was fantastic! Best staining/painting job I have ever had done to one of my houses. The price he quoted was the price charged, and believe me, the price was extremely reasonable, especially given the outstanding attention to detail and the quality job he and his crew completed.

The job was completed in 24 hours. The crew was here at 7:00AM and finished by 10:00 PM. Cleanup the next day. Traps placed over shrubs. Crew acted professionally during entire process. Least expensive of 7 bids. Very pleased, Would hire again.

Awesome despite rain delays. Crew worked when I was told they would be there and completed the job in 2 days. A few touch up's will occur after Scott reviewed the work.

Steve took mud brown ( previous owner had painted ) cabinets and turned them into gorgeous off white enamel cabinets that literally brightened the whole top floor! Gorgeous job and great to work with. Upton is a superb company and I would highly recommend. L Scott. Scott and his team are responsive and do a good job. I have had Upton. Inc. paint my personal home interior/exterior, enamel existing wood work, paint multiple rental properties, strip existing ceiling texture and apply knock-down ceiling texture. They are professional, responsive, use quality products and their finished work looks outstanding. Pricing is fair and they always clean up well after they are done. I would highly recommend Upton, Inc. if you are looking for a quality professional painting team.

It looks fabulous now and we couldn't be happier! Scott worked with us to do the job when our family was out of town, which wasn't necessarily convenient for him but we have 6 kids and he knew far better than I that it would be too hard for us to be here with the smells & mess. They did double time to get the job done before we came home, so we could have a functional kitchen right away. Scott was patient and prompt in seeing that detail things we requested get taken care of to our satisfaction. We already have Scott's team scheduled to come back in January to do some more painting for us, so that speaks to the quality of their work and our experience!

Scott was very responsive from the beginning and worked the schedule around an install of a custom closet system. The painters who did the job Steve and Shaun were on time and did a great job. They cleaned everything up nicesly.
