Description of Work: They were supposed to fix my dry wall and paint. They started quickly but after the first day it took two weeks to get them to come back to continue working. Eventually they quit trying to finish.We tried to get a refund but they would only refund 200.00 claiming material cost and labor ate up 1800.00. Terrible service, untrustworthy, poor workmanship.

Sir, so sorry to hear that you and your wife were unhappy with the work that was completed. The project was changed mid contract to add more work which we were not prepared to do at the time and needed to reschedule to come back. That was completed promptly and all touch-ups were completed to the satisfaction of your wife when she paid in full with the discount that she agreed upon. I am only hearing about this dissatisfaction after the fact which makes it pretty difficult to fix when I hear about it in an online review exactly a year after the project took place (Project completed November 2014, and review was written November 2015 by husband who was out of the country when all of this took place). Again, if I knew about the dissatisfaction at the time I could have been able to rectify the problem at the time. With no knowledge of the complaint, its hard for me to address the issue, even if it is simply a misunderstanding. Unfortunately the damage is done with an F rating and the opportunity was not given to myself to help with the concern. Pretty disappointing. It was very difficult for us to get the touch-up work done at the end of the job. We thought a lot of the paint work was sloppy. There were spots left on our carpet and we actually had to pay another painter to come and repaint the house.

It is always Patriarch Paintings goal to provide clean, professional, and punctual service to our customers. We are a Christ centered business, and therefore always strive to glorify Christ in everything we do. This project was completed over a year and half ago and this is the first we are hearing of this complaint. Unfortunately we cannot even attempt to do touch-ups when we do not have any knowledge of the complaint. We did in fact return to touch up some areas of the home at the end of the project and did so precisely and professionally. We discussed the remaining questions with the homeowner and he agreed everything was touched up properly and the work was complete. I do wish I had this knowledge a year and a half ago, so that I could have readdressed any other concerns of the customers. But again, I am just now learning of this. We would have gladly come back and touched up any area that needed it, as touch ups are always a part of the process and are at no time charged as additional labor. As to the complaint of the “spots” on the carpet, there was only one drip that did in fact land on the carpet and was identified by our employees and the customer was immediately informed (as is our company’s policy). We used a carpet cleaning and stain remover to remove the spot and had the customer review the area. The review listed spot(s) to which again, we are not aware of this complaint, and are just now hearing about it a year and a half later. I do have to say, I enjoyed conversations with the family during the project as we talked about life, family, and even ministry as they are fellow believers and are active in their local church. I pray for their ministry and I wish the homeowners blessings on their new home and do hope they are enjoying the blessing of their new home. Unfortunately negative feedback on Angie's List doesn’t look good (unfortunate for us), and that can in fact hurt our business flow. But, I also know that our track history of reviews both on Angie's List, word of mouth, and through our website ( www.PatriarchPainting.com – Review pictures of work all around Charleston area ) speak for themselves. Always remember with any project there quit possibly could be touch-ups and we are ALWAYS happy to make sure that every touch up is properly taken care of at no additional charge, we just need to know about them if we missed them. Whole house got painted including minor repairs to walls. I talked to Andy the owner, got an estimate and set everything up. He was very nice to deal with and very professional. He gave me some really good advice up front, including helping me in choosing colors. He also did some of the painting and trim. Scott did the majority of the work. He showed up promptly on time each day. That is really important to me. He did an outstanding job despite having to work around furniture AND three cats. Scott was also congenial and very professional. He worked non-stop the days he was at the house. He not only is a hard worker but he also kept the place clean and straight. He did an excellent job with all painting and trim. Popcorn ceilings were also repainted. I was very reluctant to get this job done as it is a big job. Scott and Andy made it a pleasant experience and I would hire them again in an instant. I recommend Patriarch Painting to everyone. You can count on trustworthy workers who do a great job. And by the way....they gave me the best estimate out of five other painters that I found on Angie's list.
