He did details and did it on time, as we agreed upon.

It did not go well at all. The bill was different from the estimate. The estimate was for 3500 dollars. The man hours he had listed. You pay his people from the time they leave his shop until they get to your destination. I did not appreciate that. It was 50 bucks an hour. This was a house that was built in 1920. It had concrete steps at three entrances. There was one entrance in particular, it seemed like two feet. It was a little bit too much. At one place, the step was too narrow. My wife fell because of the steps and that was the primary reason. An insurance company said we needed to get a handrail on the steps. The work itself was satisfactory, but the billing was not satisfactory.

Larry Murphy showed up over two hours later than he said he would and after a few minutes with him, I understood why he was so late. He measured the rooms that needed redone (which I had to help him with) in about five minutes and then spent the next 2+ hours talking about every political topic under the sun! It was like listening to one of those AM radio talk shows. We could not get a word in edgewise and he would not leave! A few days later we received a bill for $100.00 for the estimate! He had never mentioned charging for the estimate at any point during his 2 1/2 hour 'visit' with us. Having just gone through 2 1/2 years of battling with our previous contractor to get repairs done properly, and not succeeding, we decided to just pay Pro Home Improvement the $100 and part ways. We still felt the need to post this review to warn others in our area so they wouldn't have the same experience.
