American Energy Sys. does not have any field techs for installation or support. Contacted two Magnum dealers. Neither had not dealt with pellet furnaces, only stoves. They did not know how to install or adjust pressurization of furnace. Called Duane (tech guy) and custormer service for help/advice. Was told to find any HVAC serviceman. Now tell me if their own dealers can't figure it out how in Gods name can any HVAC guy know. Anyway, I did hired and pay four different HVAC men and the furnace is still not in use. Todays date March 8 2013. I just had to give up because I ran out of money. It would have saved a ton of cash to just get my natural gas furnace going, which I did at $987.00! There another expense! The only decent service is from Rob, the shipping guy. He will go above and beyond to try to help in any way. Unfortunately he does not have the training of how the furnace works. I myself am in a service business and would NEVER treat my clients in the manner I have been treated. American Energy Systems has the utmost poorest product backing and customer service I have EVER dealt with. They will all talk to you nice on the phone, but don't expect anything more after they get your money. Through some investigation I was able to talk to two other people that purchased these furnaces. They to ran into the exact same issues that I did. Looking forward to American Energies lame reply to this review.
Description of Work: Purchased new 6500 Magnum pellet furnace. No services performed. Shipped 1st furnace Oct. 2012 , arrived dented and broken. Returned and recieved REPAIRED furnance in Nov. 2012.

We understand [member name removed] frustration but do not agree with her evaluation of the product or services. [member name removed] purchased the 6500 from the factory and both Duane and Rob gave her excellent tech advice on how to get the unit installed properly. The freight company or [member name removed] damaged the unit in shipping and at a cost to the factory we fixed up the unit for her and gave her a brand spanking new unit. [member name removed] installed the unit herself instead of hiring the required HVAC installers and after receiving pictures of the improperly installed appliance the factory determined that the appliance operation was compromised by the install. Duane assisted [member name removed] numerous times in how to properly install the unit, directed her to proper installers and she refused to use them because of cost or they refused to touch the install because it was so poorly done. After all of this Duane and Rob offered to sell the unit for [member name removed] to help her recoup her costs. She refused. This is not a matter of the factory not offering a good product or service. It is a matter of [member name removed] not wanting to spend the money to install the unit correctly the first time, listen to the factory techs and in the end not responding to their advice or help.

for anyone interested in buying a pellet burner DON'T BUY a Magnum countryside. I have had mine for a few years now and EVERY year I have had to put $200-$300 dollars into it just to get it to work, 2 auger moters, and auger, and now the motor on the pellet stirrer has stopped, and was told it would be $333. to get it fixed. I bought the darn thing to save money but have had to put more money tinto the stove than I would have saved just burning propane!

AES strives to satisfy every customer. This unit was purchased back in 2007, almost 5 years ago and we have been involved with the dealership techs that have tried to work with the customer. The problems stem from improper installation, improper maintenance and she was not willing to listen or work with the different techs that tried to help her. We tried also and our advice was refused. Eventually the tech's had to leave it be. We wish we could have been of more service but the appliance did well considering the circumstances that it was allowed to run in and performed as best as it could. We have over one hundred thousand of this model in service and have very little problems is installed and operated correctly. We wish her well and wish that we could have helped her more.
